Thursday with Rain here in SW Ohio

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I realized after I got up that I couldn't find my hair clippers to do Dave's haircut with today, so I had to run to the shop and look for them there. Couldn't find them there either so I took the ones I use at work and brought them back with me. On the way home I stopped at a farmer market and picked up some fresh strawberries (they are in season again here) and a couple other things. Then stopped at the new WM shop. I guess they are pretty slow for now, even with an $8.99 haircut sale. Picked up a few things at WM and then stopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond before getting lunch at a burger joint. Sat and ate outside and it was beautiful out! On my way back to my car I looked at my watch, it was 2:15! I was supposed to be at Dave & Debbie's place at 2:00 for their haircuts! Just lost track of time! Called them and said I was on my way. Dave had a tee time for golf so didn't have time for his haircut so I just cut Debbie's and then we chatted for awhile.

I tried the paint remover spray I got, on the window trim. Nothing happened. I waited a bit and then tried scrubbing it but nothing came off. Grrrr! :x I got more off with my fingernails than that! I sanded some of it off the raised areas (it is very textured) and then decided to just paint over it and see what happens. I masked it all off around the window trim and then spray painted it. It looked nice when I finished but will see tomorrow how good it stays on over the old paint. I will see if I can have Dave paint the rest of the trim in the next couple weeks before the heat sets in for the summer. It was 80 today and will be 83 tomorrow so the temps are already started to climb. By April we will be in the 90's.

I saw photos and videos of the St Patty's Day Parade here in the park from yesterday. Looked like a big fun party! However, I also noticed that not one person had a mask on or were social distancing. I am estimating about 100 people were at the after-parade party singing and dancing. Glad I wasn't there. I am sure a lot of them have had their vaccines already but some of us haven't. I wonder if the board members will have any comments about that. They have been very strict about the rules and restrictions around here.

I watched the movie "Rio" tonight. I have wanted to watch it for quite awhile and saw that it was on one of the cable channels. It was cute. Part of it took place (in cartoonland) in Moose Lake, MN so there were a lot of Minnesota references. The commercials tho, played in 10 minute segments, between 10 minutes of the movie!

Last week I reserved a ticket for the zoo's Spring Wildlights event. Since they got shut down right before their annual Christmas Wildlights event, they decided to do it in the spring instead. However, I can't remember what day I ordered the ticket for. I think it is for tomorrow night but I don't think I got a confirmation on it by email. So I will call in the morning and see if I can find out. They charged my debit card for it so I know the reservation went thru.

I have a PT appointment tomorrow morning. Then work on my list of things to do after that. The winds are supposed to pick up again tomorrow and Saturday but not as bad as last week.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
