Another Week Begins

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I plan to get a storage unit out there, rent a U-Haul and bring most of my stuff, the bigger stuff down there a week or two before closing on this place. Will try to schedule closing on the other place the next day or so after this one closes. Then I need to go thru all the stuff in that house and sell or donate it right away before I can move my stuff in there. I think she left all the drawers and cupboards full of stuff so that all has to get cleaned out first. So a lot of work ahead of me both here and there!

My GC's manager is aware of my situation and I will give her a two week notice as soon as I accept an offer. I need two weeks after that to get things packed and ready to go here. My handyman said he will help me load the U-Haul and go with me out there to help unload it. I can handle the bins and boxes but not the furniture. I also need to get the stuff I have here that I don't want to take with me, sold. There is a carport sale here on May 4th but will sell small stuff at that. I want more than garage sale prices for the bigger stuff. Will advertise that on CL and NextDoor. I put For Sale post-its on what I want to sell so maybe the buyer will want to buy some of it.

I keep having dreams that I am living in Minnesota and trying to get back to California! I wake up relieved that I am already here! When I was back in MN, I would have dreams that I was in California and would wake up so disappointed! Funny how the mind works! At least I know I am in the right place!

Time for bed. Hope I can get to sleep tonight. I feel better since stopping the meds but now I have a lot of things running thru my mind so am hoping I can shut that off for the night.

Barbie, think of the new place as a treasure hunt! Who knows you may find cash or coins or other valables!
You will be so relieved when the move and move in are done!
I had an adventurous day: Firestone to get the battery I had asked for to begin with. Then found the Costco on that side of town carries diesel so filled van tank to tune of 20 gallons for $77. From there to my favorite Les Schwab where a new guy came out as I pulled in and checked brakes (all pads at least 75% still there), aired tires and inspected them outside and inner side and said all good. Then home to continue care for sick kitty who will go to vet for the day tomorrow. I think she reacted to her RX but vet skeptical. We shall see, I just want her better.
Tomorrow after dropping Mandy off I head to Harp RV in Lincoln who notified me that my Lifeline AGM batteries for house part of RV have arrived. Bless the people at Battery Guys of AZ!

I know there are a few things I do want to keep there. Who knows what all is in the cupboards and shed? I will look thru it all first and keep what I want. Kind of like my own private garage sale but free!
