still haven't put up any decoration's think about it just haven't done it...seems like something comes up and takes the time away..there is always tomorrow right? till not!!!
need to get up and turn on the buddy getting chilly it got chilly early this year. think I am courting a cold but have news for it not enough time this week to give into it perhaps next week?
Lorna if you see this was it VA that paid for the ramp or just construct it?
have a friend who's husband is a vet in his 90's broke his ankle so is bed bound they need one just to get him to see the dr easier at the least as it is his wife calls 911 asks for assistance to load him into the car and then back into the house... benefits of a small town... but it also makes it hard for my friend to leave the house so if there was a ramp it might make it easier to go other places...perhaps

My biggest problem this year is that the cold is making it very unpleasant to do anything outside, even taking out the trash, which is about an 800' walk. So, there is no sitting outside, no walking outside, no visiting anything outside. I postponed laundry from today until tomorrow because of the rain, but it will be a chilly walk with a high of 47 tomorrow.

I guess I am getting what people in the north call "cabin fever." It occurs when you are stuck inside for too long, especially in the winter when there is so little daylight. My last day here is going to be Jan 30, and I will be out of here so fast!! Have to come back once a month for tests, but in the meantime, I can either fly to Ohio to see my kids there, or head south to Napa and to spend a couple of weeks at Hensley Lake Hidden View Campground, a COE place that is always quiet and pleasant and costs $15 per night!!! The place is always empty, so if anyone wants to join me, it is near Madera, CA. Will know in a couple of weeks if I am going. Lake is pretty dry, but good views of mountains in distance and would you believe that last time I was there, the ranger remembered my name??? Electric or no-electric sites, but good views.

Just been looking around for stuff to do. There are a couple of ballets in town in December: Babes in Toyland and the Nutcracker and a couple of concerts. And even HMS Pinafore. Lion King is in town next week, but I saw it in London, so I might be disappointed. Got to find something to do or I will go nuts!!

I am going to lunch Thursday with a lady I met who teaches various English classes at the university, so am looking forward to that.

Judy, that is why I moved to CA. I couldn't stand being stuck inside all winter long not being able to go out and do stuff. Cabin fever is a real thing.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
