Sheila, make chili like I do: make a main pot without beans. When it's done, take a second pot and put in the beans you like, ladle in enough chili for your serving, let come to warm, then serve you each what you like. The second pot is easy to clean because nothing is really cooked, but just warmed in it. I do that when I make chili for son, Chris, and I because I can't eat beans, because I react to them and they are high carb, bad for insulin response in anyone.
It's been warm past few days in mid 50's days and tonight 52, when a few days ago it was 35 at night. Continued working on kitchen until my back spasm caught up with me again. Made some progress, uncovering first of 4 chairs. Once they are moved somewhere, I can open and empty my hutch, so it can be moved, then the big rolling cart of can goods can move to porch and big oak table can move, all so dining half of room can get the new flooring.
Off to slumber land. Have a good Wednesday,
Velda
