So sorry to hear of you daughters troubles Lyn, getting to NH. I just pray every day that my car keeps behaving itself. I wont buy a new car due to no chips or parts if you can even find one. Used cars are extremely expensive and dont even think about a rental car..... unless you have robbed a bank or something. Martha I lost the alternator in my Motorhome on my way north a few years ago. Fortunately it was only a few miles from my house but stuck on the side of the freeway. Had it towed to my reputable Light truck and RV shop. They had it fixed by 5pm BUT then there was a leak in my radiator. Needed to order a new one and 6 hours of labor they said. So $3500 and a week later it was all good. Since I was heading up to help out at the Tibetan Spaniel National Specialty show, I made a reservation at a local hotel, and just drove up. That is the only time in my umpteen years of RV'ing I ever had to be towed. Thank goodness it was the last.
We have so many talented people on here with paintings, gardenings, gourds, cooking...I learn something all the time. One of the things that impresses me most on here is how we are all willing to help and support one another. I know the huge amount of support I got from you all when the Wildfire wiped out most of our town sure made my heart swell.
