This is one of those days when it's going to take forever to get daylight. Cloudy and dark. That time of year. This is why winter seems so long to those of us of winter in the north. The days are dark and gray, at least here anyway, so it makes it seem so much longer even if there is no snow on the ground. I love the middle of January on, as the days are getting longer and if the Great akes get iced over enough, it shuts off the lake effect snows and we get a lot of bright sunshine. But hey, it's only 5 months till spring. And for those of us on Daylight Saving Time, next weekend is fall back.
Up bright and early this morning. Went to be at 8:30 last night. Tired after a day outside working. Have a load of wash going right now. Am doing my bedding after having Sparky laying on it all week. He's sleeping in there right now, so I haven't pulled the blankets and sheets off yet. Am waiting for his owners to come and pick him up. Don't know when that wlll be. Depends on whether or not the drove home after arriving at midnight downstate, or grabbed a motel room for what was left of the night. They have to readjust to a time change as well. Not to mention the mess they are going to have to clean up when they get back.
Plus numerous twigs, ranches and limbs, blown over chairs etc. Not a great ending to a vacation.
