GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It seems so impossible that September is about to close. In fact, it seems so impossible that this entire year of 2011 is winding down. As I have said before, it is a cruel trick that when the human mind wishes for longer and longer days, and longer and longer years, and longer and longer decades, that time speeds up and things are over in a quick blink. Where are those halcyon, long summer days, and long school months, and interminable winters of our youth?? Where are my babies? They simply cannot be adults yet, and yet.....

Sigh. Morning coffee is hot and tastes good as I am watching the sun come out from behind the earlier clouds. The temperature is warm enough to allow me to have the door and windows open. Unfortunately, the leaves here seem to be falling off before they are becoming the brilliant colors I love to view. The smell of fall is in the air.

This mornig Mandy and I will go to her hospital for a sort of stress test ordered by the doctor yesterday to see how the unborn baby might react to the labor stress that is so close now. I am wondering, if that test means stimulating the uterus to contract, that if perhaps, once started, they won't be able to stop it. I think maybe we should take her hospital bag with us!

Joe will be able to come and stay now until the baby is born and for a couple of weeks after the birth, so all is ready. Mandy says she has set her mind to begin labor today sometime, so that tomorrow, October 1st, the due date, will indeed be the birth date! If she is as determined as her mother was the day before she was born, Mandy should begin labor today!

Geese flying over in larger and larger flocks doing their goosey fall thing make a joyful cacaphony to add to the fall airs. Off I go for a walk with Molly before we leave for the hospital. Stay tuned!

Good morning Soos and all to come. Soos, I've noticed the same thing about the leaves in my travels. It may be just too soon where I was, but it seemed like the leaves were turning brown and dropping without turning pretty colors. Wonder if it was the stresses of all the weird weather we've had this year? Geese were flying and honking over the lake here too. I love this time of year.

Got my fingers crossed that labor begins today, but mostly praying for a healthy birth whenever it occurs.

Roe and I will be going out in the kayak again this morning and explore the shoreline in the other direction. Intended to take it out twice yesterday, but got lazy I guess. It's not like a job I have to do. It's supposed to turn cold (40s) the next few mornings, but rise into the perfect 70s during the day. If it keeps up, it should be great weather for the gtg next week.

Tomorrow I promised myself would be cleaning day....my RV needs a thorough cleaning inside front to back. I'll also take it to the dump station and get that over with so won't have to do it Sunday morning. And near the dump station is the laundry...will do a load of that too. We'll see if I accomplish all that, ha!

Good luck on finishing your chores Liz, I'm here instead of vacuuming like I had planned. Soos, I hope the baby comes soon!!! Little does she/he know the anticipation surrounding the arrival.

I went to a vaudeville show at one of the wineries last night. It was outside and quite good. The weather started out perfect then suddenly the wind came from the north and we were wishing we had brought coats instead of sweaters.

Ok, the vacuum calls and I can't ignore it this time.

Oh Soos, you had me imagining all sorts of things this morning! Mandy in the middle of labor, clock strikes midnight, you shout your usual "Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits" and scaring the little fellow back in the bunny hole! :shock:
