Judy if you haven't already gotten the gift I'd go for just a plain jane stuff animal ... I used to work in an assisted care center and the person who gets the gift usually doesn't hang on to it very long especially when they have Alzheimer's they forget other's forget that it's not theirs it's just a sad truth she won't know if you spent 5 dollars or 50 and I know that build a bear is expensive...just a thought as sad as it is

My mom had a stuffed dog she named Bo, that she had right up until her death. It got lost once and I asked the nursing staff if they knew what happened to it. Two of the guys came back to her room and practically ransacked it looking for that dog. They finally found it under the bed way up against the back wall. I have Bo now.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
