SUNDAY AND CLOUDY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNDAY AND CLOUDY

Postby Colliemom » Sun Feb 27, 2011 7:05 am

Good Morning Sistahs!

Woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. Had a small bowl of cereal and now a small glass of Ocean Spray Ruby Red. No coffee for this northerner. I've never been a coffee drinker. Just never cared for the taste of it. But if somebody's coming over, I will always make pot. So come on and join me.

Happy to report this morning, that our furry boarder is doing fine. He's just being his doggie self now. Got over his little 24 hours mope or whatever. We went on a long walk yesterday, and he had a ball. Snooping and sniffing and climbing up and down the snowbanks along the road etc. He loves the rawhide rings I have here too. And he no longer needs that quilt "security blanket" as he has found a new bed. MINE! Slept with me last night and probably will from here on out. So we are in business till his "mom" comes home the first weekend of April.

And the weather front is another story too. Driving everybody nuts including the forecasters. That storm that is moving in tonight, is on again, off again for northern MIchigan. The computers and other data keep changing all the time. Now looks like we are out of it here. The freezing rain stuff is going below and the snow line is angling away as well, but another model puts it farther south than that, another says it might move a bit more north and around and around. Just have to wake up on Monday mornng and see what's out there. I'm hoping it goes south although those poor folks in the central part of the state, have had more than their share of storms this winter.

Yesterday I mentioned about the Frost Laws and lo and behold, in yesterday's local paper is the notice to Truckers, that the Weight Restrictions as they are normally called are going into effect in this county on March 3rd. Yeeeessssss. Spring is coming :D

As for me today, I am going to get my act together here and start getting ready to wash my hair and get ready for church. Took a nice warm bath last night. Then will be going out for breakfast with some friends after mass. Run to Gordon Foods for some lettuce and then on home and see what happens from there. Will be a dog walk eventually. Don't know if I will take all three on leash at the same time as Finn likes to run out to the end of his lead and snoop and sniff and wander from side to side and so does Sassy. Tsssa on the other hand does not walk as fast and stays kind of behind me. So I can just picture a tangle of dog leads. May have to walk Finn and take mine later unless we go back in the woods here which I may not do cause we got a little bit of snow and that means snowballs in my two girls paws. We shall see. Also got some edging for my little campsite sign. The sign is done, but needs to have a couple pf coats of Poly put on. And I have to cut and fit the trim and then paint that before I install it. Want to get it done before the weather changes and starts getting nice.

So time to get rolling around here. Have a great day all.

Morning Glories:

Oh, not that picture; here they are:

The other pic is of us gals having lunch in Fort Pierce yesterday. Birdie said the soft-shelled crab was to die for. I wouldn't die for my grilled fresh fish sandwich, but it was excellent too.

And I was just a little late for this morning's sunrise, but you get the picture...just another glorious day in paradise, etc.

Wishing everyone a blessed day.

Good Morning Sue and Liz and everyone else that will come in later... Liz the pictures are so nice... I remember driving school bus and seeing the mist before sunrise every morning... the only thing I miss now... well the money also... but I can't make my old body get up that early... the morning glories are so pretty both pictures of them!!
Sue glad the new fur baby is doing good... now my question is do they all three sleep on the bed? where on earth do you sleep? :o
It will be a hot one here today 85 for the next few days then a drop into the 70s which will be good... it gets nice and cool at night but sleep is not always good for me... will sleep better one day when things settle down again in my shoulder...
I was chatting with my friend Janie last night and it got very late midnight! Shadow got tired of waiting for me so he went to bed about 10:30 poor guy I have him all confused!!
I hope you all have a good Sunday...

Love the sunrise picture Liz,especially since it is cloudy here--still. I was wondering the same as Katheryn, do all three dogs sleep with you Sue!? Bet you sleep warm if they do. I'm still second guessing my decision on the RV, it was exactly what I want except for age and location. I didn't ask but wouldn't think he would want to hold it for me until I could get down there unless I made a commitment to buy. Since I have so many allergies to smells I would have to actually go inside it to see if I could tolerate it.
Semi busy day, church this morning and hopefully a visit from my niece this afternoon for me to do hypnosis for her to loose weight and maybe a bit of shopping. Lots of good sales but unfortunately all the stores here in this 'depressed' area are what they call third rate. Once in awhile at Macy's or Dillard's you'll find something really nice that has been returned from a store in a bigger city. Some of the brands they sell are the same, but the quality is very different. I never even look at the shoes in Macy's they are so bad, Dillard's is a little better. The strange part is the prices aren't any different than when you go to the same stores up in St. Louis, go figure! Oh well, off to begin the day the dogs will be wanting breakfast soon.

good morning ladies
woke up to sunny skies this morning, although it rained during the night, its drying up
quickly. There was no snow in my neighborhood but haven't turned on the news to
check the surrounding metro area. It just didn't feel cold enough last night to believe
the weatherguesser.
Will do a little cleaning in my room today, wanting to re-arrange the whole room but
don't feel I have the energy just yet. Maybe after a pot of coffee  I'll feel like
tackling that chore. I do have to be to work at 1:30 so if I redo my room I don't want
to wait too long to get started.
Coffee is ready and theres blueberry waffles, help yourself.
Have a great day and be safe, I'm off to check my email and other places of interest.

Oh, Liz Thanks for the great photos this AM!

We had an incredibly beautiful day here yesterday. More severe weather forecast for tomorrow. Guess it can't be good every day.

BJ - Sorry the RT didn't work out for you but know you will find one that does.

Nicky has added more to my growing "to do" list. It was warm enough that I had the sliding glass door open for a while yesterday with the screen door closed. Made mistake of calling him (he usually responds slowly but not this time) before opening the screen door. Oh yes, he hit it hard enough to push his nose all the way thru it making a big hole. That is a 4x8 foot panel. Need Soos expertise to replace screen or maybe I can just patch it. Not on todays list however.

Hope you have something fun planned for your day.

Morning!

Coffee tastes good this AM. I woke up at 3 and looked out to see it snowing lightly, then went back to bed after letting the dog out. I see we didn't get much more since then so that's good. Suppose to warm up to near 40 today and then start raining....'buckets' of rain they are saying, so now we'll deal with flooding and mudslides! The passes are to get up to 3FT of snow in a 36 hr period. Janice, I'm not sure your route, but......

Nothing else planned. I keep looking at my carpets and know I need to vacuum, but also know 'tomorrow's another day'. Right?! :P

Liz, thanks for the morning pictures! Loved them!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

YUCK! And more YUCK. It snowed and is still coming down lightly. Almost went on my butt this morning when taking Shade out. :o Had to do some mad grabbing to not go down and land on the concrete! Shade of course flew out the door all excited. Whew! Grabbed the broom and swept off the steps then tried it again. I am not impressed at all. We have a little over 4" of the crap out there! While I love the look of new snow covering all the trees and ugliness. The pristine virginal cleanliness of it? I hate dealing with the stuff. I'm living in what's suppose to be a desert! Where the heck is SPRING!!! ~sigh~ I look at the weather website and see that it's 55f in TN. Vickie had to let me know that at her house it was in the 70's yesterday. grrrrrr Some people? Ya just don't know about!

Don't want to go outside at all. YUCK! But...... I do have to go to the store and pay on the storage room today. Wish the heck I had gotten my boots out of the storage room the last time it snowed like this. One of these days I WILL learn to do something when I think of it and not forget or put it off. Yeah right! Like that's really gonna happen! More likely to totally forget to think at all!!!

Good thing I have a bucket under the leak in the bedroom!! :? Have a regular tiny waterfall in there!! Will be so glad when the weather gets warm enough to seal this blasted roof!!! Tired of buckets, plastic on the ceiling and wet towels!!! :(

Dang what a lot of grumping!!! All in all, believe it or not? I'm in a fairly good mood and I have NO idea why. There must be something wrong with me?!?!

OK, enough moaning, groaning and grumping!!! Hope everyone has a great day, stays safe and is enjoying better weather than I am! ;)

Much love to all

Good afternoon all.

Echo, I'll boast that we also will have temps in the high 60's to about 70. It will be cloudy as we are expecting some T-storms later this evening.

I sleep with 3 of the dogs. Trent will get up on the bed, but as soon as I get under the covers he leaves. When I first got him, he would sleep right next to me and his big sister Sandy, but after turning and pulling the covers as I turned, he went flying. Guess I tugged alittle too hard? :D Happened twice. He learned his lesson.

Liz, nice pic of the three of you.

Take care all and for those traveling, stay safe. Linda

Great picture, Liz! I wish I could have afforded the gas money to fill my turck and drive that down to Blue Cypress Lake for a visit, but I decided to save $$$ and enjpoy my free campsite at my son's! I will meet you all another time, down the road, I am sure----that is, IF the gas prices ever get back to affordable.

Sorry I didn't get up for coffee on here at all yesterday because I sat outside the trailer in the nice morning sun and drank my coffee. I have no internet connectivity at my trailer, so sometimes just don't get on when I am there. I had a super fun weekend there, however, with the kids.

Happy travels!
