Happy birthday Lyn!! Try to act surprised!

Just after I posted this morning that the sun was out, I heard rumbling off in the distance. It was thunder! Dark clouds moving in from the south. When I was at work, we heard a huge crack of thunder that made us jump. Took a look outside and it was starting to rain. Turned out we just got enough to make a mess of the dust on my car.

I got a call back from the place in Palm Desert for the live scan and got an appointment for noon today. I drove out there and knocked on the door at 11:50 but no answer, so I waited in my car until noon. Then went and knocked again for several minutes and waited for a bit. I called the number and got his voicemail but it cut off before I could leave a message. I waited a bit longer but gave up and headed off to work. He never called or texted me after that. Waste of time. So I guess I have to head to Desert Hot Springs tomorrow. I sure hope this job is worth it, if I even get hired. Wish I would hear from the library job.

We closed up shop a half hour early today because we ran out of supplies to work with. Hopefully, we get more on Monday.

edit...some good news! My next door neighbor lady has decided to adopt the gray kitty! He is super sweet and affectionate and has been spending time in her house. So happy for them! He needs a good home and he gets along great with her dog too. Perfect fit!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

that is neat Barbie for the kitty getting a home... it's so aggravating when you have an appointment and they are a no show... but think of the positive part half way to the apple place fun drive... I was talking with my sister in law today and they took a drive a beautiful day so drove a hour and half to Missouri and fried cat fish .... sure wish I'd been with them... been so long since I've had any
hmmm what did I do today just some of the normal and a trip to the grocery store... on way home realized that I stayed mostly with the list and on that list was nothing for supper and I just couldn't do pasta again... put groceries away and talked with sister in law and then told mom that we were going to go out for supper finally decided to go get something as she was sleeping so went to DQ as she likes their shrimp went through the drive up no shrimp it's a seasonal thing oops so got her chicken nuggets me a hamburger had I known before I got into the drive through and no way out except following the car in front of you or ending up in the creek... I would have gone else where and gotten a really good hamburger... like at liberty burgers... or somewhere else...
you all have a great day
