Wet Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

So sorry Sue. It is the hardest thing we have to do for our pets. They will all be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge. So just say "see you later" instead of "goodbye".

Aww, Sue. That is so sad even tho you knew it was coming. But never an easy decision, none the less. I Will be thinking of you and Tessa tomorrow morning and wishing her a peaceful transition and you a peaceful, albeit broken heart.

No sun here today either. Woke up to thunderstorms and heavy rains. I heard we got up to 3" or more! We really don't need any more rain, thank you! I am getting cabin fever in the summer now! It isn't hot yet but have my AC running anyways to take some of the humidity out of the air in here.
Sounds like California has their usual "June gloom" going on. Sorry for you gals down south baking to death down there. That is certainly no fun and I am glad we haven't had temps like that here yet.

Just had a very frustrating discovery. I brought my jeep in to the shop last night to get worked on today. I had gotten a credit card several months ago just for car repairs and emergencies. The bill came to almost $500, but now I cannot find the credit card. I know it is here in my apartment somewhere but I have looked high and low for it and cannot remember where I put it last. So I can't pick up my Jeep until I find the card or get a replacement card. I have my dad's car to use, but I really need to find that card so I can get my Jeep back. I could just kick myself for misplacing it!!

Time for dinner and then back to ransacking my apartment for that card

I wrote a long and heart-rending message to you and Tessa, Sue, and it went off into never-never land. I cannot repeat it. But know that I will be sending comforting thoughts your way tomorrow, and hug your other poochie tightly as she will miss Tessa very much, too. I will also be using my Kleenex all day. Just remember the happy times you both have shared as you spend your last night together, and hold her close.

I finished mowing more lawn today, just as the raindrops began falling again after an all-day reprieve with a bit of sunshine and NO rain! Some roads are flooded up here and closed, and the AuSable River is raging, as are all the streams and rivers. We really need some more days with no rain SOON! We also went shopping, Mandy, Bopper, his great Grandma Ann, and I, at Price Chopper for groceries. Then Mandy treated us to dinner at the Asian Buffet which just opened up in Saranac Lake. I saw tons of people I have known over the years, and it was fun being back to 'hometown friends'! All in all, a pretty fun day until now when I put my awning back up for the rain.

Happy Wednesday night to all.

Whew!! After ransacking my apartment twice more and about to give up, I finally found my credit card...right where I put it for safe keeping!  (must be getting CRS!)
Now I can get my Jeep back! And get a good nights sleep tonight!

Sue, I know how hard this is for you and Sassy. I will be thinking of you and Tess tomorrow. You have given her a good life and part of giving her a good life is making arrangements for her to go over the Rainbow Bridge so that she doesn't suffer. Hugs,

Oh, Sue, even though you've known for a long time that this day was coming, it does not make it easier. But you have done everything possible for her and you've made her life as wonderful as possible. Big hugs to you.
