Regarding good Salmon....Maybe Liz will come in for two cents. When I stopped by this winter she fixed up some ALaskan Salmon that was delicious. AN I usually have not found salmon all that tempting. I don't have any idea of the cost vs what you can find in the store but I will definitely attest to the quality. She purchases her Salmon directly from an Alaskan native own company and it is shipped to her.

Managed to get myself to the grocery store finally. The sun came out and it was a nice morning so off I went. Home $145 lighter. BUT I did buy some meat, just a pack of 3lbs of hamburger, and a small chuck roast that I will cut in half and freeze the rest for later. A few goodies like a pack of Lorna Doone cookies, BBQ chips to go with my sandwich, and some popsicles. I resisted the urge to buy any ice cream. I cannot buy Umpqua anymore as it tastes totally different than it used to. The company sold out to a California company and now it is horrible in my opinion. I still like Tillamook tho so that helps, but instead I bought a box of sugar free popsicles LOL Shirl I like Wild Planet 6oz can of salmon the best but it is often hard to find so I then opt for Bumble Bee pink salmon in the large can. I always remove the skin but not the bones in the Bumble Bee as I like the calcium I get from it. Wild Planet has no skin, no bones.

So now have some luncheon meat again (my gosh it is expensive now) I will peek thru for the gold inside. LOL Not much else just some staples I needed to restock in my pantry.

when I make salmon patties I would use the large can of Bumble Bee Red Salmon husband hated the pink salmon after trying it one time I gladly went back to the red... more in my opinion flavor... put I take out the skin and bones... actually I don't do bones and skin on chicken either...
I enjoy reading what ever thing anyone has to write.... sometimes I can remember to mention what others have said.. ;)
Anita are you taking your car or the slingshot? you didn't say what cruise line you are taking to AK
last night at 3 I heard mom opening up the door... came out to see why she went outside... she was checking the light over the garage to make sure it wasn't on... guess she couldn't sleep and started wondering about it...
woke up to snow that had accumulated maybe up to 1/2 inch or less hard to tell it melted off pretty fast but snowed off and on all day ... mom asks if I've had enough snow yet frankly it can come in snow or rain at this point rain would be really nice it would mean that it's warmer right? but not going to complain at the moisture it is so needed the biggest problem is it is slowing down get crops in although here they aren't even trying but if it's too wet later they won't be able to when they need too...
either forgot to set the alarm or turn it off when it went off (I normally hit snooze) not sure which happened but woke up about 10:50 got up in a hurry  of course mom was in the restroom :? but she had taken her pill just then so had to wait until later to eat so did grilled cheese in the AF and peaches... tasted good the sandwich was so crispy cheese not as melted and stringy has I'd like but that could be the cheese or perhaps it just wasn't melted as well as it needed to be... another day I will do it a bit different
Tina that was probably quite the sight to see all of those rigs having to be pulled out
Lyn I sure wish that she would change her mind...
the winds are all over...
well if I'm going to get a game in I better sign off
you all have a good day
