FANTASTIC FRIDAY!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FANTASTIC FRIDAY!

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Aug 19, 2011 6:40 am

YAHOO!!!!

Coffee tastes much better this morning realizing that maybe quite a few people can make it here after all!!

I did some last minute chores on the yard and house yesterday, and then Richard and I went over the mountain to Wilmington's free music again last night. While there, I met a long-time friend who is the niece of a guy who has a Class A motorhome for sale on that road between here and there. I have wanted to stop to check on it, but was afraid it would cost much more than I could ever afford. However, the niece said it has only 14,000 miles on it, he bought it from an older couple who couldn't use it any more, and he is asking 14,000 bucks for it! She said it is in beautiful condition, so I intend to give him a call and get over there to see it. I am hoping maybe those of you who have Class As will come with me to assess it! Do I want it? Probably not, but maybe yes? Where would I use it? Would I use it? Sigh-----just another option on my confused road of life-----but the price is right if the vehicle is!

Today I will vacuum the house, spend some quality time in my pool as it's forecast to get into the mid 80s, and then go grocery shopping for the Ruckus stuff in Lake Placid at Price Chopper. Weather could be better, but it could also be worse, for most of next week. I think it will be just fine, actually.

Saturday I will go to our local rec park for a free music/flea market/bake sale all-day affair to relax and take a day off.

Sunday morning I will put the post roast dinner on to slow cook while I kick back and await the crowds of people who will show up, "because I have built it", as Carol said yesterday!

Apologies for the depressing post of yesterday----perhaps I was tired. I went to bed as soon as I got back from the music fest last night, and I feel much better this morning! Thanks to all who tried to buck me up yesterday! Looking forward to my upcoming GTG!

Good morning all. So glad you are feeling better Soos, some morning are just like that you wake up in a funk. You didn't say how old or how long the Class A motorhome is that you saw. If it has been sitting awhile it would need to have a thorough inspection and hoses/belts replaced. Also think gas mileage.

It is has been threatening rain here with thunder rumbles and lightening all morning but so far no rain. We got quite a bit yesterday afternoon which was welcome, also cooled the temps down 20 degrees just in time for my afternoon coffee run. Any day that starts out with clouds in the summer is a good way to start the day for me! Does it seem to anyone else that August is flying by?

Take care and if anyone else needs rain maybe you can get Rainmaker Sharon to come your way.

Soos, check the tire age too. On a Class A that can be a big expense. Even if the tires look good you can have a blowout if they are old.

My DH was counting how many days are left in August. I think he thinks it will be cooler September 1. lol It has really been hot the last few days. Yesterday, our outdoor thermometer was 106.

Morning ladies!

I know it's been a while since my last post. Some days I'm so busy I don't even get on line. That is so not like me. Sold some more furniture this past 2 weeks. Down to 3 beds, 5 lamps, 2 bar stools, and a credenza. My friend Phil came over to help me install a new program on my laptop and I laughed when he asked where my office is. I usually put the laptop on my lap - in my bed. I told him he had 2 choices: my bed or the lawn chairs I still have set up in the den. I won't tell you which choice he took (oh that Phil is a devil) but I did get the software installed.

Lots going on. The house is still not sold or even rented but I do have some prospects. Ever the optimist I am moving on with plans. I have confirmed my spot at Green River State Park for Oct. 8th and begin work on Oct. 9th at Amazon in Campbellsville, KY. Originally they told me Nov. 6th and I had a spot for Nov. 4th but then they asked me to come sooner so I will have to move once while I'm there but that's OK with me. The park is beautiful and I may even get a chance to kayak some while I'm there.

As soon as I finish checking mail I will finish loading up the Seeker and heading to Hohenwald, TN to meet some family for a birthday lunch and then my stepdaughter and I are going off for the weekend. She's been so jealous of my new lifestyle and the fact that I took the grands camping but not her yet. This is just a girls weekend for us. We are going to Evansville, IN to visit the haunted library (Darlene is a big ghost hunter fan). I have a reservation at the 4H Camp in Evansville. Yes, the 4H camp. I'll log in on that section later and let you know how it is. But I'm paying $25/night for a pull through with full hook ups, cable TV, and WiFi. Sounds too good to be true.

Ooops, Dryer just buzzed. Gotta finish packing and get on the road.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Afternoon!
Been absent this week as my sister has been back in the hospital again. She is out now.
Our heat and humidity have returned after a couple days break. Limbs and leaves from last thunderstorm still cluttering the yard and driveway but I choose to stay inside today. Washing finally caught up. Big pan of fresh veggies roasted with garlic. (Garlic smalls good now but may regret that later.) Did a little bookkeeping and have been playing with my new toy. Thanks to Mitch for introducing me to Wii FitPlus at the BMR gtg, I now have my own. So far I love it.
Off to plat catch up on other posts. Hope to see you tomorrow; I miss you ladies when I' m gone.
