Kdmac, I love the Skagit Valley. The tulip festival time is glorious!! LaConner is a quaint town to browse in. Lots of antique shops etc.

I just hate that she's the one representing AK. Bet it irks a lot of Alaskans, too. She didn't resign because they all love her. And resigning upset some of her backers - they didn't like a quitter.

Unlike Bethers, I like Palin. I LOVE Alaska and will watch the show because she's on it. Sorry all you Palin haters. I love that she's the one representing AK...yadda, yadda...

And Excel, I didn't take your comment about admiring Sarah Palin in a political sense...I took it as admiring her love of Alaska and love of the outdoors...

ALL RIGHT!!! Thanks Mitch. When you posted that screen print for me to see, I saw what was going on. All I had was the IMG link and none of that other stuff. So I went into PB and got all that other link stuff under my picture. So then I was able to "direct link" my photo to Avatar. You are definitely a wiz girl. :) I didn't have Direct link checked on the link options box, that's why it didn't come up. Didn't realize I needed to do that cause I don't do any web work other than this site and ORS and that just needs regular IMG link.

I brought the feral cat to the spay and neuter clinic that I tried to bring on Friday. I didn't know they were closed on Thursday and Friday now so I had to put her in a larger cage for the weekend and get her back in the trap this morning. The lady at the clinic said we must be good. This cat kind of cooperated and we didn't have any trouble getting her to go from the cage to the trap. I think this is the last female thank goodness. No more kittens unless someone drops off more cats.

Had to hang around until 10:00 so I could go to Sam's. I don't have the card that lets you shop early. I'm not giving them more money just to get in early. Every year I debate on paying for another year. I feel like they should be paying me to shop. They do have the cheapest gas around here.

I would probably have watched Sarah Palin's show if I had remembered it was on but I'm not one of her fans. Whatever I watched was so memorable that I have already forgotten what I watched.

Carole, you must be getting the rain that came through here last night. I think it rained all night but we only got 1 inch. My DH has been running sprinklers for 2 weeks trying to get his Rye grass to come up. I don't know why but plants do much better on rain water than when you have to water.

Think I will make Pralines this afternoon. I am going camping this coming weekend near San Antonio and I have to make my friend Sharon's Chocolate Pralines.

Hi Mitch...enjoyed your comment....No, I didn't post to make a 'political' statement about Sarah Palin...This website was designed (I believe) so that we could all share thoughts & connect with others in the women's RV world...As in get togethers, whether it be with family or friends, religion & politics can bring disharmony & arguments...leaving no one happy or satisfied & usually not a benefit to anyone. I don't wish to offend anyone with my posts, however, I don't want to have to be afraid to voice my opinions either as long as I'm not attacking someone else's opinions. So without malice let me state this....I believe in God, I love my family, I love my country with all it's problems, I admire those who try to better the world we live in...I believe in women's rights & would like to see more good women involved in politics, I wish we did more for our soldiers that give so much to this country, I wish there was a cure for cancer & all the other horrible diseases.... I could go on & on...but in the meantime I'll enjoy Sarah Palin & her series that shows her pride of Alaska...as I have never been there & at my age probably never will get to see it in person....this is my best chance & I think she's doing a terrific job...BTW...according to the papers, it was viewed by just under 5 million people & was a top rated series premier in the networks history...that says alot !

And my dislike of Palin in no way reflects on how I feel about anyone else liking the show or liking Palin - just voicing my own likes/dislikes - which we can do hopefully without causing anyone concern that they disagree!

When I was in AK, one of the men from the single's forum met Palin and he was a very avid Palin supporter then (probably still is now). We had some heated debates - never once disliking each other for being on opposite ends of how we feel in this regard. In fact, I made a point of stopping where he was situated for most of the summer another time so we could "go at it" again. Sometimes we'd get heated, then look at each other and laugh - knowing that at least we each were learning something, even if not changing our opinions!

I'm thrilled to see a show about AK - just wish anyone else was the "star". And there are some of you (like Mitch) who will like the show even more because of her.

I think discussion is so healthy as long as it does not get personal... love the comments here...

I also like Palin. To this day I can't understand why people hate her so. All she seemed to do was take the wind from Obama's sail when first introduced, which caused all the outpouring of hate towards her. It's mind boggling how quickly it happened and intense it has become. Ok enough from me. LInda
