Oh, Sheila - The missing part never goes away! It hasn't for me either and it's been over 15 years. Long ago I gave myself permission to mourn or cry whenever I felt the need. We don't need other people to define our feelings. I honor our anniversaries in MY way. None of us know what it's like for someone else. Larry was a very good man and will not be forgotten. I'm sorry you have to suffer through another tough winter. Tell your whole family to get that pellet stove working - NOW!

The conversation about the homeless problem, which is very bad in this area - Those of us senior seniors may remember or heard about something called the Conservation Corps. Back in FDR's day there were so many young out of work males that this program was created to put them to work doing public improvements, etc. at Nat'l parks, monuments, etc. If you have every camped or even just visited in a National Park you have enjoyed the pathways, trails, bridges, buildings, etc. these guys built. They were given a place to sleep, meals, and a small pay which many of them sent home to their families. Every time I visit one or our gorgeous parks I remember these young men who were put to work instead of living on the streets. I think we could use another program like that for people to work for their aid.
