Velda, our AQI is 115 out here and I didn't think that was too bad. Yours sounds much better now. Glad it has improved so much up that way. The winds are changing direction soon here and bringing in cooler temps but also more smoke.
So far, my AC has been working good all day. Each wall unit has its own thermostat built in. I control it only by a remote.
Karen, thanks for the info on the smoke levels there. Hopefully, that will decrease significantly by the time we head up there in a couple more weeks. I am glad I talked her out of going this coming weekend. I read that many of those fires were started from power lines that came down in the strong winds that blew thru there last week.
Irmi, I am sure you are anxious to get to your new lot in FL and get settled in for the season.
Martha, the shoulder issues can also cause tinging in your hand from a pinched nerve up there. I have that occasionally. I also use a pillow to put my arm on when I lay on my side at night to support my shoulder. I have issues now with hooking my bra and have started to hook it in front and turn it around. At work now, when I put on my apron, I have to have someone else tie it in back because it hurts my shoulder to reach back there.
The worst bugs at night have to be mosquitoes!!
Nothing worse than those buzzing in your ear! And then trying to find them and chase them down! Once you think you got it, as soon as you turn out the light, another one is buzzing in your ear! Of course I just keep slapping at my ears until I have a headache!
Speaking of headaches, I was outside with the AC guy this morning and I reached down to pick up some debris on the grass. I stood up and bonked my head pretty hard on the underside of the slide-out on the neighbors RV! Luckily, I didn't hit the corner of it! Sure got a nasty headache from that one!
I didn't get much done today. I took a long nap this afternoon, had some dinner and watched Gunsmoke before I headed for bed a little while ago. Just laying here with Lola. Hopefully, I can fall asleep fairly soon. Our night time temps are supposed to be down to 70 by this weekend so maybe I can open the windows at night if the smoke isn't too bad.
I will try to finish up on the gourd tomorrow. I have some small details to paint on it which makes me nervous that I will screw it up. I need to go buy some more paint in the colors I need first tho. I will practice on scrap gourd piece before doing it on the other gourd.
