Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Been fairly busy today. I got my kitchen table back in the kitchen from the porch and the second long table set up in the porch along the back wall with the other one. Now to get stuff sorted and organized. So hot in the porch, I can only be out there for a short time.

Went to the BBQ. Not a lot of people there but the food was good. They had hamburgers, hot dogs and BBQ ribs. The ribs were really good but needed some BBQ sauce. I would have brought some sauce if I had known they were having those. Lots of other good dishes there. They set up a couple corn hole games and several people started playing after we ate. Was fun to watch. I tried it later after they were done just to see if I could do it with my shoulder issues. Nope. Not enough strength or range of motion to throw far or high enough to get it to the other end. :(

Sun is going down so will see if there are more fireworks from across the street again tonight.

Will probably work on a lesson or two tonight before going to bed. Nothing on TV on Monday nights.

I think tomorrow I will just do general house cleaning and get caught up on that.

Right now I am drawing out a fun design for another gourd project. There is a contest for unusually shaped gourds with the American Gourd Society's quarterly gourd magazine that I want to enter. (they have different contests to enter for every issue). It doesn't have to be done until December but this one will challenge my new skills with carving and wood burning but should be fun to work on. It will be a whimsical cobra snake. I picked up a couple crazy looking gourds when I was in Arizona and one of them will be perfect for this idea (I hope!) :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

do you have to send it somewhere Barbi or do you send in a picture?
was going to go for a drive but didn't get stuff done before it was too late to go....
did make a potato salad rather enjoyed it but for sure it's too much for us should have sent some home with niece... :?
Martha if you haven't looked at the recipe yet ... it is coated with a mixture of dijon mustard honey and seems like something else then a mixture of chopped up pecans, chopped parsley and dry bread crumbs it is super easy to make when my mom made it in the oven she always covered it when I did it in the air fryer I didn't it was super moist and just yummy (pat on the back)
had niece over with her girls (nephew was not feeling overly well and he doesn't like watermelon) for watermelon it was probably the worst one I've bought... I tossed what we didn't eat into the garbage...
could have gone and watched fireworks with them but just wasn't in the mood to could hear them told my niece that this way I can complain that I didn't do anything she replied back but you did we came for watermelon..
The Pioneer Woman had a recipe for a lemon raspberry pie that really sounded good... will have to get ingredients for it and someone to help eat it  as again we won't get the whole pie eaten before tired of it
I hope everyone has had a great 4th of July...
