GOOD MORNING ALL!

The above is a copy of Wunderground's temperatures for my favorite locations I have set on there. Loon Lake is the weather station nearest my northern home, and my location is usually even a few degrees colder than what it reads on there. I know that Cedar's temperatures are so very much warmer, for whatever reasons, (probably altitude and Lake Champlain) and that probably nobody believes me when I quote the coldness back at my house! Let me weigh this in my mind-----18 below zero or 67 degrees above zero? Hmmmmm.....that's a toughie! Guess I'll be satisfied for another couple of months right where I am!

I might go look at a couple of truck campers today, if the smoke from the wildfires on the east coast blow in another direction. It's hard for me to breathe ouside when that smoke is as heavy as it has been this morning. I found two possibilites on Craig's List last night, with the help of my son.

I have also been looking at Apple IPad2s this morning, which will come out March 11th, and will now include a built-in Verizon wireless card, the access to which can be purchased monthly without a contract. You can either connect to a hot spot for free, if you are near one, or turn on your own purchased WiFi if you are out of reach of any hot spots. It sounds like a deal, rather than my getting a new laptop down the line. Melissa has an IPad1, and I need to practice using that to make sure I can deal with Apple rather than Windows. She absolutely loves it, and this new 2 model has a battery that keeps a charge for 10 hours. The touch screen is amazing the few times I have tried it. She uses her 1 model with her separately purchased MiFi Verizon thingy, and it would be nice to have this newer model with that all built in.

While waiting for the smoke to dissipate, I guess I will print out maps to those truck campers. Hope you all have a fun day wherever you are!

Good luck with your camper search Soos. I'm with you, I'd stay put, -18 is waaaay to cold to even think about. My DH is going to get the new iPad think I'll wait and see how I like it before I decide. Would love to replace the Macbook I have with something, the keyboard has started erasing or rearranging anything I type in which makes it pretty useless.

I have a full dance card so to speak today, dentist, lunch with friends, coffee with a friend in afternoon and class tonight. Every thing usually happens on the same day. Right now the sun is out so looking like a great day to be out an about. Winnie and I just finished sharing a yummy poached egg fresh from my friends chickens so time to get my ready on and start things in motion.

Curious as to why we now have the advertisements ,anyone know?

I need to listen to what I tell others! I just lost my post because I didn't wait to get the screen that said it posted. Ah, but glad to see you Redetotry!

Soos, this has been a perfect FL winter, yep, it sure has.

I had this place to myself most of yesterday. One other rig came in late yesterday afternoon, and I consider myself still alone, as they aren't out at all. The are French Canadians and speak very little English. I'll enjoy one more day here in this beautiful spot, then head out myself tomorrow.

Hopefully later tonight I'll try to get a couple blog posts done. I just sorted through all my pics and had about 80 or more selected to post, so decided I need to do at least 2 posts. This is a good reason to do things daily. And I even took some out because of duplicate types- but hey, I like them all - so most stayed in. Tonight, when the generator is running I'll see about getting one or both posts done.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning!

I'm moving slow this morning. This wicked sickness that had my husband down for a week is trying to claim me. I am fighting back. Ecchinacia tea this am. I am not sick - but feel it wanting to creep in.

Today is a full one. Hubby will pick me up for coffee at Starbucks in about an hour. It's a local networking group we started, still small. Then back to the house to make calls, then teach fitness class at noon, prepare to teach yoga later this afternoon, then host a celebration dinner for our business partners.

My interest is piqued at the Ipad 2. I haven't looked into it, but the buzz is really good. Not sure it would meet all my needs, but we'll see.

Have a super day! Stay warm.

Good morning Soos, Redetotry, Beth & everyone that follows!

Soos, I hope you find a truck camper that is calling your name!

Redetotry, it sounds like you're going to have a busy day!

Beth, enjoy your last day where you are currently parked. I am looking forward to your new blog entries.

It's cold but sunny in MD. I realize it's only the beginning of March but it seems like the older I get, the colder and longer the winters are here. I'm hoping that this time next year I'll be somewhere in the Florida area enjoying some warmer temperatures.

Enjoy your day and if you're on the road, please be safe.

Morning!
Looks like our rain is giving us a little break at the moment. The wind got really wild at the coast with over 80mph clocked!

Our news is all abuzz because a family returned from India and brought back a case of measles and then went to the hospital ER with him and so the disease is getting spread. Another case has been detected and that kid was at a 7-11 spreading the virus.

I had my eye Dr appt yesterday and ordered my new lenses! Yay!! For the most part my cataract surgery was a success except for one tiny spot where the new lens has adhered to the lining around the lens causing me to see a bit blurry in that area. I'll see how it goes and if it bothers me the Dr said that laser surgery can correct it.

I, too, am interested in the iPad2. I'm not a fan of using WiFi so would get the one with 3G also. I like the fact that the lid can convert to a stand and also a regular keyboard can work with it, too.

Soos, I'm so glad you are enjoying your time in FL. I bet it's been nice being close to family, too. Good luck in choosing your next rig.

Wishing everyone a happy, safe day!

Good Morning from beautiful sunny breezy Florida...
Soos thanks for opening the coffee room!
The owner repair man says I will need a new water heater... wow that will cost some big bucks... I may simply shut it off drain it and wait to see if I can find someone to pull the tank and see what is really wrong... that is if this man is going to charge me an arm and a leg for it...
I am enjoying this beautiful weather... my daughter Margie said when I get home I will hear many horror stories from people about this very hard winter... soooo glad I am here not there...
Have a super day everyone...

Good morning one and all.
Soos, I hope you are taking your son with you to look at the campers. Craigslist is mostly honest but there have been some major problems with some of the people.

Hello Sistahs!

Yeah I know. It's way to later for morning coffee. Well for some people it is. I just finished a cup, does that count??? hehe

Today was pretty good weather wise. Chilly this morning but the sun came out and shined it's little heart out.

Nothing much going on here, same old, same old. Haven't ordered the new toilet yet. We did have the water turned off but turned it back on to fill jugs and do dishes and for whatever reason? The toilet has been behaving itself. So will put it on hold for a little while. Gonna worry about and buy the new tires first. Have been looking online at tires. Boy found a couple of rotten reviews about Goodyear's Marathon RV tires.  And Michelin and I do not get along at all.

BJ, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that maybe the ad is a way to off set the cost of maintaining the forum. Bandwidth does cost. And seeing as how we are all 'campers' here, who better to have an ad from but Camping World. Works for me! :)

Kathleen, before you have the "owner-repair" man do any work on that hotwater heater??? I would get a 2nd opinion!!!! In my mind he (owner/repair) would be kinda like the "only" gas station in town. Ya know, like "last chance for gas" and it's $5.00 per gallon. And 20mls down the road is a station with average priced gas.

So now I'm gonna go check and see what ya'll have been up to. Hope ya had fun in whatever you've done today.
