Monday Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday Monday

Postby Redetotry » Mon Sep 21, 2009 8:58 am

That's all of the words to the song that I remember but I like the tune. It's another foggy morning and if the weather prediction the 'old timers' associate with foggy Sept. mornings is true, that for each foggy morning in Sept. means a heavy winter snow, we're in for a bad winter cause it's been foggy a lot!
I've made one egg tomato and cheese omeletts & plain toast for breakfast and of course good strong coffee and milk for you non coffee drinkers.
I went to a festival in New Harmony,Indianna over the weekend and had a great time driving around in a rented golf cart all afternoon. Tons of good street vendors with food and desserts. One guy had a long continuous line for his home made ice cream. New Harmony has an abundance of beautiful old homes which we enjoyed seeing as we drove around the town. Very interesting history in that the early settlers focused on creating a utopian community. Here is a link that tells about it. http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/kade/newharmony/home.html We stayed at the Inn in the picture. I now want a golf cart of course!
Enjoy your day.

pssst thanks Mitch!

psssst...no link.

But glad you had a fun time!
We're having the same cruddy weather down here in NW TN!
Hope it goes away soon.

While out camping this past week, the rain and a crab did us in. Dang! Home four nights early.

Morning! Happy Monday everyone!
Mitch, sorry your campout got cut short. Bummer for sure!
Today I'll pick up a prescription, get dog food, send off a pkg to my military son and then stop by the RV repair shop and ask about my thermostat problem in Little Missy. I'll assume they will have to have me bring her in so fingers crossed that it's a easy fix (famous last words, right?). :x
The next two days are suppose to be in the 90s!! Crazy weather as it's barely been in the 70s the past few weeks. Seems 2009 is the year for breaking temp/rain/no rain/snow records. Hope it doesn't mean it will continue and we'll get more of the same!
My military son should be home around Christmas so I'm tenatively making plans to be in CA then. He and my DIL want a few days to themselves so I'll stay with GD, then we'll do Christmas together. It's been over 10 yrs since I've spent a Christmas with them!
Wishing everyone a great day!

Good Morning All from hot and dry Las Vegas. Interesting experience last nite. Cruised The Strip where it was 95 degrees at 10:30 - by the time we were a couple of blocks off The Strip it was only 86 degrees. All the lights, cars and people really make a difference.
Went to see the TI (Treasure Island) outside show - what a mistake - it was AWFUL the old one was so much better.
Were planning on leaving today but have put it off until tomorrow. No real reason just cause we could.
Looked up the weather at home Scattered Thunderstorms, Isolated Thunderstorms, Scattered Thunderstorms, Isolated Thunderstorms, Showers - pretty well takes up the next week. Where was the rain when the Little Nashville Opry was burning the other night.

Can't trust that day,, (the next line in the song, ha)

It;s still too warm down here in texas.. so I'm not so blue in wanting to hit the road.. but wait till it cools off! The fall just gets my juices flowing,,oh yeah! Seems that all the important things in my life happened to me in the fall. School,, getting engaged (nov.), all that stuff! Fall traveling has got to be the BEST,, don't you gals agree? I am living for the time when I can go see the fall foliage in the east! I've followed the colors all the way down from Alaska in '07 and that was fun. So, on my bucket list, is the eastern US.

What about ya'll?

Later taters!

Janet :D

I'll answer for her - Vickie has a disease, a very, very serious disease and I'm not sure there's a cure. It's Smileyitis. She is an addict and desperately needs a 12-Step Program...

But she won't go. She'll drown in her addiction eventually...deep and heavy sigh...

When you get to NY don't forget to give a holler and stop by. Free parking in my back yard! :D

Janet, just so you don't get the wrong idea about all this, here are some depictions of me and Vickie...

Now you won't get us confused.
And Cedar would never put me in her front yard.
Unlike Vickie, she's much too sweet.

Hello Sistahs from Kaibab Lodge in AZ.

Yep I'm alive and kicking here! It's getting down closer to the end of the season here which is October 31st. Here so close to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon it's getting cooler and cooler at night. More than a few mornings I've went out at 5:30am with Shade to find frost all over the Blazer. The small thermometer on the 'house' has read low 40's, high 30's and from my view, it has even read 32F a few times. BRRRRRRRR I go out in my sweats, jacket and a thin wool blanket, sit and drink my coffee while Shade does her business. She looks and looks for the Chipmunks. I keep telling her that they aren't out that early, she just doesn't listen. I know that while Kelly and I are working that they come knock on the sliding glass door to harass and tease her.   When I let her out when I get home she goes flying out to the neighbors and under their MH cause she sees those evil striped things go there. ;)

The Aspen leaves are turning bright yellow with the colder, frosty temps. They are pretty but no match for the oranges, golds, reds, bronzes and lime greens of the Oaks, Maples all the others. So much of this area is beautiful but I do miss the Fall colors and the smells of the East. Not to even mention the trees that look like they're fluorescent, so bright they almost hurt the eye. ~sigh~

After reading about all the GTG's I know that Kelly and I really need to hit the jackpot for Power Ball!!! Buy our rig and travel to join in on ALL the GTG's to see everyone! ;) Dream on Echo, dream on ~sigh~!!!! Then I can enjoy seeing everyone, see the east during the fall and then of course hit the deep south for winter! hehehe Hey, what the heck! If I'm gonna dream I might as well dream big. ;)

Well it's time to sign off and head for the house. Need to let Shade out and get some supper. Leftovers tonight but need a can of Cream of Mushroom soup to add to the leftovers and make them stretch a little more for us tonight. YUM!!! Chicken and mushroom soup as a gravy base out of the crockpot and rice. My mouth watered last eve when I walk into the house and it's doing it again just thinking about it. Oh, oh, oh, I can't stand it. LOL

Love to all

(what ya think about me posting 2 nights in a row? )
