June 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Forgot to say rabbits this morning, but saw one in the campground...and deer. Does that count? Beautiful cool sunny day on the Skyline Drive. I'm looking forward to meeting up with Paulette and touring D.C. I've never been there and it has been on my bucket list. Peggy, I will be sorry to miss you this summer, but go and enjoy the Maritimes. I will be at my sister's in MA from mid July for 4-6 weeks after her knee replacement surgery, helping her and my BIL. So let me know if you get back sometime in August.

Looking forward to reading about everyone's travel adventures this summer, and thoughts and prayers for you and Mel, Velda.

It's the middle of the day here, but checking in. Beautiful and sunny in south Dakota. I had a great time being tour guide Sunday in Custer State Park for friends I haven't seen in 8 years. We're hoping it isn't so long this time... Possibly even gtg again this winter.

I'm looking forward to seeing a couple forum sisters in the next little bit. I heard from Barbie that she made reservations for a week, as she posted. We'll have a good time.

I did say rabbits this morning. I'm just not sure I didn't say anything to Peaches anytime before that.

End of the day but a quick check-in. Not spending much time online so 'out of the loop'. Martha, hope all goes well with having Harold at home. Continued prayers for Mel and Velda,

I am in Maggie Valley, NC for the SS rally. Truck, camper and trailer are in storage in Kansas for two months. Will head back to Kansas Sunday, finish up dental work there then travel to Washington State with just the SS.

Hey, I'm still around, tried one morning to post, signal was not good, so went poof and I haven't tried since. I've kept up with most of you, I think. I forgot rabbits, my first words were to this tiny little thing I have that came bounding out of the bedroom and wiggling all over jumped in my lap, that's his morning greeting every morning, I love it !!

Martha, Velda thinking and hoping for the best for you all. Travelers, I'm doing my best not to be envious , I do enjoy hearing everyone's plans. As soon as my A/C is fixed, it didn't work for me coming home from Fl, kept cutting off. Wee problem dealing with Thor as to where to get parts but they'll be on their way soon, coming from Michigan, which is where I want to go.

Hopefully this will post, I'm still here, will post when I can get it to go.

Stay Safe Everyone, enjoy your summer !!

I actually remembered to say RABBITS this morning. So hoping for a good month. I have been busy working in my yard and garden. My yard is pretty simple actually but I made it way harder this year by planting several bushes and a Dogwood tree. Then had to repair the sprinkler and drip systems. Been trimming the bushes all around my house. I dont mind the trimming so much but the bagging up of the debris and disposing of it takes a lot of work. I have had a gardener when I was working but now that I am home I just enjoy doing it myself (well today not so much)

Have a camping trip planned for 2 weeks the middle of the month. Will be camping with Laura for a few days on the Umpqua River then just cruising around to a couple of other campgrounds Eugene and Roseburg then will head home. Taking the new pup for her maiden camping experience so not sure how relaxing it will be ha ha She is 4 months now and went for her first grooming appointment yesterday. I told my groomer to just do as much as she would tolerate, like her nails and paw pads. She is just basically a bath and brush. She said she did awesome. I have been playing with her feet, tail, ears and not much seems to bother her. We are still in the potty training stage....well I am pretty well trained to go out every couple of hours Emma not so much LOL

Barbie has plans now. YAY good for you. Hope to hook up with you if you cruise my way on your travels. Lots of others with plans too, the only problem out here in Oregon is all the dang people that want to come camp up here ha ha

I like the idea of bunnies over rabbits! Nice to hear from a lot of members with exciting things happening.

I'm at over 8,000 feet at a state park in Eagle's Nest, NM. No hookups so I am going to bed early. Headed for Taos and Abiquiu Lake tomorrow. This irritated prairie dog was chewing me out tonight for camping too close to her home, I think:

As usual, I'm a day or 3 late and a few dollars short. Had lousy service in the wilds of Arkansas....that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL! I've been gone since April 16th and been having so much fun! Towed my bike on a trailer instead of bringing a car this time and Rode all over Texas and Arkansas...just drop dead beautiful backroads. Lots of wind no matter where I went, a couple of repairs on the rv and fun times with friends and family. Very slowly headed back home to SoCal for the annual Grands trip on July 8th. They chose a cruise this year, so we're cruising to Mexico. Right now I'm in Seminole, Oklahoma. Catfish rv park. Theres a restaurant on site that advertises best catfish in Oklahoma...don't know if it is, but its pretty darn good. Full HU pull thru for 20 a nite with strong wifi. Can't ask for more than that. Looks like everyone is doing ok, altho I read a couple of things I should back track and check on. Hugs to all and prayers for those that need them.

Well I'm only 5 days late, & yes, I'm still around! Kinda like answering roll call late so I can read what everyone is doing. All sounds pretty good for our forum family! As for me, I've been doing my usual spring/summer gardening. Actually, not so usual since it's been a very cool & wet spring, so trying to get things done between rain showers. Veggies are growing very slowly but flowers have come on strong. Don't have any plans for much travel this summer, maybe a few short trips. Anyone in the upstate NY area, my camp driveway is open:)

So now that I'm here, I might as well see if anyone has opened MC for today--the 6th already, & Sue may be on the road?
