Got the Community coffee in the pot and coffee mate vanilla caramel in the fridge. I am wondering how many use a regular coffee pot on your trips or did you get one of those K cups to waste less water. The grey tank is too small so I am trying to conserve space so I wont have to dump before our last day camping.

Sorry I have been gone, but looking to catch up, what is the latest scoop on everyone?

Bonnie, it's good to see you posting again! We use a regular coffee maker, just like the one we have in the house. Carolb, you're going to have such a nice garden again this year. Sarah, I love you new hair cut!

I'm off to see the mechanic in a few minutes to show him where another fuse panel is, with hopes of getting the backup lights working. Then I'll be off for a workout and probably to the hospital to see my Dad, who has pneumonia. Have a good day everyone!

Carol, that would have been a better alternative, I don't like instant coffee but totally forgot about those baskets for regular coffee, only I don't recall seeing that at hellmart, probably hidden

Been absent a few days here, but keeping reading to see what's going on. Bonnie, good to see you back and sorry I don't drink coffee, so no help there. Carolb, you are ahead of me in flower planting and such. Haven't gotten them yet. That's today's plan. Irmi, hope your dad gets to feeling better real soon. Sarah, love that hair cut.

Was a wonderful weekend here in MI. Plenty of sun and warm temps. I worked on my TT most of the time, making shelf for inside one of my cupboards and also did a little "finish" work on one of the cornice boards we recovered last weekend. Also finished up my hitch "carrier", now to paint everything. Will post pictures when it's all done. Then can start cleaning the TT and get it ready to roll someplace. I'm working up a trip into Michigan's U.P. for next month, want to just drive along the southern border and then the northern one, seeing some places I haven't been in a few years as well as checking out some other state parks. Also going to find waterfalls and what not in the western part. Anybody want to join me, you are welcome. Keep in mind though that I will be state park camping, since I have a MI Recreation Passport (park permit) They do now have a daily permit for those just wanting stay a night or two, but it's far cheaper in the long run to just buy a non resident permit as you get it paid for in about 3 or 4 nights of camping. However there are plenty of private and state, national forest campgrounds. State Forest ones require the permit however. Will be going in mid June.

Need to get a move on here. Banking, trip to vet for flea/heatrworm/tick med for Sassy, pet food store and so forth. Then stop at flower place and pick up some posies. On home to paint the stuff and then probably plant posies. So ya' all have a great day out there.

Good morning
its already 77 degrees out and its just barely 6:00, gonna be a hot one today. Certainly won't get much done outside.
There is plenty to keep me busy inside but I might make a run to Home Depot to get the rest of the lumber for the
deck. I can at least get it here and it will be available to cut and paint each morning in the coolness. Then get it all
put together. Hopefully another week and I'll have it all done.
The question on the coffee pot...I use a full size 12 cup coffee pot and just reheat in the microwave as I go along. When
I was in my van conversion I had a little 2 cupper that plugged into the cigarette lighter, never had enough coffee.
But it served the purpose for waking up, and of course was much better for me when I was hitting the road.
Better get dressed and get off the computer before it gets too hot to do anything, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good mornin' to all!

Had a great cookout on Sunday with family and friends; DH deep fried a turkey and friends made duck poppers to grill. Everyone brought a dish and oh my all the yummy desserts we had!

My son and his girlfriend both brought their dogs and stayed on after everyone else left to let them play with our dogs. What a lot of fun they had running around and chasing each other! Picture 5 large dogs all over 65 lbs. (and 2 over 100!) running all over my yard! Thank goodness we have lots of room for them!

Finally got the cap off and the tc on my truck-I'm ready to rock n roll now! Just have to load up all the rest of the stuff that goes into the bed side compartments and then I'll be ready to go. Cheryl's posts about nearby sp's in IL have me itching to go and camp; I happen to be free this weekend to I'm planning to head out somewhere.

Sue, I'd love to come up and follow you on your trip. Right now I have 2 weekends open in June so it could be possible we could hook up somewhere. Please let me know what your plans are.

Sarah, love your haircut! It looks so nice on you, it's just the right length.

Irmi, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad not feeling well, I'll say a prayer for his speedy recovery. Hope your mechanic finally gets your lights problems figured out and fixed.

Carol sounds like you are going to have a lovely garden!

Bonnie, I'm not much help; I drink instant cappachino so no coffee maker, tho we do have a teeny tiny one in the tc. Have never used it tho.

Good Morning everyone... what a nice crowd here... Shadow is missing Augie... they used to play and wrestle but Augie does not do that anymore... They did enjoy being together though...

I use the one cup Keurig with my insert to put my own grounds in it... if the k-cups are on sale I sometimes use them... when my Keurig was on the fritz I used a small strainer with a filter in it. put it over my cup and brewed it that way...

When I was shopping the other day I started talking to a lady... she had a lift chair that her husband used but he has passed away now... she wanted to give it away but I said that would be way to expensive to give away... she said $50 now that was doable... after the kids got back from camping we went the 20 miles to see it. it was in excellent shape so now I have it in my living room... it will help when my knees are hurting..

I got back yesterday afternoon from a weekend camping with my sister at Toledo Bend Lake. The lake is up 3 or 4 feet from last summer. The fishing wasn't all that good but the weather was really nice until yesterday. It was in the 80's with a breeze. Yesterday the wind picked up so that made the water rough so we left about noon. A nice relaxing weekend where our families couldn't bother us.

I found a 4 cup Mr Coffee a couple of years ago with a metal pot. I thought that would be good for the motorhome. I had been using one of the under cabinet coffee makers until the part that attached it to the cabinet broke. I kept using it on the cabinet for a while but it took up more room than the 4 cup one. When I looked for another one for under the cabinet they were more than I wanted to pay. I found that they steam the cabinet a lot too and I don't know that is a good idea. I have one of the funnel makers for an emergency. I think I got it from REI. You can find them online. The Starbuck instant coffee in the little tubes isn't too bad but a little expensive.

I have to bring my motorhome in Thursday to get the refrigerator looked at and a few other things. Camping with ice chests isn't very handy. The last time it was in a shop they kept it a month. Hope this place is better and faster.

Better get moving, I have a dentist appointment at 11:30. Hope I can get there and back before the rain moves in.

Kathleen, that is a good deal on a lift chair. My DH has one and I'm afraid the motor is going out. It moves very slow. The control went out once and I ordered the part online and replaced it myself. After talking to the furniture store a couple of times I think I knew more about the chair than they did.

back from Home Depot, the car is unloaded and the wood is awaiting its next process. Don't let me fool you girls,
my energy level is good for about two hours and then its done until I replenish with...ummm a nap sometimes
food and beverage. I do things in steps, otherwise I get overwhelmed with the vastness of things to do.
There was a time in my life that it was quite easy to be "lazy" but that has passed and I do try to keep busy as I've
been told by my "elders" if I rest I rust.

Good morning, Toby and I had our walk early and you would think he is 12 years old instead of two. He plods along behind me and it almost looks like I'm dragging him. If he sees one of his friends or another dog he starts to trot right along, maybe he's bored.

I had a dentist appointment this morning too, I had no cavities hope you were lucky too Martha.

Bonnie you asked about coffee, I am a coffee addict and have tried just about every type of coffee maker on the marker. I want mine hot and fresh so only make a cup at a time. The two below might interest you, the firsts one will make more than one cup but you can control the strength. Your pour hot water in over the grounds and let it 'brew' to your liking when you place it on your cup/container that released the coffee. A little more control than just pouring through a filter. I also like the Keurig and like Kathleen have the insert so I can use my own coffee. I order coffee twice a year as it freezer really well. The place I order from is Porto Rico Import, they have a good fall and spring sale at great prices so I take advantage of their sales.

Good Morning to all.

Both Orion and Orson are doing great here, as is their mother, who is healing fast now. We might be heading back to my house in Vermontville this upcoming weekend....or might stay here one more week----not sure yet. Internet is iffy here, so I was unable to get on here much yesterday. Here's hoping all of you are well and happy doing fun things wherever you may be!

Sorry too hear your dad is sick again, Irmi. Hopefully he will recover faster this time.

Went shopping today at Walmart, and I got Orion his first two-wheeler bike with training wheels----a Spiderman motif one!, with a matching helmet. Now he will need some practice to learn how to ride it.

Coffee for me is always made by the cup with a plastic filter holder on the top of my cup and a Melita coffee filter inside the holder. I boil the water and pour it slowly into the filter with a couple of teaspoons of coffee in there. Always fresh, and no waste.
