TGIF

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Barbie, you reminded me that there is a Home and Garden Show this weekend here. I don't know if I will make it over there or not. I think the admission is about $10. I don't think you should have to pay to get into something were they are trying to sell you something.

That's great that Disney has the special food that some people need. It really is a Magic Kingdom. My grandson is going again this summer for about the 5th year in a row. My son wanted to know if I wanted to go. No Thanks. If I ever go to Disney World again it will be a kid free visit. I have been with kids enough. I feel like I paid my dues.

I think we have everything lined up to move my son's trailer. But guess what, the land is too wet. Nothing is going to get done until it drys up and we have a week of rain coming. If we get it done by the end of April we will be lucky.

Martha, I know what you mean about places being kid free. I know I was one once, but that's something I leave for the parents. I'd rather be helping you move the sons trailer. Ava, congrats on the pass. I can't wait until we can get ours. I always called it the old people pass! LOL!

Speaking of old people....
at work today, a 20 something guy came into the shop for a haircut. I checked him in and was going to take him back to my chair, when he pointed to my (young) manager and asked if she could cut it instead because he wanted someone who knows how to cut "young people's hair". Ouch!! :o
One of my co-workers could barely hold in her laughter until we got to the break room! We made a lot of jokes out of that one all day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

That's funny Barbie. I bet he has some really cool moves with his girl friends too. He sounds pretty clueless.

Lost the first post but did add a few photos of our campfire last night under the Hardee Lake gtg thread.

Space heater came back out late last night. Long johns and sweats were the norm today. Weatherman claimed it was in the 50s but with a 20 mph wind sure did not feel that warm.
Had a great day anyway until we all got soaked by the rain while going thru exhibits at Pioneer Park celebrating Pioneer Days. Only a brief shower back at our campground about half hour away. Regret not getting to visit the Wildlife Refuge at Pioneer Park but maybe a few of us will get opportunity to go back.

Tonight the DO group invited us to join them at big fire in the field behind our campsites. Most of them are camped in the woods on other side of field. Tomorrow is their big cook off; should be an interesting day.

Barbie, you laughed at the young'un and I laughed at a male chauvinist (though of you, Anita) today. I got back to Chiricahua and was walking Peaches when a man was backing his truck camper into a space - but he wasn't anywhere near the space and was about to back completely into the fence along the road between spaces. He stopped so I stayed quiet - he was maybe 6 inches from the fence when he stopped. But then he started moving again - and NOT away but TOWARDS the fence. I shouted and he stopped - probably one inch away. He got out and told me in no uncertain terms that he knew what he was doing - he has mirrors, you know. I offered to help - if only to stand in the site in his line of vision. I got told I was no help at all unless I left. I agreed to leave, but told him that he would be contacted for damages if he took out the fence. (My first time, I think, really pissing off a camper!) Thank goodness he leaves tomorrow and we have no spaces open should he want to stay - and already others requesting to do so.

I'm back at camp - work tomorrow - cold, damp weather due in. And probably some rain in the next few days.

Off to bed with a book - so that I can drag myself out of bed in the morning :)

Thanks Melissa. The hard part us that there is a little protein in so many things. She cannot have regular cake or cookies (they have egg) or a thousand things. Even a lot of candy bars have milk or soy in the chocolate. Better than brain damage and mental retardation, however, so the diet is actually a miracle of sorts. Before the disease and cause was discovered in the 60s many of these kids were institutionalized. Luckily her dad and mom have done a great job managing her diet and she is bright and happy.

Hope your knee does well. Did you get a replacement?
