CLOUDY SATURDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

CLOUDY SATURDAY

Postby Colliemom » Sat Oct 30, 2010 7:23 am

This is one of those days when it's going to take forever to get daylight. Cloudy and dark. That time of year. This is why winter seems so long to those of us of winter in the north. The days are dark and gray, at least here anyway, so it makes it seem so much longer even if there is no snow on the ground. I love the middle of January on, as the days are getting longer and if the Great akes get iced over enough, it shuts off the lake effect snows and we get a lot of bright sunshine. But hey, it's only 5 months till spring. :) And for those of us on Daylight Saving Time, next weekend is fall back.

Up bright and early this morning. Went to be at 8:30 last night. Tired after a day outside working. Have a load of wash going right now. Am doing my bedding after having Sparky laying on it all week. He's sleeping in there right now, so I haven't pulled the blankets and sheets off yet. Am waiting for his owners to come and pick him up. Don't know when that wlll be. Depends on whether or not the drove home after arriving at midnight downstate, or grabbed a motel room for what was left of the night. They have to readjust to a time change as well. Not to mention the mess they are going to have to clean up when they get back.

Plus numerous twigs, ranches and limbs, blown over chairs etc. Not a great ending to a vacation.

good morning ladies
going to be a busy Saturday for me, laundry of course and groceries and a trip to the bank.
Then its off to La Mesa RV to buy the window garnish for my door glass and then Camping
World for the sealer on the roof. Also planning on making a loop through Apache Junction
to check out the storage yard and meet up with Linda if she's not too busy. Then its more
of the organizing, arranging and packing routine. I have a huge dufflebag suitcase on wheels
that I'll pack with all the stuff I'll need for immediate living to take with me to Rons. Stuff
like chargers and cameras, important papers that I don't want to forget. I'd hate to forget
something and have to make a drive out to the storage yard just to get it, but if I do, I do.
Also have to make a trip over to daughters condo to put the cat inside as she is out of
town for the weekend and being halloween weekend, well, we want the kitty to be safe and
not fall into the hands of evil pranksters.
Ok, coffee is ready and a little toast will fill the empty spot in my tummy. Have a great
day and everyone be safe.
Linda, got your # and I'll call you later on.

Good Morning Sue and Ava and all others who are just waking up... we have a bit of sun and clouds and a small amount of wind... with gusts as always...
Soos must be on the road by now... she will have an adventure and much fun... your friends will have a lot of clean up Sue looks like a bad storm blew through...
Today I will take more things to Bright Hope and put them away... it will take me a while as my mouth is still not feeling well... be glad when this is all finished and I am on my way south... looks like it will be mid to late Nov before I get things all finished up to go...
Take care all and have a cup of warm or hot coffee...

Good-morning !! Sun is out here, so you can really see the frost on everything :) Maggie, thought that stuff, made her feet cold, she was high stepping over the grass.
Thought of Soos, first thing this morning, wondering when she planned to head out. Wishing her well, and hoping she really sees the country as she goes

Ava, it is sooooo good to see you back on here, I have missed you a lot. Hoping all goes well for you. Seems you have really had the brain going to get yourself out of problems, while you were gone. Good for you !!. I need lessons here  :?

What a sad ending to a vacation, I have smaller limbs and leaves galore all over, and they were just cleaned up. These I think came from across the road :) They're still laying out there waiting for me, maybe they'll go back where they came from before I get to them :) Sue, I have really enjoyed all the pix you have been putting on here, thank you.

Well, have a Great day, whatever your plans are. and do it safely,
CArol :)

Looks like we are going to have a beautiful day. It was 42 outside and 72 inside this morning. We didn't put the central unit on heat so it was a little cool last night.

I just propped the storm door open a little so the house cats can come and go. They were chasing each other this morning. It gets a little crazy with 5 of them running. Look out lizards, Possie is out. :D

The new state park near me opened this weekend and they are having music and a seafood cook off today. This place has been 30 years in the making and when it was finally finished the state didn't have the money to open it. The local tourist people wrangled $400,000 to get it open until January and they are trying to raise money to keep it open. When the reservations opened it booked up 96 rv sites and 6 cabins in 45 minutes. Since it is only 30 miles from Lafayette it should do good on the weekends. You can hardly get in the other state park that is near Lafayette. I will probably make it over there and take some pictures.

Good morning!

Woke up to beautiful sunshine here in the Pacific NW. Taking our time getting moving this morning. Did put a load of laundry ~ so nice not having to pay to do laundry for a few days. inThis afternoon we have a football game to go to ~ friend's son is in the playoffs for his league. In the evening we are having dinner with our friends Jim & Mei.

Woke up a little stuffed up ~ sure hope it does not turn into a cold.

Sounds like everyone has a busy day planned. Wishing each of you a blessed day.
