FRIGID TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

FRIGID TUESDAY

GOOD MORNING AT 24 DEGREES F.!

Barbzeeee-----I am still looking for you in the mornings! Should I wait longer to post in the kitchen? I would so love to have the table all set and the coffee hot and a pretty picture from you to begin the days!

It was already down to 30 last night by the time I got into bed. I started to stay in the trailer, realized I had a nice warm woodfire in the house , so came back in to sleep inside. Molly was ecstatic, as she has a bed next to the woodstove!

My friend, Kathy's, final diagnosis is in-----She wrote, "It is clinical stage III non-small cell carcinoma of the right lung. The PET scan also picked up something going on with a lymph node just above my heart." So far, she seems to be taking this one day at a time, and will see the thoracic surgeon this morning and the cancer treatment lady this afternoon. I so wish she could talk with our own friend, Sparkle, about what to expect as she begins this battle. Jean, you NEED to stay strong now in your battle, to get able to help others like my friend. If you roll over now and refuse to build your strength back up so you can help, I will REALLY kick you in the butt!! :)

Anyway, my birthmothers' group is pulling together for her, I told her she needs to give the creature that is compromising her body a name so we can all curse it, as we have done with Gilbert. I also told her I would be 'dabbling in witchcraft' to borrow a term from some lady running for some office! One thing I made sure to tell her is that we all will pull together if we can share both the happy times and the weepy times and the angry times and the dancing times with her. There will be no retreating into herself and closed-mouthness----we are going to laugh and cry with her, so we can celebrate together after the battle. There is real strength in many souls pulling together. We in this birthmom group have shared much pathos and much happiness over the 30+ years we have been together, and we know what works!

Ok now---on to other things. The sun is out, the sky is cloudless, an old college dorm suite-mate and classmate of mine called last night and she will visit me October 4th for a few days, I am excited----it's been many years since I saw her up here last when we stayed in my leanto one summer.

I have passed up two possibilites for subbing these past two weeks, and I need to call the school offices and let them know I need to know the night before if I am to work-----this last minute call at pre-dawn times won't cut it for me any more! If there is a real emergency, and they can find no one else, I would consider coming in, but I would like to be a person who knows in advance of an upcoming work date. And that's that.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's up in your world. I will vacuum the cellar today in hopes that the alarm system guy will call me back and come to install my system. I called and left a message yesterday, but got no call back.

Happy Tuesday to us all!

Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Soos ...I'm with you on the need to know the night before for work. I said a little prayer for your friend ;-) It is way too cold for me there this early! I had the windows open all night here. Strangely warm here. I think it only got down to 69 last night.

Had my breakfast of blueberries and bananas topped with Activia, granola, and almonds. Rags said he is ready for our morning walk. Hope we don't get rained on! Will be searching for my paid job in Apache Junction today. My girlfriend, Deb, is coming over for dinner tonight. I hope the weather allows us to cook out.

Have a great day, girls!

Good Morning on this almost (2 days left) first day of Autumn mother nature has turned on the heat... but can smell fall in the evenings...
I tried for tickets to the Oprah show and put in the wrong date and when I went back the system locked me out! guess you are not allowed to make a mistake there... oh well nothing ventured nothing gained... would have loved to go see a show with my daughter Margie... a few years ago we went to see 'Phantom of the Opera' it was a great night and it was my birthday present...
I think today will be hair cut day... that will cool things down a bit...
I know there is a sneaky mouse somewhere inside my house but he does not eat the bread or get into anything like cereal... I washed the kitchen counters with bleach yesterday do not want its tracks on my food! maybe he goes out in the daytime to the corn fields and eats who knows... Shadow is spooked at times so that is also an indication of one... it's that time of year...
Martha I left you a note on yesterdays board...
Soos I have put your friend Kathy on my prayer list and will pray that she will fight this demon with all her strength... we do not know what tomorrow brings...
I trust you all will have a great day...
Kathleen

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

OH how I WISH it were COOL here! Fall just seems to be just outta reach for us! Still in the 80's during the day and only high 60's at nite. Ug! Someday I will be outta this country! Just hope it's not too late for me!

Still about the same here w/ daddy in the nursing home and mama worrying her head off about the $$ it's gonna cost if we don't get him on a "plan". It kills me to see her spend her whole savings on his nursing home care when he hates it so!

Oh how I pray God will take him home and save him from this misery,, and mama too! This is killing her,, ! I hate it for her and for him too! Just nothing I can do about it. My heart is broken for them both! Old age is such a bunch of crap!

Makes me wanna take better care of myself, tho.. at least this is good for something!

Love you all, sorry to bring it down,, but had to vent!

Now someone say something funny! ! !
