Be-yew-tifol campgrownd, excellent facilities! A real shower is in order for me this morning. Sponge baths, well what can I say? So will be off to that after I finish my first cp of coffee--my second cp will be "MC IN PERSON" with Lori!

I'm up....I'm up!!! Just not awake, yet.....  Got my 1st cup of coffee going and rubbing the sleep from my eyes....but will get my body going soon cause Spinner's giving me that look... ;)

Yep, The Sultan and I will give the RV 101 lesson this morning...want to make sure Carol has it down pat before she hits the road again....

We had a nice supper and lots of good conversation last evening...the campfire didn't want to stay going, but as Carol said, we didn't really need it ....and yes, we talked like we've known each other forever....that feeling is the beauty of this forum....none of us are strangers.... :D A couple of photos were taken last night and will do a few more today....will get the posted later on.... ;)

Okay, got to get me going...so have a great day, all...

Good morning Carolb & all to come later,
Carol, so glad yew've met up with Lori, Ernie & Spinner. I can just imagine what a great time yew all had last night & will have in the days ahead. Especailly having your own private tutorials in RV101 8-) & meeting Irmi & others later on... :D This is what its all about!!! :D Taking yewr home on the road, seeing God's beautiful creation & being with good friends & family. (oh & leaving the cold & snow behind!  ) We truely are fortunate to be able to just pick up our houses, travel & then set down next door to people you know & love.
I'm heading down to work in a bit. Last weekend we worked on the network, this weekend we're upgrading our entire software system. I'm blessed to love my job or I'd be a mess! My role today - communications-central & bringing the food :D (I'd prefer to be doing the work, but that's ok, I'm more expendable in the future this way ;) )
Hope you all have a great day - traveling, working, resting, visiting... ENJOY!

Good morning Lori, Carol, and all who follow. Sounds like everyone is getting up and getting started. Lori, I know what you mean about that look from Spinner. I thought that after Gus retired from the road I'd be able to sleep in now but the truth is my body seems to think it needs to get up early still.

You know a lot of people just don't understand that even though I'm on the road alone, I'm not realy alone. I have all of you to rely on for help when I need it and even get to meet up in person some times. This forum is great for advice and for just airing frustrations. I also have made a lot of new friends through geocaching on the road. Last summer I found some caches near the park where I was workcamping. After I logged my find the owners of the cache came out to meet me. I will see them and as well as some other caching friends while I'm here in Hobe Sound. Kinda makes you wonder how this was done before the internet.

Good Morning, good morning,

I too finally rolled out of bed but haven't quiet got the sleep out of my eyes either. Already had breakfast, poached eggs, sausage and strawberries, caught up my banking accounts, got a load of wash going and am now on here reading the MC posts for this morning so far. Will be getting into my work duds before long and heading out the door to finish cutting up the rest of the limgs off the pine top that snapped in the storm last month as well as clean up what I can from under the big pine out front. Want to get this going as we've had some nice weather this week and snow has gone way down, but cold weather and snow on it's way in tonight. I have already cut up the limbs and branches from another tree and dropped that tree to the ground once the limb that was holding it up, came loose. The trees themselves will have to wait till I get somebody with a chain saw over here to tackle that. Anybody want free firewood, just bring your chainsaw and come see me

From reading yesterday's and today's MC posts, looks like everybody's either on the road or getting ready to. Carolb has made it to GA and is having fund with Lori and Ernie, even getting some RV101 lessons, how wonderful. Next stop is to visit Irmi and Steve and eventually to the GTG. All the talk of visiting forum sisters, being on the road, the fun of the travels and seeing the country, sure has me itching to do it too. But first I must get rig again, first must get some greet to get the rig and then get the time to actually use it. All will fall into place.

Judy, sounds like you are enjoying your travels and your stay in FL. And I know you are already planning the route back to MI. Hope you stop at Willliamsburg on your way north. That's on my list too. Maggie is heading to MI this summer I know, hopefully we can have a mini GTG while she is here. Red, you just slow down and don't try to do it all as far as getting ready for your trip. Like the others said, if you forget something, there are always stores and it's not a big deal to forget something. When I packed my TT for a trip, I just thought of what I use in my day to day life and didn't pack anything I thought "I might use" cause 9 out of 10 times I didn't miss it. Until we get a few trips under out belts, we tend to want to take the whole house along and then litle by little we start paring it down to what we just need and use. Aways that weight factor to program in too.

Barbie, sounds like your new job is going to be good for you. Hope you get that insurance money back from GC. You can use it and they don't need it if they didn't give you any insurance.

Well gang, the sun is up and I'm ready to roll out the door here. Have fun with RV101, Carol, Ernie and Lori. Everyone else have a wonderful day.

Good morning everyone. Yup, today is D day. House sitter (Birdie) arrived and got parked and all set up in the driveway. Had a nice dinner, then I sat down to watch TV and out like a light. I can relax a little bit. DH said depart by 1 pm. He is not a morning person. Had a lot of hiccups, to many, too long to explain. But everything got ironed out and I just have to get the food from the refrigerator in the house out to the rig. Then those last minute stuff and off we go. Probably wont make it very far, but that's not the point. We are headed in a general direction, exploring as we may. No reservations, except in Q. DH still is very nervous towing the 5ver, so we'll move along at his pace. I'll feel much better once we actually hit the raid!! Everyone have a good day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning all. Carolb so glad you made it to Lori's, you're traveling fast. I need their RV 101 lesson. I woke up this morning thinking how will I deal with flushing the pink stuff when I get to warm weather, maybe I should go through GA and stop at the L & S RV University :) Also running through my mind was, will my ceramic heater be enough for the first couple of nights when the temps will probably be 30's or 40's. I have no idea if my furnace works but there is also a heat strip on my A/C. Too much stuff to think about ACK I'll just do a Scarlett and think about it tomorrow :D I'm taking Elsie in today to have the fridge looked at and to see if they can figure out where the water that is dripping from behind the back right bumper could be coming from since all the tanks are empty :?

I had a good day yesterday, my washing machine does not have a leak, the wet spot I was seeing is condensation from a metal pipe, expensive to find the answer but not as expensive as a new stack washer/dryer. The unit is 15 years old but they said one of the best Maytag made and also one of the last good ones. The newer ones are actually Speed Queens with a Maytag label. The best news though was from the oral surgeon who said the place my dentist was concerned about between two of my bottom teeth had been there a very long time & nothing to be concerned about unless it suddenly became larger.

It's still warm but gloomy outside, supposed to suddenly drop into the twenties by tomorrow with sleet/snow boo hoo!!! These lovely warm days have spoiled me.

It sounds like everybody is having a great Saturday already! How wonderful to meet up on the road -- I feel excited just hearing about it. And the GTG is coming!

I'm also excited because there's been a little movement on closing the trust, so I can start looking for a tow vehicle, at least. I'll only run one vehicle, and I've needed to replace the beater I'm currently driving for a while now -- but I didn't want to take on debt when there would be some cash eventually. Having a van is going to change life a lot -- I can always throw some gear in the back and head out for a few weeks when I get restless. Wow!!!

good morning ladies
this freezing cold we're having is AWFUL! Think I heard on the news last night ..something about it being 20 years since we've had
freezing like this. During the evening news it was already below freezing and it wasn't even night yet. The talked about all the stuff
of covering your outside spigot, etc, etc. I actually turned on my electric mattress pad last night, dug out an extra blanket for who
ever wanted it and son let his worker come in from the laundry room to sleep in the dinningroom. I know that sounds funny, but to
explain....son has a handyman that does everything and son used to let him sleep in the livingroom on the floor but he started
"collecting" stuff. Not necessarily "hoarding" but when he fixed stuff he didn't throw the broken part away, he'd keep it. Anyway..
when son couldn't control that habit of his he made him sleep out in the laundry room which is the back porch room they built. So
thats where the handyman lives with his many buckets and coffee cans of broken "stuff"
Routine laundry and chores for saturday but staying in my room all weekend cause of my medicine and need to drink lots and lots
of water, hence staying close to the bathroom  :P which I didn't drink enough water yesterday being that I was at work
driving. :?
There is nothing else on my mind now, well, except getting my rv back in a park but thats still a few months away yet. but I can
still hardly wait and have put off driving out to check on it and take measurements cause it sends my anxiety and anxiousness
over the top. Will wait until its time to buy the tires.
Ok, ya'll have a great day and stay warm.

Good morning gals! We just got hit with the cold front moving across the country. Yesterday was in the 40's here and now only 13 and going down from there. It was snowing earlier and is very windy, so blowing the snow all over. Just read that it is only 38 in Palm Springs, CA right now and only 43 in San Diego! They don't even know how to deal with 50's out there, so they must really be freezing now! The houses there aren't insulated much either so can imagine they are cold inside too. Ava, I feel for you too! Hopefully the temps will get better for the Q GTG. The Florida GTG will be basking in warm sunshine (finally!) instead of the cold/snow they have gotten in years past.

Nothing new here. Hope you all have a good day and fun GTG's and safe travels! I can't wait to go to the RV Show in a few weeks!

Good morning everyone.

Carolb, glad you are right next door to Lori and Ernie. I know you are going to have a great time with them. I love RV 101's. I always learn something I didn't know.

Barbie, stay warm in that really cold weather.

Red, I am so excited for you finally getting on the road today! DH will relax more as he gets more miles under his belt. Have a great time on your westward trek and be sure and post pics.

The FL GTG is getting closer and closer. I am really excited about getting to know in person a lot of people who I feel are friends from the forum. I have yet to meet anyone in person that I did not feel like I already "knew". I have had a great time when I have gotten to know the ladies in person. Just made the friendships even better.

I am so excited. Just got my first Workamping job for April - October. Will be at Lake Murray SP in OK. Anyone in the area during those months, please feel free to drop in for a mini GTG. I would love to see ya. Hoping I can find a position in the Valley or on the Gulf for the Winter season. It gets plenty cold in OK so will be wanting to move south away from snow and ice, I imagine.

Going to be going to a Genealogy meeting with youngest DB and SIL today. She is doing the presentation. I cannot wait to hear her. Need to get my rear in gear and get my home ship shape before they get here. We were gone all day long yesterday and nothing got done. The day before, I was just plain lazy. Needless to say, I have things that need to be picked up before anyone drops in today.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning everyone... I got home from MO last evening... it was wonderful at CEF... I did my best and opened many many pieces of mail... we along with many others got everything caught up there... what a great atmosphere it is there... most are missionaries that have to raise their own support... the setting is a bit out in the country... their food is very good... I hope to have enough strength to go another time... there is a place for rv's so Shadow could go and I would have my own bed!!

I am going to see how my grandson Tim's house looks with some furniture in it...

Have read some and will catch up on more later... have a great day everyone...

Barbie, she is doing great. She really likes it. She really likes this town and the surrounding area. The people who run this CG are very nice and friendly. I have just been out helping Larry, one of the owners figure out what he needs for his MH now that he has Mom's Jeep. Went over the Invisbrake with him to let him know what he will need to get installed in his MH to hook up to the Jeep, which has that braking system. He wanted to know if I wanted to sell the hitch and cables I kept to use on whatever tow vehicle I end up getting. Told him, No. When I get a new toad, will only have to get the base plate and breaking system installed since I am keeping everything that is attached to the MH.

I had not complained about all the mud and water in front of my door and steps into the rig. They cannot control the rain. Larry watched me kind of wade through it today and is going to send one of the guys over to put boards down for me. Yay! The dogs won't even walk on the grass there. They walk on the gravel until they get in front of the rig trying to keep their feet dry. That's OK with me since that is that much less mud coming into the rig.

Dawn, I have a cousin in Ardmore so I will have 2 reasons to visit Ok. :)

It was very foggy this morning but almost looks like the sun wants to come out. Haven't seen it in a while. It is so messy and damp here. All the cement is wet and the old carport is like a skating rink. I hope the freezing weather doesn't make it here. I was doing a lot of whining when it was 40.

BJ, your heat strip should keep your rig warm enough since it's small. My heat strip is usually all the heat I need. If it is really cold I sometimes hang a blanket behind the cab to cut down on the draft from the windows.
