I merged the two morning threads - in case that confuses anyone (like myself ) You'll figure it out!

Heat wave here - going to hit 40. Was just beautiful walking Peaches a couple hours ago - getting ready to do it again before I leave for work. Didn't get much sleep tho, so will be a zombie at work. Lots of us walking Zombies there. Honeywagon service was here and got my black tank dumped. Grey is too frozen to dump - but important one dumped! I'll see where the grey is tomorrow and just might drive to the dump station. We'll see. Not going to get so cold tonight, and will be warm again tomorrow - so should be able to get that one empty. NOT looking forward to the possible record low temps coming in Sun/Mon/Tues. Brrrrr.

Just got home from dropping off 4 job applications at nearby GC's. Two of them said they are hiring, so we'll see if I hear back from them. It is a gorgeous day today! It is 75 degrees and sunny! Love this weather! Wish I could send some of it to you gals who are cold today! Took some more photos of the fall colors, but I think I will post them on a separate thread.

The sky was a little hazey today because they burned down a house in Escondido just south of me this morning. It was a drug house and was so full of toxic chemicals inside that it was dangerous to even be near it, let alone go inside it. So the authorities burned it to the ground. Some of the smoke has drifted up here and is laying low across the lake. They closed the main freeway from here to San Diego for several hours this morning because of the smoke.

My stomach is growling so must be lunch time!

Barbie, I wondered why your latest pics were foggy looking. Yikes, is that smoke from the fire breathable! You'd think it would be toxic, too.

Soos, so sorry to hear of the young Mom's loss of her baby. The same thing happened to my girlfriend. It was an umbilical cord problem for her baby. Then on top of a holiday, too.

My dog, Choco, is back to his old self today. Not sure what was up the past 2 days, but will keep an eye on it. If it happens again I certainly will take him in to get checked.

Today was my eye Dr appt. for my cataracts. Yep, need surgery on both eyes. Will happen at the end of next month. It will be nice to be able to see clearly again. No one in my family has them, not sure if they are hereditary or not, but I guess if you live long enough everyone gets them, to a degree, sooner or later. I just got them way sooner. It sure will be nice to see the world clearly instead of like I was looking thru cellophane.

We're getting a heat wave here, of sorts. Suppose to be up near 60 in a couple days! Wild! It's pouring rain right now. Started around noon and hasn't let up. I'm sure there will be flooding and/or mudslides from all this.

My 2 youngest GDs are suppose to spend the night tonight. Both parents working. Dad will pick them up early tomorrow to get them back home and to school. Then we do it again tomorrow night. I think we'll do some chocolate dipped Ritz/peanut butter cookies together.

Vickie.....the post is one I picked up from my son's entry and clicked "share"...it is coming through on my fcebook....???? don't know what else to do.....he also posted a map this evening that showed the weather across the US and particularly the snows predicted for the mountains in the NW :=) I brought up the subject of chains....and their requirement on many of the roads up that way this time of year....LOL
