WEDNESDAY CHORE DAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WEDNESDAY CHORE DAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's 38 degrees here this morning, and still grey and damp out there as it's been since I left Orion's house north of here. I am ready to see some sunshine, although I don't see any in the near future!

Today I have a busy schedule---first, get my truck serviced and inspected, go to bank and order more checkbooks (for the backwards little banks where I have loans on my truck and trailer and who do NOT yet have internet sites where I can pay my monthly payments), get some last-minute groceries to take back to my trailer tomorrow, go to my old doctor's office and sign a release to get my medical records for any new docs I may encounter, stop by school and visit with former students and faculty, gas up my truck and my cans for the generator, come back here and finish loading truck for early departure tomorrow. I guess I won't get the snow this year I was hoping for so I could get in just one cross-country ski before I leave for the southern winter climate of FL. Oh well----perhaps I will drive up in December for Christmas and a ski then!

Gotta get moving here. Stop in and have a sip of coffee and tell us about your day.

Happy travels!

Good Morning Soos and all who follow.

You are certainly going to have a busy day today Soos. It's a bit chilly and cloudy here this mornnig too, but we did have some sunshine yesterday inbetween the little rain showers passing through. Rain i moving in however and some parts of the state have High Wind Advisories or Warnngs.

This is going to be a lazy day for my today. I worked outside all day yesterday, blowing leaves and pine needles, so today I am not doing much of anything. Will be heading into Gaylord this afternoon to make a visit at the funeral home for a friends husband who passed away on Monday. Als oneed to go to the Michigan Works office and get my Validation papers from the Unemployment agency signed and show them that I have a resume online as is required by the state to collect unemployment. should be getting one other necessary paper in the mail today. Need to get some dry dog food to. The girls seem to be getting tired of the one they are on, so will see what I can find and give them a change.

So time to get moving around here I guess. Want to take a bath and wash my hair. Breakfast was egg and cheese omelet and a bowl of blackberries. So stop by and tell us how your life is going these days. Don't have a lot in the house right now, but can offer some fruit and orange juice.

Have a great day all and those on the road, enjoy and drive with care.

It's a chilly 45 degrees here it rained during the night but now just dreary out side, I need to walk but think I may nap instead. I was still awake at three AM and I have no idea why woke up at six so not a good night. First time I've done that in a long time. Soos your to do list for the day is long. Hope it all goes well and you are all ready to head out as planned. This weather makes me sort of wish I were heading south but I don't think I could handle a long stay in my RV just not enough space. I do have a friend in Ft Myers with a large spare room but that's a bit too warm even in winter for me, maybe I should dream about a west coast winter in San Diego ahhh that sounds good.
We are taking Charley and Winnie to the vet this afternoon, every time we take two dogs at the same time I swear never again but...in theory it sounds easier and Charley is, but the little ones ACK they hate the ride and they don't want to walk on their leash, we always feel like we've done a days work by the time we get back home. With Charley he just walks in and when they say put him on the scale, he walks over and gets on the scale and sits. He is really having a hard time getting up and down even with his medication which helped for awhile, maybe it is this weather.
Take care all and enjoy your day.

Good morning, Soos and all who come in later !! Does sound like a busy day, Soos. Not a cheerful looking day outside here, but cold hasn't come in yet, as they say it will. BUT I woke up this morning, so its going to be a great day :D Hopefully, I can clear the table of all the piles of sorted mail, and be done with that. Then I will collect the things that are in here, that I want to take with me. In my travels home, I have made a mental list of must haves and where I will put it in my new home.

Soos, yes, I am selling out and going to travel as long as I am able and see some more of this "Great" country we live in and visit my many friends and family. I have made up my mind not to set here any longer in total solitude and while away my days left. I have no close ties to anyone here, the economy helped move friends away. This place has no memories for my children, where they grew up or have even been able to visit often enough to even have a fondness for it. I have just been existing here and since my surgery, I have given very serious thougths to all of this, so yes, I am out of here and living a more adventurous life, or at least being a real part of life.

I have a very busy time ahead of me, wish it was all done, as all I want to do, is not be here, but there is so much I must take care of. I do hope that after Thanksgiving, I will be in a position that I can leave for at least Dec.

Speaking of busy time, I must get at it, and do what the weather will allow today, which I think will fill this day.

Have a great day everyone, enjoy it for what it is, a gift !!!

Good Morning... at least it was until the power went out now I am finally writing again...
Wow Soos you have a lot to do... are you going to go see Orion before you leave for Florida?
Good to see you Sue... Carol I wish you luck on selling your place and starting a new adventure...
It is a cool rainy day here... will stay in and wait for a call from my friend Trina as she may come this afternoon and we will go someplace for lunch...
Everything is low key today...
Hope you all have a pleasant day...

It finally feels like Autumn in AR. Mel or my son will light my gas log pilot tonight. I bought 3 Eden Pure heaters about 2 years ago and I use them to heat my house, have found they are more economical than my propane furnace. Soos, the time is here. You will think of that beautiful Orion every moment but you'll see him Christmas so that will console you. The first grandchild is just so wonderful. I hope all goes well with your last minute preparations and the journey ahead.
Sue, kind of hated to hear you winterized your RV, you seemed to really enjoy your summer trips. If we were closer I might drop in at breakfast time, I always get hungry reading about them.
BJ, I know about trying to handle two dogs at the vets..I finally decided it had to be one at a time. This certainly made it easier and I think the Dr and staff like it better too. I hope you decide to keep your RV, I still want to come to Door County next summer. I agree the ones likes ours are a little cramped, but the ease of maneuvering is a real plus.
Carole, good for you, making up your mind to unload the encumbrances and set your GPS on 'anywhere I want to go'. This site and those like WRV helps with gathering the 'courage'. As we see others who made this decision and how they have never been happier, it gives us that needed little boost. I have chosen not to take this route but I hope to travel 1/3rd of the year until I am tired of it or health issues arise. This year's travel plan to Seattle in July had to be aborted because of a health issue. That is behind me, thank goodness but my plan to go see my brother in SC, spending time in the Smokies, is now delayed because I received a letter that I am on jury duty until the end of the year. Okay, so it will all happen in 2012, and I might even travel 1/2 of it.

Was going to be a chore day for me too. The day's intervened.

Went back to see the nurse again this morning. She changed my meds, maybe I won't be dashing to the little RVer's as often.

Was going to dump and then go to the pool and get a non confining shower and a hot tub, but work intervened.

My SMS 'beeper' kept calling me to go help students in the virtual world, so I figured I'd better go do computer work so I'd be online if somebody needed me. The students tend to all do their assignments at the last minute, so usage has spikes.

Even that sorta got interrupted. Had some work for a client, started into it, figured a better way to do it, but want to check with client to make sure it's OK to spend a bit more for better result. So I'm standing around working on stuff semi at random.

Haven't checked in for a few days - biggest news is that the new tires are on the front.

The vehicle feels very, very different driving on the new tires! It's a bit disconcerting. The tire shop said to inflate to 60 cold, 75 hot - that's way more than I'd been driving on, and I feel every bump in the road.
When I die I'm gonna be cremated. I can't stand the idea of spending eternity in a box with no wheels.

Annie, there should be a sticker somewhere in your rv...on the wall behind the driver seat or on the inside of the driver door that tells you what the psi should be on the tires....that's assuming the new ones are the same size as the old ones. It's usually different than what is stated on the tire. That number is the max psi. USUALLY, what the rv manufacturer calls for is a little less than what is on the tire. The sticker could also be on the inside of a cabinet door. Someone could have removed it, tho. I would look for it, might be it would give you info that would give you a better ride. Overinflated is just as bad for control and tire wear as under inflated.
