I'm off to Ocala for appt. with cardio dr. Then Roe and Bandit have to see the "you-know-who" for their annual check-up and shots. Roe also has some new symptoms we need to discuss to see if anything can be done to help him, or if it's just old-age creeping in. In addition to his hearing loss that became apparent over the summer, he has recently been getting weaker and is falling often. He is having trouble getting into and out of the RV without help. I'll shop for a wide step today to see if that will help with that. I think someone, maybe Tina, uses an exercise step for her dogs. And in the last week he has developed a cough, so that will need to be checked out too, poor guy.

So after that, we'll have the rest of a gorgeous day to sit in the sunshine and watch the birds...and the bees. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Liz and all who follow,

It is indeed going to be a beeutiful day. We have some clouds here at the moment but they are breaking up and promise is of sunshine and mild temps.

Sorry to hear that Roe is under the weather, Liz. Hope "you know who" will find the cause and put him on the road to recovery. It's hard watching our pets age.

Been a busy couple of days here the past weekend. Picked up and dumped my two big pine needle piles, did a little leaf blowing, changed the oil and filter in my lawn tractor, pulled it's battery out, washed and waxed it and put it away for a long winter's nap. Dragged out my big snowblower, changed the oil and did general lubrication, started it up, checked it all over and all systems are go. So ready for the first snow that needs to be blown out, which will be awhile. I still have a smaller snowblower to start up yet, but that doesn't require much to get going. Also removed some rotting wood decorative trim from my neighbors house that she wanted off and filled in the screw holes. That project is done. Going to check a couple of holes today as I think they may need a bit more caulk filler but wanted to wait till the stuff I put in yesterday dried.

From the looks of the trees and such around up here, mom nature is not ready to bring winter on just yet. There are still trees with leaves just now turning, mostly oaks and a few maples. Yesterday when I took the dogs over to the park for a walk, there was a maple all glorious in it's coat of blazing yellow. And one maple in my yard has yet to even loose it's leaves of green. Nope, not ready by a long shot.

So today I am off to town this morning to return a couple of shirts I ordered back to LL Bean. Going to exchange for a larger size. They have some really nice Women's Chamois shirts and I like the material and the shirt in general, but my usaul size was justa bit too small. Thought they would be nice to wear camping in the early spring and fall. Need a couple of things from Wally World and then willl be heading for home and finish washing windows around here. Did a few yesterday but wanted to wait till last nights rain showers went through to finish. And will put out driveway markers so I know where my drive is when we get the first few snows. Everything goes completely white and it's hard to follow the edge of the drive with the blower till a bank builds up a bit. Otherwise pretty well done around here.

Got reservations made for Maple Ridge Resort west of Marquette in the U.P. for Thanksgiving week. My new friend Brenda and I are going up for the holiday and I am going to show her some of the sights in that part of Michigan. She has never been to that part of the U.P. We are really looking forward to it. Whether there will be snow or not remains to be seen.

GOOD MORNING LIZ, SUE, AND ALL!

Nice bee pic, Liz. Molly says to send Roe some good luck at his doc's today----she misses walking with him, always trying to get ahead of him to be the leader! I don't like to hear of him getting old----he's such a good old guy to camp and travel with. I am wondering if maybe he picked up Lyme Disease somewhere, which would be a good diagnosis, as that can be treated. Let us know later about your day----of course, I also hope your appointment goes well, too!

Nice that you have vacation plans to look forward to, Sue, for the Thanksgiving holidays. I hope to see some pictures of the fun!

It got down to freezing here last night, but the sun is shining this morning for the first time since I left here after Orion was born! We've had over two weeks with NO SUN! Of course, we did have the son to brighten our days, however!

Joe left to go back to work at my house area way before dawn today. I know he was dreading having to leave both Mandy and Orion, but I am glad I can be here for the next couple of weeks to help out---until she can once again lift stuff and drive herself. We may go grocery shopping today, and try to get some pics printed out at Kinney's. I will carry Orion's car seat and do the driving in her car. In the meantime, Molly and I can go "frog hunting" around the ponds for those idiotic frog souls that are still not hibernating for the cold winter!

I am looking forward to some pics of the sites at Wekiwa Springs Park in FL which Pete, who arrived there last night for a couple of days, will take for us and post so we can see what to expect when we get there. He said it seemed to be a beautiful place, if not a bit narrow in the entrance area. We shall see in the daylight what he learns. It's nice to have a scout out there for us!

Coffee is hot, and I hope to have a bunch of you stop in and give us a few words about your day!

Oh Liz, it sounds bad for Roe. Hope the doc can help. Gus is starting to have problems too. His eye sight is much worse from the cataracts. You have to hand him food or treats because if you throw them and he misses them he has a hard time seeing things on the floor. And lately he has more trouble with his backside. We walked a trail Sunday afternoon before work and he had problems getting his backside over some downed trees that a couple months ago he would have climbed all over. The other day I tried to help him "jump" up on the couch and he bit me because I touched his backside. He's never bit me in his 13 years so I know there's a lot of pain in those old hips. He gets his doggy gluco.... for his joints but I guess it only can do so much.

It's beautiful here in Campbellsville and I might just put the yak in the water and see if he will ride the lake with me before I go to work. Hope everyone is having a beautiful weather day today.

Good Morning Liz and the bee as well as everyone else... We had rain early this morning and it is cool... Yesterday was beautiful after Sunday dinner we went to the apple orchard... I got two bags of apples... one for my daughter in Il and one for me...
Tomorrow I leave for home... will take a couple of days as I do not like to go far in one day...
I bet Orion is growing like a weed Soos... how fun this time is... Liz I am sorry that Roe has so much discomfort... it is not fun to watch our furry ones have pain when they cannot tell us what hurts... I hope they have something that can ease his troubles... and hope your appointment goes well... Oh Sue that sounds like a great plan for Thanksgiving...

Good morning, neat way to start the day Liz. I am so sorry to hear of Roe's problems, I hope its something that can be helped. It really hurts to see our buddies having problems.

Maybe I should have just said 'morning' left the good off. I turned my kitchen faucet on and NO WATER. I do not know whats up with that, but will have to find out. I have been very busy getting moved out into my 'new home' this morning. My nephew is to come and paint decks, and other repairs (I hope) today. so I would be stranded inside but best to be outside, and I do have water in my 'new home' which is way more then I can say for in here Probably more big bucks, just what I need !!!

Looks like a really pretty day coming up. Soos, you just having freeze temps? We had 3 nights last week which was upsetting to me, but didn't last too many hrs, but long enough I was concerned and didn't sleep to well. Nothing winterized here yet. Hopefully nephew can help with that too. Will just plug new home in and run heater until I can leave here.
tanks have heat strips, but hopefully won't be really bad temps just yet.

I hope everyone's day will be a really good one. Thinking of you Liz, with cardio dr., he usually tries to give you a hard time, but hope this time, all is really well. Your new life style should have helped all that . Hope Roe will get a decent report too.

As for all my Sistahs on here, sure hope your day has started better then mine, one very good thing is I always fix my coffee pot at night, can you imagine the state I would have been in at 5 this morning, if I had discovered no water , without coffee in me ?

Another sunny, warm, dry day here. We could really use some rain but none in sight. Liz, hope your appointment goes well and Roe is ok. He is such a sweet dog. I need to go through the records for the house cats. The vet called while I was in Arkansas. I think several of them are behind in their check ups.

Carol, I know how aggravating being without water can be. At least we have our other home in a bind. We have "city" water here now and a well. A community water system was put in about 8 years ago. It's a good thing it was before Hurricane Rita or they wouldn't have bothered. So many people left after the hurricane. Our well and the neighbors well are piped together so we can both use either one. For many years that was all we had.

My DH's satellite receiver went out and I need to hook up the new one and call Direct TV to get it activated. The only place I hate to call worse than Direct TV is the phone company. I haven't looked in the box yet but hope there is a number to call that bypasses the automated answering system. They never have the choice I want.

Good afternoon.
Liz - I love starting my day with your great photos. (I did look at forum earlier).
Keeping fingers crossed for a positive check up for both you and Roe. When Annie (big Lab) started having trouble with steps, I got an old door and covered it with some scrap carpet so she could use that on an incline to avoid steps. Know you cannot carry something that large around with you but might try something smaller.
It has been a long, noisy, busy day so far. I did not sleep well last night and phone woke me before 7:00 this AM.
Concrete workers are pouring surface on incredibly large pool surround/patio next door. Roofer showed up this morning to start my roof. It has been almost 6 months to the day since April tornados. I'll be so glad when this is done. Before roofer arrived, I got blower out and cleared driveway of leaves and moved van to other drive. Only 2 guys working so far - they are tearing the old roof off.
Weather is beautiful - lots of sunshine and near 80 today. No rain in forecast until Thursday; surely the roof will be finished by then.
I'm ready for a nap but not likely to get one worked in today.
