Happy Easter!!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Easter!!!

Postby bikerchic777 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 7:48 am

Happy Easter everyone! The sun is shining over the blooming crab apple trees I can see from my windows. Looks like it will be another glorious day the Lord hath made!!! I think I heard my SIL and nephew leaving about an hour ago for MI. We said our goodbyes last night. I'm sure my brother, niece, DH, and I will all go to their Church this morning for Easter service. I boiled some eggs yesterday for my niece and I to dye, but we never got around to it last night. Maybe today. She is a Junior in HS so must not be a big deal to her anymore :( I went to bed with visions of the dog attack going through my head and woke up the same. Things don't usually affect me that badly, but it was a traumatic experience  I think maybe I will feel better after talking to animal control tomorrow. I think more than anything, I am disturbed that people have vicious dogs to begin with, and then they aren't responsible or smart enough to keep them under control. My back is a bit sore from all of the tugging and dodging. I should make that chick pay for massage therapy sessions :D I just hope Rags' ear doesn't get infected. Besides Church, not sure what is on the agenda. I'm thinking we're winging it. Maybe kayaking. I think the grout on the tile my brother replaced is still wet, though I'm afraid to touch it. One of the dogs ran in here when the door was open yesterday and stepped in it so he already had to fix it. It looks so good! He took out another piece and redid it around the furnace register so it looks better than from the factory! I tell you, he is a GREAT tile man :!: He does work in big fancy homes. The people sometimes hire him to do a room and end up having him do more and more tile in their home. You can tell he takes pride in his work. We didn't plug into their house this time. Decided to boondock since we got so good at it in Key West ;) Only difference is that now I'm learning to use the inverter for little things, like recharging my phone and using the computer. It's great! In hindsight, we could have probably used it to run my other brother's c-pap machine at night when he was visiting us in the Keys. We just made him go without and he said he was tired during the day from it. We weren't used to having an inverter so didn't even think of it. Live and learn! I want to go for a walk with the boys, but am afraid! I wonder if this is how PTSD feels?

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!

I am sitting on my daughter's back porch, facing her two ponds, surrounded by tons of robins, chickadees, phoebes, geese flying over, red foxes scurrying through the dead leaves on the forest floor, and the sound of water trickling down the little brook that feeds the two ponds. What a wonderful Easter morning!

Molly is tied out, exploring the surroundings, and Mandy's two huge dogs are chasing each other all over! After a day of being 88 degrees here yesterday, this morning is a cool 56 degrees, with a fairly stiff breeze. While we were sitting around a campfire last night, a horrendous wind came up, and we had to douse the fire with the hose to prevent it from getting out of controll, or spreading sparks to the surrounding dry brushy stuff. Chairs and everything not sheltered began blowing all over the yard------I guess the winds off the St. Lawrence are often like this, particularly when a front comes through as it did last night! The house shook for a couple of hours with those howling winds, and then finally tamed down. There's a 30+ degree change in the temps this morning, so I guess that's what caused those winds.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today, but the sky is clear, the sun is coming up and the waning moon is setting.

I'm heading inside to make me some toast, cream cheese, and bacon! Later we are having a ham dinner with green beans and potatoes!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good Morning everyone.

Just intending to have a lazy, relaxed day today. I might get in touch with a friend here and see if visiting is in order, or not :) Would borrow Jean's truck to do that - and that's saying that he's available. Or I might do like yesterday and just enjoy the trails around this wonderful cg. The really good thing about Alabama is that it has marvelous springtimes - all the trees are in bloom or about to bloom - neat flowers popping up everywhere. It was my first spring a few years ago in Alabama that made me realize why most people like spring. I never did up north - right now it would just be snowy or muddy - and dreary. No blooms yet, probably not for another month or even longer. Then I spent my first winter in my rv here in Alabama (and the next one also) and discovered the reason to love spring. So, it is a good place to be right now.

Have a great day all - where ever you are and whatever you're doing.

Good Morning !

Beth, I remember spring in Alabama, loved the weather there. Enjoy!

Bikerchic, sorry about your experience yesterday...

Soos, I'm glad you went to Mandy's... sounds like you are having a nice visit. And you got your first campfire of the season? Way to go!

Plan here is take a picnic out on the land somewhere,... perhaps one of our campgrounds that we enjoy. Campgrounds aren't open for camping here yet but gates are open for walking, picnicing, x-country skiing, etc. A gentle breeze blowing here, and bright sunshine. A grand day. As I'm not a religious person I use this day to connect with nature somewhere.

so we have chicken, potato salad, peeps and jelly beans..... what more does one need for an easter sunday picnic?

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning from the gulf coast. No Easter morning sunrise pic today...too foggy, but expect another beautiful and relaxing day to appreciate...all the more because He lives.

Posted pics from yesterday in the GTG thread...we did have a gorgeous sunset last night.

Oh, Linda....what a scary experience with the pit bull. They need a six foot fence at least for them. Glad you reported the attack.

Looks like everyone is set to enjoy a nice day today. Sprinter has to leave our gtg today...she has to work tomorrow. The rest of us will stay on awhile longer.

Good morning and Happy Easter!
been up for awhile, finished the pink baby afghan this morning. Tried to finish it
yesterday but everytime I sat down to crochet the little dogs wanted up in my lap.
So I fooled them this morning and finished it up while they were still sleeping :D
Doing nothing special today, catching a little church on tv but for the most part
it will be a normal day with normal routine chores. Never got the wash machine
going yesterday so I suppose I'll be forced to do that today so I will have clean
uniform shirts for the week.
Enjoy your day what ever you do and be safe.

Interesting weather this morning. Jess and I were out early, sun peeking through the clouds, birds cheerfully chirping, then wind and snow. That cleared out and it's sunny again, but I see more weather coming in. This is a beautiful campground and I'll post pics soon. I'd love to live here.

Coffee and pancakes for breakfast. Come on over, I have extra. Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!

Glad to hear everyone's having a good Easter morning! Sunny here with birds chirping too! Need to find a restaurant for my dad and I to go to today that doesn't have a buffet (he doesn't like those) for our afternoon/evening Easter dinner. Otherwise, just typical Sunday stuff for me; laundry, house cleaning, etc.
Buster is still limping around but he seems happy and playful anyways, so not in too much distress. I will keep an eye on him for the next couple days to see if he improves at all, otherwise we will be off to the vet (with my dad's credit card!).

I hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing and where ever you are!

Sounds like chore day for most of you. I might do a load of laundry, too, while I can use my brother and SIL's washer and dryer. I didn't think anyone was going to Church today, so I didn't have time to get ready by the time I found out they were going. I took a long shower and am enjoying my alone time. Reclining in my brother's chair and looking out the open slider at the back yard and enjoying the fresh air and sound of jazz music on the radio and birds singing outside. I think I needed this to get over my PTSD from yesterday's events. I think we're going to Old Chicago for Easter dinner. I have missed their pizza so it sounds better than ham right now! I will have to check out your photos, Liz, from the TX GTG. The weather there doesn't sound the best, but at least you have good company ;) Barbie...do you think your dad would adopt me? I think you need a sister!

I am having a hard time finding a restaurant that doesn't have a buffet today. May end up at McD's! I miss having a traditional ham dinner with scalloped potatoes, etc.
Linda, you really don't want to be in this family! If you like positive people, you won't like my family. They are all very cynical, critical, judgemental and negative. That is why I want to get away from them. They can really drag me down! I need to be around more positive people! You can be my sister without being adopted! Always wanted a sister! Now I have lots of 'sistahs' here! We will have to try to get together this summer. We seem to have a lot in common to talk about! Too bad you didn't get a chance to meet Cathy in Crystal River. You two would have gotten along great too!

Now back to looking for a restaurant for dinner!

Good morning and Happy Easter to everyone!

It is cold, windy but not raining this morning here in the PNW. Hopefully that means a good day for the carnival.

Got up this morning and read scripture together with Ron. Our pastor sends me the weekly service plan so we just followed that. It feels good to know we are sharing the same scriptures as our church family. Today is better than last Sunday as I was really homesick and missing our church family. I think it is answered prayer and am thankful for that.

Today I am making a chicken, broccoli and creamy noodle casserole (forgot to buy a ham last Tuesday when I was at the store) and we will eat before we go to work at 1:00. Yesterday we only worked 5 1/2 hours due to heavy rains. Only had about 50 customers all day yesterday ~ hopefully today will be better.

We will be here for one more week here in Lacey and then we go to Puyallup for a week for the Spring Fair. Have been told by everyone this week and next will be pretty slow and then when we move to Wenatchee on 4/19 business will really pick up then. I hope so as Ron and I could really use some hours. I hate being behind on our bills and will be glad when we start getting regular paychecks and can get caught up on things.

I do have a prayer requests ~ Ron is still owed some money from three customers and it would be so nice if that money would come in. One is a $900 check from one customer. I know God will provide but sometimes trusting is hard. Can't hurt to ask for prayer.

That's all from this neck of the woods or should I say parking lot  Hope everyone has a great day!

Also I have updated my blog and posted some pictures of where we are here in Lacey and answered some questions. Check out the posts.

We are having a beautiful spring day here in Southern Illinois. All the spring flowers have bloomed at once and leaves are out on most trees. It seems to have happen overnight, and way too soon, even an azalea bush next door is blooming. I don't remember seeing so many flowers in bloom so early. I hope we don't get a hard freeze as our fruit trees have lots of blossoms. I was wondering how they would do as some did have some damage in the terrible storm that we had last May.
We're going to a lovely lodge for Easter dinner today, it should be a beautiful drive.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

And Happy Easter to all of you. Hoping your day is bright, sunny, warm and glorious for those of you who are celebrating. I don't miss the Bunny stuff, the baskets of candy and the dying of eggs. And I sure don't miss hours of cooking up a huge dinner that ends up getting inhaled in less than an hour. And then to only turn around and do endless dishes. Do miss the left overs tho!!

The heat here keeps building and building! Whew it gets hotter than Hades here!!! And to think? This is only the beginning of the 'warm' season. We are looking forward to leaving on the 9th to go north to get into some cooler weather. And away from the dust and dirt that covers everything. And OMG but we will be glad to be away from these biting red ants!!! Nasty rotten things. OUCH!

Nothing exciting going on around here. Gonna go do the nasty chore of laundry later, refill water jugs and pick up some ice. Will probably have hamburgers tonight for supper. Have got ham hocks, turkey ham and lentils? If I had thought of it earlier I guess I could have put that in the crockpot. Then we could say we had ham for Easter!

Ok, gonna go read and do a little catching up. Hope you all stay safe and don't get any belly aches today!

Love to all

See I've missed some Birthdays and new Sistahs joining in! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YA'LL and WELCOME to the Nut Ward to the new ones!! ;)

Happy Easter everyone!
I'm late getting on here. I slept in this morning and missed the first church service. If I don't go early it is way too crowded! I could have went last night but I was still re-couping from my colonoscopy (sore bottom).
What I did do was to drive up to my DDs and stay with my two GDs as my DD had to work and my SIL wanted to go play poker. HE was suppose to see that the girls got to Sunday School but he's not a church going man so that didn't happen. While he was gone we played with rehiding their Easter eggs all over the house to find, then Super Mario on the Wii. My 10 yr old GD made me lunch of a salmon sandwich on a bagel. It was quite tasty. As the weather is super windy and rain was forecasted for this afternoon I didn't stay until my DD got home from work, but got home just as the clouds opened up around 4PM.
Wishing everyone a restful evening and see ya tomorrow, God willin'!
