Is it Saturday?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Is it Saturday?

Postby Echo » Sat Oct 25, 2008 5:39 am

Goooood Morning to all.

I'm on my 4 or 5 cup of coffee this morning. Took my first one out on my rainy back porch while Shade ran around doing her morning thing. No baked goodies this morning but I can do some scrambled eggs and toast. Got strawberry preserves, blueberry preserves and peanut butter for the toast. RISE AND SHINE

Oh goodness is it really Saturday already? Although at times the week seemed to drag? It has flown by. When I was a WHOLE lot younger I would wish it were Saturday, summer break, my birthday or Christmas and my Dad always said "Honey don't wish your time away". He explained that the older I got the faster the time would go. Good gravy Gertie!!! He was so right!!! Why the heck that now when we're old enough to really get the total enjoyment out of our days and appreciate them does the time fly so much faster? It's simply not fair. ~sigh~

Got to work today, mandatory 8hrs of overtime. It will be nice for the paycheck but dang I hate giving up a whole 8hrs to that place today. Blech! I am a star quality person and I just know that they don't appreciate my many sterling qualities! More like a body for them except they have to deal with temper tantrums! LOLOLOLOL Oh, can't forget the ears. Those are the most important body parts for this job. hehehehe

Gonna go grab another cup of coffee and some toast, take Shade and said cup back outside and enjoy the dark and the lite rain. (got the patio umbrella opened up now)

Hope everyone has a great day. Be safe

Love to all

Good Morning! I am on my second cup and enjoying having the house to myself today. We got back from our fall break camping trip Thursday. We had a ball and Brent's little friend was a really nice little guy. The state park was beautiful, even though we went there many times this summer. There weren't a lot of people there either so we could let the kids have a little more freedom. Sooo relaxing! Scotty and his brother, Kevin, have taken the kids deer hunting. They will be gone during the day for the next two days. I am going to try to get some cleaning and stuff done. You know, the stuff you can't normally do becuase the kids are around. Well, the coffee is gone and if I don't start now I never will. Have a wonderful Satruday all!!!!

good morning to you,... Echo and Mollie! Guess the rest of the gang is still snoozing. I'm still in my fleece robe at 7:40 a.m.... lucky me, usually i'm in the school's cafeteria monitoring the student b'fast crowd.

Had a great evening out after my routine dr. appt. We went to "Hong Kong Jade" which is a wonderful Chinese restaurant in Plattsburgh NY. They were busy there,... not a free table,.... I think it went to a waiting line right after we were seated. it's a buffet place and the food is outstanding. Nice people run it,... one of the waitresses always sings as she works,.. some Chinese songs,... lovely voice. But last night we weren't seated in her section.

then i went to KMart to buy curtains for some of the windows. My old miniblinds didn't fit after I had all new windows put in. I needed to get something there for insulation,... down to 24° yesterday a.m. I haven't looked this morning. Of course I have thermal pane windows, but i wanted some extra insulation. Don't have to worry about prying eyes looking in as I'm out in the woods in a very rural area.

Well,... guess it's time to fix b'fast,... those scrambled eggs sound good. i think that's what i'll do this a.m.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning, ladies! I don't usually post here, but enjoy reading everyone elses.
Cedar, I went and looked at Chalet's yesterday. I was curious as to what they were like. Goodness, I was surprised to find they come with toilets and showers! Some have air conditioning, too. The salesmen were very nice and pretty much left me alone which I enjoyed.
Have a great day ladies!

Good, Good, Good Morning - it rained here most of yesterday and all last night. But did't get as cold as forecast. However - Monday night it is supposed to be 29 - You are right about time flying by - It seems like it was just New Years Day - but then when you think back about everything you did during the year it seems like you couldn't have really done that much in such a short time.
Right now my husband is reading (translating) me the newspapers from Mexico, and South America - sure get a different perspective of the world through others eyes.
I'm excited today - we are going to meet some people traveling through here who want to meet us because they have been reading my blog for a long time. They are from Canada and came here to Brown County because they wanted to see what attracted us to it.
Hope I can pull Bill out of the motorhome long enough... now he is building a wine rack (thanks Beth!)
Now I am starting to get excited about hitting the road again.
Wishes for everyone to have an wonderful day.

well good morning ladies, I do love saturday, just something about it makes it my
favorite day of the week, can't imagine what it is, oh yea, cause I don't have
to go to work
Imagine my surprise when I went to make coffee this morning and turn the faucet
on and NO WATER!! so I had to turn the pump on and use whats in the tank. When
it gets daylight I'll go out and check the faucet and such. Its certainly not cold enough
to be frozen, its only 50 something. It could be my filter is clogged and needs replaced
or it could be a broken main somewhere and whole park shut off for repairs. Daylight
will hold the truth, but I'm just mentally fussing over the fact that I can't get my
laundry done or flush my black tank.
Have a good day and be safe

Almost There,... yes Chalet is really a great little rig. I don't have a bathroom in mine, chose to go for the larger living area instead. I have a portapotti with a cover that serves it's original purpose when needed and also as a hassock in front of the sofa. I have the dinette in the front end which also makes into a bed. I really wanted the living space and the ability for two separate beds. However, were i to buy one again i might go for the bathroom in the front and the larger kitchen and counter on the opposite side with just the sofa(bed) in the back end. As with any camper,.... they all have good features ... need a fleet of them to satisfy our every mood! haha...

Good Morning forum sisters! We were up early today, the coffee's almost gone and breakfast is only a memory. Today we are riding in a procession which winds through miles of city streets. We rode it last year and it was quite impressive...and it's expected to be even larger in number this year. It is the annual kick-off of the Marine Corps Toys For Tots campaign. There will be thousands of motorcycles with police escorts and police barricades at traffic lights. It's amazing the opinion I once had of bikers and their reputations :o , but since I've been riding with Tommy, I've met some of the most wonderful, caring and charitable people on earth. This proud bunch is united across all income levels, races and ages for the comraderie and the love of the ride. The local news always does up a piece on how these folks really turn out especially on this day and dig deep into their pockets and their hearts. :)

It will only be about 64 degrees at ride time, but Tommy says "hey, that's what leather is for". I'll try to get some pics today.

Have a great day gals, however you decide to spend it!!

Two weeks in a row I'm working Sat to cover for someone who needed it off. Now, I don't mind that at all, but would someone please remind me that I'm not as young as I once was - and going out on Friday night till midnight or a tad later, then getting up at 5 am - just doesn't work so well LOL But I'm on break now, and able to come in here and catch up.

Carol, I'm glad I gave a usable suggestion for the cabinet you made - But having a place for tall bottles (of anything) was a problem in my little mh. Now, where is he putting the wine rack? You'll have to take more pictures :) So neat that someone who reads your blog is coming to meet you, also.

Only a week or a little more away from our TX GTG, and I'm so excited. Going to be nice to see some friends I know, and to meet some friends from here I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before. I just love it.

Jill, my sis and bil used to do the Toys for Tots run every year in the Chicago area while they had a bike. And their motorcycle club also did a lot of special requests for motorcade escorts - for all kinds of things - from weddings to funerals. I was in one of the groups they escorted for a wedding, and it really was neat - they stopped traffic at lights so we'd all get through and just made it really a neat processional.

Okies, I want to read more before I go back out to work - next break I might try to take a short nap :) Tonight we're going out to celebrate someone's anniversay - but I can sleep in tomorrow.

Good morning....I'm a slow starter today! Could have something to do with the fact that I stayed up until 2:00 last night and placed our group candle order. Didn't realize how huge it was until I started going through everyone's orders! Seventeen people ordered over $1500 worth of candles. If any of you remember I posted the information about this candle company and it's under Gadgets and Gizmos and I highly recommend them. Quite a few ordered scents that no one has ever ordered before so in about a week it will be fun to receive the order and give all of them the sniff test! We're suppose to get up to 65 today so I'll have to get outside and finish up some fall clean up work. It still hasn't frozen yet so it's hard to clean out some of the flower pots but it's suppose to get down to 23 tomorrow night so might has well bite the bullet get to work.
Have a great day...
