Cloudy Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Shirl, just think, now you have a pretty ring that looks expensive and won't be a major loss if you drop it somewhere!!

I am looking forward to it being a tad warmer tomorrow--like a high of 58 instead of 50!! Last night was really chilly, and as I drove south from north of Yakima today, there were a lot of low hills with snow on them!! Brrrrr.

I am in LePage for a couple of days, then flying down to spend a couple of days with my son and grandkids before heading back to Eugene and my cat scan and bone marrow biopsy the following week. Then I am going to high-tail it back east. Hoping to make it to Michigan in 10-11 days. We shall see if I need to stop and rest a day or two on the way. Once I get out of Oregon, it will be all freeway, which will help. I really get tired of curvy roads, and all the up and down of mountains. Also, tired of having to pull over to let lines of cars pass. And freeways will have lots of fast food and easy gas stations.

When I do laundry on Thursday in Eugene this week, I am going to switch back to my down comforter from my summer-weight cotton one. Need the warmth.

Barbie - I'm concerned about abruptly changing from cans to dry, too. Have you considered both? I always give my cats about 1/4 can of the wet food once a day along with a small amount of dry - about a palm full. The second feeding (night one) I just put dry down. I may be wrong, but I feel they need the dry to keep their teeth healthy and the wet to get the oil and water for good digestion. Glad she's doing so much better. Evie

Lola was tested for thyroid issues but tests came back normal. She is on Pred so am thinking that is why her appetite is high. Just wondering why she hasn't gained weight from all the food she is eating. I will check with her vet this week about it and see what he says.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie as Lola been checked for parasites worms that sort of thing...where she is eating so much and not gaining
seems like there might be something going on... that you aren't aware of
and the fact that it returns but then I might not know what I am talking about

Yep, she has been checked for all that. Everything came back normal. IBD is what they diagnosed her with. Will check with the vet this week to see if he has any other thoughts.
