Nothing special going on at my house this weekend. Just continuing with my chores. I didnt get alot done yesterday as I ran out of motivation LOL some days I am very motivated and others not as much. We shall see what happens today LOL

A flyover is scheduled for tomorrow from Kingsley field in Klamath Falls over several Veterans cemetaries here in southern Oregon and over at the coast.. Last time they flew right over my house and rattled my windows and were gone before I could go out and get a good look so this year I will be ready. We are scheduled for 11:40 am so will definitely be outside. I love seeing those big jets participate in honoring our fallen military. Very moving and I know it means alot to the families.

I have some leftover stir fry vegetables to cook up for lunch again today. Made a hamburger, mushroom, cheese and rice casserole yesterday and got it put up in the freezer for the do ahead quickie meals. Kept a serving out for dinner. Will add a salad and I am good. Will wait until this week to get my propane for my BBQ as I am anxious to try it out.
This is a pic of the new BBQ a couple of you asked for LOL

Karen, #2 daughter uses her grill a lot. I had a small one and lobed ships kabob. Had a basket to hold veggies, chicken, pineapple, mushrooms, oh mu. Lol wasn’t as pretty as on a skewer but less prep. Asparagus tossed in olive oil and garlic on the grill yum. Amazon shopping from the recliner required

Good morning, it is another perfect weather day here but weather forecast is saying it will soon change. I haven't done much this morning except brush and comb Pippa and trim her nails and that is enough for awhile. I've cut her down a lot but the texture of her hair is baby fine and tangles easily so I pretty much work on her every day.
Some crazy person set three fires in a nearby town. A small church that had been there for at least 75 years burned to the ground. They caught the person before he could get to the other church he had targeted. What is wrong with people!?!?
We have nothing planned for the weekend and I should be thinking about either cooking or deciding what to order. Karen your new BBQ grill looks great. Shirl your day with your friend sounds like a good idea. I wouldn't like facing a lot of traffic especially this weekend.

Good Morning from the 45th. If there is such a thing as a perfect day, we’ve got it. 76° or 39% humidity, clear skies and nice gentle breeze. Couldn’t ask for better.

Karen, I hear you on the motivation. Same here. Some days I really get moving like yesterday, and then sometimes I start out and a little later I decide I don’t want to do it. Right now though, I need to keep motivation moving as I have flowers to plant for myself and want to get them done. They have been in their growing containers to the point the roots are growing out of them. So as soon as hot dogs are ready, will east and get busy. That is one big BBQ grill. You are going to become a barbecue chef, LOL

I did get the POA stuff done yesterday, so I’m finished with that for a while. Until we get some rain, I’m not mowing grass out there anymore because it’s starting to burn up. Did it yesterday and looks good for now. The flower bed looks really cute and I will be posting some pictures later on today. Waiting until I get my flowers planted so that I can take a picture of my planner project that I did and post the whole works at once.

Carol, I’m going to go and have an early lunch and get busy. Will be back later. Have a great day.

Good morning!

Up at 5 and already had a nap! Couldn't very well start up the portable pressure washer too early. Too bad I didn't think to charge it so now waiting. Yesterday I ended up sleeping in my chair most of the day. There were several children going past my open slider playing and didn't bother me in the least - I just slept. :D Had one phone conversation in the middle of it. I was so frustrated with the old manager not doing the walk thru and now I'll have to go back.

I hear you all about motivation! Ancestry.com had a special this morning so I resubscribed - something to do in the evenings and to use my brain.

Karen, nice grill! BJ, people are just a mess these days! I hate reading the news in the morning. We've got a fire in East Wenatchee - 250 acres last I saw - grass and sage brush. Someone said lightening but now read it's under investigation. Enjoy your visit, Shirl!

Hi ladies!

Shirl, I don't miss the traffic on the eastern shore of MD but we have our share of traffic here, too. But we're not land locked like we were in MD. I know your crab soup is going to be awesome.

Karen, that is such a nice grill you got. Steve uses his Big Green Egg quite often and it's fun sitting outside watching him do his thing.

BJ, there are such stupid people in the world, and to burn down churches? Good grief.

Sue, I can't wait to see the pictures of the entrance to your development. Those folks must love you!

Anita, I saw a Slingshot on our way home from church today with the same colors as yours. Needless to say, I always think of you when I see one.

Pat, it was good seeing you here. I hope your sister recovers enough to be on her own again. I enjoy my quiet time, too.

Sheila, that is so kind of you to put all those flowers on the graves.

Beth, I'm looking forward to the rest of your trips this year. It won't be long before you'll be back on the road again.

Velda, how are you feeling?

We're having a beautiful Memorial weekend in central FL. The temps are in the mid 80's with low humidity and gentle breezes. The town we reside in, although we are not in the town proper, is small, with nothing going on for the Memorial weekend. Tuesday we have friends visiting and Thursday I have a follow up appointment with my pcp. Then I think we're done with appointments for a while.

Slept in again. Got to get my schedule adjusted since I am headed east next week. The problem is mostly that I need to get to bed earlier and set my alarm for morning. Anyway, made some banana nut bread and did the dishes from last night. Try to do dishes only once a day to save water.

Can't go anywhere today, so I am going to take trash out and go for a walk. Then hope I have enough energy to scrub out my utility cabinet. That cabinet stores my electric cable, the end is fastened permanently on one end. It also is where I hook up my sewer hose and store it when it is not being used. I also store my sewer hose in there, as well as the two old slinkies, which have been broken into about 6 pieces. There are two holes in the bottom of the cabinet--one is about 3" in diameter and the electric cable is supposed to go through it, but the end is too large. The other hole is about 6" in diameter and is where the sewer hose goes through, but it no longer has a cover. (I really need to order one from Fleetwood.) The result is that road dirt gets into the cabinet, so I need to pull everything out and scrub it and then flush dirt away.

Got to get moving or i will end up going back to sleep!!!! Maybe I should do the cleaning first since that is the task that I tend to put off the most.

Sure wish I had some of that crab soup for dinner!!

I made it to the dinner today an hour early. I never can judge how long it's going to take me to get somewhere. The restaurant was at a truck stop. It was part of a truck stop casino. They had a buffet for lunch that was good and not expensive. I went by Jo Ann Fabric to get a zipper and some needles. That is where I got the panel for the cat pillow. It's made by Square By Design. I tried to find a web site for it but it kept coming up for Jo Ann Fabric. They don't have as many panels as I remember seeing 6 years ago. Today all they had was a dog, cowboy boots, bicycle, motorcycle and a pineapple.

BJ, a young guy burned 3 black churches in a town North of here several years ago. He was trying to look big for some gang he wanted to be a part of. He's going to jail for 25years for that stupidity and I think his dad was a deputy with the sheriffs department.

Shirl, I love corn and crab bisque. I was looking in the freezer for some but it's all gone so had to settle for gumbo. When I get the freezer down some I'll have to make a batch.

I went fishing at the pond for a little while. The fish were almost not bitting. I caught one small perch. I had never seen ducks at the pond but 2 flew over and landed by the pond. They didn't go in the water, just sat there for a long time. I don't know one duck from another so should try to look them up online.

I'm running later than normal tonight ... my grandson stopped by so I could give him his afghan... he was pleased with it ... am happy he was
my dad and sister died in 1973 so we have been going over to the cemetery every since I would even bring flowers from SLC because they would be cheaper those 4 graves have grown to 10 and there are many more that we could put flowers on but I do like to leave lovely fresh flowers... they turned out really pretty... my sister in law is buried in another cemetery in WY they have deer that stop by often I keep thinking I am going to make a wreath for her and hopefully they won't eat it... but haven't done it one of the flowers I got was some type of iris Japanese I think is the name of it... it's a very long tradition.... afterwards we go over to a park or if too cold back to mom's for a picnic and visit we had rain when we left and then it sprinkled when we left the cemetery but not while we were doing the flowers nor while eating prayers were answered
I am tired going to go to my room and read scriptures but not as much as I normally do
it's too bad you have to go back to your old apartment anita I am surprised that they operate that way...
you all have a great day

Getting on here late tonight. I was falling asleep on the couch around 9:30 so I got up and got ready for bed. Now I am awake!

Judy, I had a small leak in my radiator awhile back and bough a small bottle of Stopleak. I put half of it in and the leak got smaller. Then put the rest of it in a few days later and no more leak! You might want to try that before you pay the dealer $$$ to fix it.

BJ, I say "what is wrong with people?!" all the time! I feel like everyone is losing their minds and going nuts! :o

I watched church this morning. Our old retired minister was there today doing a talk. He is always great to listen to! He comes back 2 or 3 times a year to do the service.

Later I went to the Memorial Day BBQ that my friends Debbie and Dave put on each year. It was very good as usual and I got a couple of haircuts scheduled from there.

Was super windy earlier so I opened up my bedroom window, but then the wind died. So the AC is back on.

Tomorrow I have some things that need to get done before Tuesday. I need to read up on what I need to do for Jury Duty starting Tuesday morning. Also finish the live scan stuff on line. I wasn't able to fix the texting issue with my phone so I ordered a new phone and should get that in a couple days. I got a better monthly rate too, of only $30/mo and that includes unlimited text/calling and a hotspot with 5G. The phone has a really good camera with lots of features, has 4 times as much memory as my current phone, and it was on sale.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, what kind of phone did you get? I am tentatively in the market for a new phone. I have only had my current phone about 18 months, and hate it - and have hated it for a while. Every time there is a mandatory software update, one of the apps stops working. The last time this happened the camera stopped working and it took about 2 hours on tech support to get it fixed.

Grrrrr!!
