Wednesday longer days ahead

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday longer days ahead

Gmorning all :)

Cmas Eve eve, everyone ready for the big day? Sounds like it...

Anta, crikey! You just don't get a break from all the things "breaking" down around you! I like your attitude tho, you just keep your cool thru it all:) Sarah, weathering such nasty weather, along with those in the Midwest suffering thru dreary gray days :( Don't think there's a white Cmas anywhere in sight!

For FL, record highs predicted. Not a bad place to be;) I'm really looking forward to heading to Donna's tmrw. Maybe the Diva needs to see her Aunt Carol!

Last day of work here at sis's, then will take the evening to have quiet time with pups. So better get busy now. Y'all have a great day!

Good Morning all from balmy Southern Illinois. It was 65 degrees at 6AM when I went out for the paper.  While I'm glad we aren't having record cold weather this is just too strange. My friend is coming by with Christmas cookies this morning :) :) I'm so glad she likes to bake, especially cookies, if I bake it is usually a small cake or crisp of some type.

Carolb, enjoy your visit with Donna and the Diva! Happy Christmas Eve Eve to all.

Good Morning,

Liz posted this morning that she is quickly heading west due to weather - got me to look at the long range forecast through New Mexico and Eastern AZ. I pick up a new inflator for the trailer today and having a Canon scanner delivered. Loading up and getting out of here tomorrow barring any more bumps in the road! I hadn't planned to leave until January 2.

Everyone have a great day - fun reading of Christmas preparations!!

Good Morning.
Looks like we are in for a rough 24 hours. TORCON up to 7 over a relatively large area that includes Mitch, Wendy and me. As soon as I finish coffee will head for grocery store then home to hunker down. Grocery store is going to be a mad house between the holiday shoppers and bad weather forecast. No chance of seeing that full moon for Christmas. Stay safe.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Got a chance to meet Ava/Alice yesterday. Had a great visit and feel like she's been a long time friend! Of course we went out for lunch. What's a gtg with out food! Every rv gal I've meet has been great
Those facing bad weather please stay safe and know we're thinking of you.

Merry Christmas Chris and everyone. Have fun on your travels. I would sure like to go to Quartzite but not this time.

I decided to go get our ham yesterday. It was very gray and foggy when I left but not raining. On my way back it was storming. There was no way I was getting out in that to grocery shop so I still need to go to the grocery store. Our rain gauge only had a little over an inch but it was still raining and thundering at 1:30 this morning. It's very windy and we have a 50% chance of rain. I sure hope it doesn't rain any more. It's 78 now and we could have record setting highs this week. Crazy weather. If anyone wants a white Christmas I could send you pictures of my brother's yard. He's in Canada. It's a good thing some people like snow or everyone would be in the South.

I usually make cookies and candy for Christmas and have not made anything. I don't know if I will get the spirit to bake this year. Every night I am looking for something sweet so know I would be eating Christmas cookies if there were any around. There was a company that use to sell packages of small, decorated cookies this time of year. I think they went out of business. I think about them every year. I worked with a lady that would say she could see biscuits walking when she was on a diet. I think I can see cookies walking.

Still morning out here in California. I got a really good night's sleep, which made me feel a lot better. I was really tired yesterday and wonder if I am still Vitamin D deficient. Took huge doses last summer and am now on 2,000 units per day, but I was told by my doctor that sometimes people just do not retain enough D.

I have to run out and buy a new pair of slacks because I have gained 6 pounds and only have two pair that fit. Need to lose, but in meantime need to have something to wear! Going to get grandkids and then make cookies and frost them. They are going to stay overnight while parents go out to dinner. Ages 8 and 10 are perfect for cookie making. Obviously, I am not going to vacuum or damp mop until after they leave!!! Got to remember to take pictures of cookie making.

Hope you all are well and have a good day. Sun is out today, so even though it is cold, it feels nice. We have had three days of steady rain, which is good for the drought.

Hello everyone well it seems like every time I think I am going to be a regular coffee drinker I get busy and do not get to pop in a drink with all of you. No traveling here just busy. I do have a question that I posted in the maintenance board but thought I would ask here too. See below. Hope everyone is doing great and Merry Christmas to all.

Disregard below I figured it out after asking on Facebook Women who Rv page

I have a maintenance /generator /electrical question. I keep my rv plugged in. When I come out to do the monthly generator excercise. I unlug it . When I attempt to run things inside the only thing that will work is some of the overhead lights. I have a small fan or a small heater that I want to turn on so that it also helps excercise the generator. Am I doing something wrong ?Why will other things not turn on?I Note if I switch the battery disconnect the lights turn off . So what am I doing wtong.
Don't worry if plan A fails there are 25 more letters in the alphabet.

For those who say there'll be no snow for Christmas, come visit me lol At least I'll have it Christmas Eve. Three of us are planning on going out to dinner tomorrow... It will all depend on that snow.

I tried to give notice today (yes, I'm leaving!) but my boss didn't come in. I'm off tomorrow but will go down and try again, although I doubt ill catch up with her). I'll be leaving here New Year's Day and heading to southeastern Arizona where I'll work at a ranch till mid-to-late March. First time I'm leaving a job early, but there are many reasons. I'm sorry that I'll be giving notice at the holidays, but it is what it is.

Beth, I'm sorry that things haven't worked out for you, but frankly, I'm not surprised. That campground has a reputation that isn't positive, at least from a camper's standpoint, and I had to think when you said that you were going to work there that it wouldn't be very positive either.

When you head south, if you're in my neck of the woods let me know. It would be fun to have dinner with you. And if you need an overnight place you're always welcome at Casa Maydahl. :)

I wish I could stop, but I'm heading for another job and won't be close enough. The job itself I could deal with, except I'm not getting enough hours. The cg could be wonderful; it's the kind of place I can like quite a bit. But they don't maintain things. Or manage properly. I read the reviews, too, but, never expected the bad management to be this bad. However, if I was getting the hours I was supposed to get and if the heat got fixed in the area I work, I probably would have stuck it out. I didn't have to deal with most of the negatives. However, I got really tired of being so cold that I am in, sometimes, 4 layers while working. I'll hazard a guess this furnace won't be fixed this year.

Beth: I'm going to be at Kartchner Caverns in Benson from 12/27 and leaving Jan, 1. It's between Tucson and Tombstone. Will you be coming anywhere near there on your route. I don't have any plans from Jan.1 until I have to head go Lake Havasu for the Balloon Festival around Jan. 13. Any chance we may cross paths since I can go just about anywhere since I have no plans? I'm a great ranch hand and have had lots of horse experience plus multiple other ranch type critters. Willing to help you out.

Sandi, I'm leaving here on Jan 1. The ranch is 20 miles from Benson, but I'm not arriving until about Jan 7 or 8. We'll have to keep in contact, because I'm sure we can meet somewhere!

I'm not a horse person. I'll be watching though.
