Good morning everyone. I thought I'd jump in real quick before the wifi takes a nap and before we get a call from service to move RED. We graduated from service bay #4 yesterday with a new water pump, new city water valve, rubber slide seals, new slide awning cover for supper slide, leveling system that actual levels, fireplace, new floor tiles to replace damaged ones, repaired drawer and doors that had damage and (drum roll pls) a new Select Comfort Sleep Number bed. All compliments from Tiffin. :P

So I got to "sleep in" for my birthday. We are now in queue for the next service bay. Our next service bay will be the front end shop where they will test and evaluate the steering (constantly pulls 15 degrees to the right. A real fight to keep it straight.). They are also going to install a steering stabilizer after they figure out the other problem.

Weather has been mild. Rain and muggy, but nothing like Houston. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good morning ladies
Muggy today all the rain we had still has
the ground saturated. Took a drive out to
the RV yesterday to make sure it was
dry inside, all was good.
40 years ago today I was laying in a
hospital bed recuperating from a
premature birth of my first born. Makes
me feel old.
Then my brother posted on fb that my
mother passed away. We've been estranged
for 38 years. It feels weird not to be
there for my brother and sister, but
it is what it is. Perhaps I'll be able to
see my dad next summer.
About time to clock in, catch ya'll later,
enjoy your day.

Good morning all, it is wonderful here, wonderfully COOL, at last the air is not heavy with humidity and supposed to last through the week!!!
Red glad you are getting every thing fixed. I wouldn't have the patience to wait around, I'd want to leave it and come back when it was all better. :) Donna glad you decided to take a break sounds like you are making progress. Kathleen enjoy the cool breeze isn't it nice to open a window!! Ava ((((((HUGS)))))

Toby wants to tell Thistle that he had to get his hair cut yesterday too but he didn't get to go out to a spa. He wants to know if his mom got his mustache straight, he said the rest of him isn't finished so he is just showing his face. Please don't tell her I said so but, she is really slow I might be on this table for days. :(

It's still morning here in Wyoming, but just barely, so I will hurry and post.

Red, I had a similar good experience with factory service on my Fleetwood in Indiana. Only difference is that the campground was a parking lot with electric hookups, but they did keep you in the same service bay with the same team the entire time. It is certainly a better experience that dealer service, isn't it?? Instead of arguing with you and fixing things wrong and having to redo them, they got to work and fixed everything right the first time.

I arrived here at Keyhole State Park yesterday without much chance for exploring. Today is going to be a rest, work, and then ride my bike day, in that order. I enjoyed sleeping in and catching up on some stuff. I've got some work to do, and then will go bike riding around this place. There is a big reservoir here, but I can only see a bit of it through the trees. Wish the roadways were asphalt because the pickups driving around with boats are making so much dust I don't feel comfortable opening windows.

I added my blog URL to my signature. I had not done this before because my kids asked me not to post it widely because of their fears for my safety. I think they are more relaxed about it now, and I don't post anything personal or about where I am going to be very specifically.

Went to see Deadwood and Lead, SD, plus Mount Rushmore earlier this week, and then stopped at a very interesting place called Vore Buffalo Jump yesterday. It does not look impressive and there is a fee, but the place is non-profit and a dig site worked by the U of Wyoming so it is very legitimate. The place is where the ancient Native Americans used to chase buffalo over a small cliff so that they fell into a sinkhole and died. They butchered them in the bottom and left their bones and spear points. These have built up in layers over hundreds of years. Also, last spring a local log cabin company donated and built an incredible log teepee that is worth seeing in itself. You have to walk down into the sinkhole and go inside a building to see the dig site and bones. A few people have posted really negative things on TripAdvisor, but they clearly looked at it from the parking lot without paying the fee and were disappointed by just a hole in the ground--duh! (One person said a mudslide had covered up the dig this past spring, which is impossible since it has been inside a building for several years.)

So if you see a big white teepee on I 90 in Wyoming just west of the South Dakota border, stop at the visitor center and then drive along the road east. Can't miss it.

Well it's finally a little cooler here in Northern MN. I made a batch of red grape jelly this morning. This is my official taste tester and he said it was the best jelly ever. He's making his second piece of toast, and waiting for mom to pick him up so he can take some jelly home. Lol.

The fee there must be new, Judy, as when I was there a couple years ago I didn't pay anything. But it certainly is interesting.

Just a tad into afternoon here, but I'm off today - although spent a couple hours helping them here this morning. Always things to be done.

Love that I'm in a sundress in Alaska - have had plenty of days could have worn one, but was working most of them - so nice to be able to on an off day.

Glad to see all that's getting done on RED, Red. So good to hear.

Ava, sorry about your family - but do understand the estrangement. They happen.

I enjoyed your blog too, Judy. I believe I must have visited the buffalo jump before the building was there...don't remember that, but it was interesting even then to me.

Judy,You are in a beautiful part of the country, I love it out there. We were there Liz, I don't think there was much of anything for miles around, seems like there was a small building near where we parked. Also a historic marker or sign telling about it. We walked all over the place. My imagination goes wild at times, and I could visualize just how it was done.

Seems you are really enjoying your trip west and seeing very interesting places. I plan to check your blog out later this evening when I have a wee bit more time. (after dark)

Stay safe and enjoy,
CArol :)

Judy,

I just finished reading your blog and I feel just terrible that I didn't give you this tip earlier. You really should have taken the little known road behind Mount Rushmore. You would have seen the monument from an entirely different prospective. It not nearly as commercialized either.
