When I got home last night from work, my base board heat was making loud banging noises. Called the caretaker and he wasn't able to come by to fix it until today (probably air in the lines). The noise was right next to my bed and loud constant pounding! So I ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room. This morning the noise was almost gone, so I canceled the caretaker coming up, and went back to sleep until noon.
Decided I needed a "me" day, so I packed a lunch and drove out to the MN Landscape Arboretum to spend the afternoon in the woods. Well, two thousand other people had the same idea, since it was a beautiful sunny, 60 degree, fall day. There was a line of cars all the way out to the highway waiting to get in to the park, so I changed my plans. Just a mile down the road was a county park I have never been to, so I stopped there. It is a very nice park on a big lake with lots of trails thru the woods. And nobody there! Had the place to myself. Had a nice long walk, took lots of photos of yellow, orange and red leaves, and then sat by the lake watching a loon, ate lunch and did some reading. Very relaxing!
Then on the way home, stopped and did some retail therapy and bought a top and some other little things. Now am just relaxing with Lola. I will try to post some of the pics from my day on a separate thread.
