BUSY FRIDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BUSY FRIDAY

Postby Colliemom » Fri Jan 28, 2011 7:18 am

Good Morning All,

A busy day today for a lot of us out there. There are supposed to be a number of people leaving from the GTG in FL today, I believe Kathleen is heading to a new park, and I"m going to be heading off to work in about an hour or so. So I suspect that there won't be too much lingering around the coffee pot this morning. It sounds like everyone at the GTG in FL had a great time and I wish them safe travels back to their homes or wherever they are headed.

A little light snow fall here again this morning. So what else is new. The NWS confirred that last Sunday's low temperature of -25 in Gaylord at the airport, broke a record low that was set back in 1963. They also said that there was a rapid temp drop of 20 degrees in an hour when that happened. Skies cleared out and the mercury dropped fast. No kidding. It was -22 here when I pulled out for church So we were definitely below normal. Another shot of cold air is heaidng in tonight and will stick around all next week. But there is hope on the horizon now. They said that this is normally the coldest part of the winter here, and we know that. But by Feb. 12th or so, we will start pulling out of the colder air and back into our normal temp range. So after that it's all uphill from there. Just hang in there for a cople of more weeks they said. No problem.
The sun, when it is out, is already feeling warmer and the days are getting longer, so we are heading back toward spring slow but sure. The temps in the southern states are warming up, so that's a sign too.

It's already got me dreaming of getting back into The Camper and doing some measuring to see what size totes etc. I can store under my bed, behind my sofa and wherever else. I want to reorganize a bit this year. Also a bit of redecorating. Got to find some wallpaper border (wildlife or outdoor themed). Don't need a whole lot, so will keep my eye out. Think I am going to take it to my dealers and have them dewinterize it and check everything out, check my roof seals and all that. It's still under warranty yet, so if anything needs to be fixed by chance, I can get it done. Also think I will linvest in a set of tire pressure monitors as well. I know they are recommended, but I wonder just how many people actually have them. Hmm, might be fodder for another thread. And I'm thinking of making a storage bin set of some kind to put in my truck thats up against the sidewalls and across the front of the bed, to store stuff in so I don't have to keep taking it out every time I get home. Will free up the bed for hauling if I need it but still leave the stuff in there. They do make storage systems for the truck, but with my tonneau cover on, I don't know if the mounting stuff that's needed for it, would allow the storage rack system to be mounted in the bed too. Plus it's probablly pretty expensive as those tool storage sets don'tcome cheap. But there is wasted space when I am loaded up, so it's time to fix that. You know us RVers are always finding ways to fix wasted space. Sso as soon as this next cold spell is done, then I will unzip my cover at the door and go in and start measurng etc. That's the nice thing about the cover. It covers the whole trailer but I can still access it if I want.

Well, time to get the ball rolling here. Have safe travels to those on the road, enjoy your day all.

Good Morning Sue... yes it is moving day for me... I think tomorrow I will simply catch my breath... There are several that will be staying at the park for the continuing ORS GTG... we had our last combined fire last night at Liz's rig... what a great time this has been...
I will finish my coffee and get things put away for my short drive to WalMart before I go to McIntosh for my mail then on to the new RV park Wandering Oaks...
Take care all that are on the road and enjoy your day...
