We are in an area with the highest covid numbers in the state and hospitals are filling up and many of the new cases are seriously ill children!! We had 115 new cases yesterday in our county!! I think they should set up two schools as a trial, one for all the kids whose parents say no masks and the other for children wearing mask then in two weeks compare the number of cases.
Ah, BJ, I like your idea. A LOT. But I am not nearly so charitable as are you.
I thought about this during the last surge, and here we are once again, so maybe it is time to put this thing I have been thinking about in place. Best part is, it leaves the kids and the schools out of it!
All of these anti-maskers and anti-vaxers and Covid-is-a-hoax people have had their say, now it's time for the rest of us to get into the game.
What I suggest is this: since things are currently so bad in the hospitals, and bound to get worse, get these anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers, and Covid-is-all-a-big-hoax people to - finally - pitch in. They talk so much about what fine and outstanding citizens they are, I am sure they would be more than happy to help out. Put their money where their mouth is, so to speak.
Get them, to, say, spend a day (or even just a couple of hours) working in an ICU Covid ward just helping out. I'm sure they would volunteer, if they knew that they could. They could do the menial, non-medical tasks - the kind that need doing, and that anyone can do, tasks that would free up other people for the more important stuff.
Why not? It would be a win-win situation. Since they don't need a mask, and don't need a vaccine, and since the Covid 19 virus is a gigantic hoax anyway, they could really help out in these over-run hospitals, and be a major help to their country.
Oh, yeah.
Since they won't be wearing a mask, and won't be vaccinated, and think the whole Covid thing is a hoax anyway, I'm sure that they would be more than happy to sign a release stating that the hospital is not responsible in the remote - make that totally and completely impossible non-existent possibility - that they might get sick. Because they won't, right? Because it is all a hoax, right?
I would LOVE to see how THAT goes down about 5 to 10 days later.
Tell you what, though. Once all of the dust clears, it just might end the pandemic as we know it.
Feeling a bit evil this afternoon. Must be the heat. Puts me in a really bad frame of mind.
Heh.
