NOR'EASTER FRIDAY!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

NOR'EASTER FRIDAY!

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

At 8:00 am, it's still very dark out there, due to the thick clouds, rain, winds of this nor-easter we are getting. They are saying we could get some snow overnight----guess I should have covered my woodpiles while the sun was shining! I have hopes for more bright, sunny days left in October, however, after this passes. I will need to bring in some wet wood this morning before I head to town with some more papers to put into my new safe deposit box, pick up prescriptions to take with me, some meds for Molly, too, and a gift certificate and card for the wedding tomorrow. Busy morning here in the rain.

School was great fun yesterday---I so love teaching 2nd graders. They are definitely my favorite age people. If you ever want to remember what humans are really designed to be like, spend a day in a second grade. I love how their minds work, how enthusiastic they are about everything, how absorbent are their brains, how eager they are to learn anything new, how spontaneous and active! I was really impressed by the latest reading program success-----these kids can read very fluently! I was less impressed with their math skills, but they are, after all, just beginners, with lots of room for improvement. No calculators in that school! They taught me much yesterday----I can only hope I taught them a fraction as much! The classes in that school are still as small as elementary classes should be---I had only 15 kids, which is a perfect size. A teacher can spend some one-on-one time with each as needed.

I need to call my house insure-ers now to see if I qualify for a discount due to my alarm system installation. I believe it will give me a break.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's up---I love to read your comments later in the day! Happy Friday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning to All from not quite so cold Elkhart, IN. Last night the little electric heater kept us nice and warm - The Driver set it and told me to keep my hands off it.
And....miracles do happen - when we got up this a.m. and signed on the the Internet with our satellite AOL came up right away. I mentioned in my blog that the satellite was working but couldn't get into AOL - which is what we use for mail, favorites etc. For what ever reason it solved its problem over night. Now we just have to wait for the GPS part thingy.
Went to the RV Museum yesterday. Wasn't as big as I had thought it would be but very interesting. some pictures on the blog.
Especially like the one of the Driver's seat that had to be purchased separate. The town of Elkhart has been hit pretty bad by the economy - lots of RV manufacturers here have closed or scaled back. Satellite guy says times are pretty bad.
There is a Bounder rally going on here in the RV park - 14 of them - This is a very nice RV park - Elkhart Campground if you are ever in the area. Good Internet, big spaces.
Waiting for part we'll be here until at least Tuesday a.m. so guess we'll do some sight seeing around the area.
Safe travels to all.

A beautiful sunny morning here in northern Michigan. Sorry soos, we got the sunshine. But you will get it back. I'm waiting for snow to be in our forcast one of these days too. Anything is possible here in late October.

I'm beling lazy this morning. Kind of tired today, so this is going to be a lay back day. It's past 9:30 a.m. and I'm still in jammies and robe. Decided it was time to seriously make the rounds on my two favortie RV sites and catch up a bit. After lunch I think I will spend some time in my garage, putting stuff where it belongs and getting the camper stuff stored away. Tomorrow I plan to ride up the highway about 40 miles and visit some friends who will be camping up that way. Last trip for them this year.

Got the goodies to bake an apple pie and that's on my list for first of next week. Going to have a cold snap so will be good to be in, bake and apple pie and make a roast with potatoes for dinner one night. Yummmm.

Chilly this morning but GORGEOUS in northern Utah. I rousted myself out of bed this morning to take care of an, ahem, court requirement that I observe a school crossing guard after my inexcusable speeding violation in a school zone last May. My apology to all of my teacher friends.

I showed up and sat and waited for the crossing guard. The appointed time came and went ... no kids, no crossing guard. Then I remembered that this is a school holiday set aside for teachers to get enrichment. It coincidentally coincides with the beginning of the deer hunt.

I voted early on Monday and I need to fulfill this requirement before I head back to St. George.

So, anyway ... I'm up and at 'em. The landscaping guys came by and replaced a broken sprinkler and shut off the water (the valve requires a man's strength -- trust me). I had the swamp cooler shut down earlier this week and will need to winterize the MH after my son takes it on a trip to Zion NP in early November.

Good afternoon Ladies!

Have had a lazy morning here in Clarkston/Lewiston. Woke up at 6:00 this morning to howling wind and a clanging noise. Ron got up and got dressed to check it out - it was the tire carrier banging against the back of the motor home - he fixed it some how and all was quiet so I fell back asleep till almost 9:00. Got up and worked on some emails regarding work, called the unemployment office ~ we have to do an adjustment to the calendar for the hours we worked for the carnival - didn't have enough so they have to go into the next quarter. Know I have enough hours then.

It was windy and cool this morning but the sun is shining now so have opened the door to get some fresh air in here. Will be getting the grand boys this afternoon ~ Brandon & Dananlyn are going away for the weekend. Fun times ahead for us ~ today swimming and tomorrow to the Pumpkin Palooza in Lewiston after watching Max's soccer game ~ no sleeping in for us tomorrow ~ the game is at 8:50 a.m.

Well that's all from here. Ron just made lunch so guess I should go and enjoy it.

Wishing everyone a great day!

Good afternoon!
Another sunny crisp day here in the beautiful PNW!
I had a 10:30 appt for my annual mammogram so that's done for another year. I also stopped at my eye Dr's as there is something behind my left eyelid that's scratching my eyeball every time it moves. The Dr had a hard time trying to turn my eyelid inside out to check the backside as I have next to no eyelashes for him to hang on to do do this. After 6 tries he gave up. I am scheduled to return on Monday to see another Dr. In the meantime I have drops to use for soothing the irritation.
I then picked up some prescriptions and got groceries and came home. I just made an appt for 10AM tomorrow for a 1 hr. massage. I have been wanting one for weeks and can't wait. I didn't even ask the price, don't care! Sorry, GDs as I'm skipping your soccer games. Tomorrow is just for ME.
Carol, glad your satellite system is working a-OK. Thanks again for the tour of the quaint little Indiana town. It's not far from Goshen where my bro in law lives.
Hopeing everyone is enjoying life today!
