SUNNY THURSDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNNY THURSDAY MORNING

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Jun 16, 2011 8:43 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I couldn't get on here yesterday morning, so no entry from me-----have no clue what the problem was, but couldn't get on with my desktop inside the house, either. Carol, I would love to be a participant in your 'new baby/RV' shower!

Cholesterol levels slightly down, but still way too high. Blood pressure, upper way too high (systolic) diastolic nice and low. Liver function still ok, in spite of the high dose of statins and Mike's Harder Lemonade! Another blood test to make sure my muscles are not getting toxic due to statins, and, if not, will keep on the high dose of statin drug. Plan is to double the blood pressure drug to see if that can be brought under control. Sigh-----I can't win. I plan to eat no meat or fats now for a while, just to see if veggies and fruits (gag) can make a difference.

Plan to clean more of the pond cabin (leanto already done) so Mandy and Joe can move down there for the summer. Then do some more mwing up here. If it stays as nice as it seems to be right now, I will stay in the leanto tonight, so will have no internet access. I will have 3 PBS TV channels to watch....I wish our local channel 5, NBC were closer so my antenna could pick those up, too.

Hope you all have a good day-----Casey Anthony trial on again now, so I will watch that for a while. Defense is trying to present some sort of scenario now that will be believable by the jury. I can't believe they have a leg to stand on.

Happy Thursday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies
another hot day in the valley today, only have to go out once so will do that early before it gets too hot.
My construction project in my room is coming right along. Everything is coming off the floor and onto
shelves. I priced a gallon of white stain for the wood but it will have to wait until I pay the bills for July.
I can't believe how high paint has gotten over the years. $25 for one gallon of the stain I want, and that
is the cheapest!
Made a meatloaf in my new convection oven, it turned out great, was so yummy and there wasn't any
left over. I hadn't made a meatloaf in YEARS! I was quite pleased with myself :D
Gonna do brownies today for a snack. Bought one of those ready to bake mixes from Duncan Hines, says
on the box not to thaw unless the batter had shifted. When I opened it, all the batter had flowed to one
end of the tray before it got frozen. So......I set it out last evening to thaw so I could level it and then
cook.
Not sure what I have planned for today, nothing special so far, regular cleaning, sweeping and dusting
stuff. So much dust accumulates and a lot of it comes through the vent of the swamp cooler so I'm trying
to think of what kind of brackets I can get to attach a filter on the front of the vent. It would certainly
help.
Soos, hope you get the blood pressure back in check.
Time for another cup of coffee, then need to get dressed and go buy electricity. Enjoy your day.

Wow, everyone is being lazy today! It is almost 9am on the left coast here already. It is cloudy and 60 here right now.

Waiting to hear from the animal control people to see if they were able to find the owner of my dog yet. I hope so! They were able to get some info from the microchip number I gave them, so we'll see...

Working the afternoon/evening shift today. I am very tired after the long busy day yesterday! 25 haircuts! Whew!

Hope you all have a great day!

*EDIT: Animal control says they were not able to contact any owner from the info they had, so far. One of my clients might be interested in taking him, so I will check with him today.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

[color=#BF0000]Soos, sorry for this BP and cholesterol battle. I had high BP for years even with medicine. About the time of my divorce 5 years ago my meds were changed and I have 117 to 120 over 75 to 80 consistently. I don't know if it the divorce or the meds but whatever it's working. I am far more laid back than in my past. Ava, the meatloaf made me want to make one. I am considering putting one in my mh because I don't have an oven, only the microwave. If it bites the dust I will probably replace it with the combo. I actually like to use an oven especially to make biscuits and Red Lobster rolls.
Re the Anthony saga. I do cut her some slack because I think she is very scarred. She is a pathological liar, there's no doubt and most likely gave her little girl that chloroform and too much of it. To paint a bigger picture and voice my opinion...this is far to common, these mothers who kill their children whether on purpose or unintentionally. The ones who leave them in their carseats, going into work and getting so caught up they forget their precious cargo. I link much of this to our freely given and receiving of abortion. They have to program their thoughts about this baby coming into a bad world, their life being radically changed and the timing is so bad, all the reasons and the undervaluing of the fetus growing inside them. I know women who had abortions in their 30,s tho married. They had enough children, a career, bla bla, bla. Today most of them stay in bed on the date of the killing of their baby. I was pregnant at 16 and if abortion had been legal my mother would have made me get one. Yes, my life was permanently altered as I kept him but I didn't have to go to a shrink to help me believe he was not yet a real human being. Gosh, I got on my soapbox but we all do this from time to time, don't we

No storms last night and I got to sleep all the way through. Yeah!!!! Still drinking coffee and talking to my gd. The little gd should be here in a little bit.
Agree with your soapbox and see it more often than I care too. The older I get, the more I am apt to say something when I see or here abusive behavior.
Talked with our neighbor last night that are fixing up a used pop up and trying to plan a camping trip or two with them. Their daughter and our gd are friends and want to camp together.
Well got to get caught up reading my forums so I will be ready when they get here. Catch you around the campfire!
