THE DAY BELONGING TO THOR

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

THE DAY BELONGING TO THOR

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Temperature is 51 degrees here this morning, with a heavy, misty rain falling. It's an inside work day, for sure. I am getting tired of inside work, so I may just head north and visit the kids' grandmother for the day. It's also time for me to renew my Sam's Club membersuip, if I choose, and I might do that if I find a good, small, wireless printer there I can use in this trailer. It's a pain not having a printer. I also need to find a wedding present for my friends who are getting married next month. I have no idea what constitutes a good wedding present----any suggestions from the peanut gallery? I hate to give just money, especially as I can't afford a decent amount.

OR....I might just work around the house yet again. I am still looking for my incentive money check that still hasn't shown up. If not here today, I will call that damn company back and holler louder this time in a very not-so-nice manner!

Anyway, I hope things are going well for those of you on the road, heading for GTGs and places to spend the winter this year. Keep your eyes on the road, and NOT on your texting gadgets or phones.

I still have no definitive news about my friend. Kathy's, lung biopsy, and it's weighing on my mind. She is still planning to arrive here Saturday morning, however, as of yesterday's plans, anyway.

As I am running so late today, I need to finish this coffee and get moving. Stop by and tell us about your day. Happy Thorsday!

Hey Soos...who is Thor??

It was really cold in here last night when I got home from work! I wore my sweat pants, t-shirt, a fleece hoodie and socks to bed. Put an electric blanket (on high) on my bed under the comforter, and two heavy blankets! Brrr! But I was cozy all night. I sure hope they turn the heat on this week! Might have to get the fire place going! Need to buy more gel fuel for it.

I didn't feel good last night with lower abdominal cramps and a sour stomach, but that went away after I went to bed and I feel better today, so must have been something I ate yesterday.

I sure wish I was on my way to the AR GTG! Really wanted to go but just couldn't fit it in. We'll have to have one out in CA/AZ this winter.

Hope you all have a safe, dry and fun day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Packing it all in day!!!! Groceries was yesterday, except for what ever I pick up Monday before I drive into the campground  Only one last load of laundry to complete, need to remake the bed in the rig and decide where it store everything and make a decision regarding how many dogs to bring with me and whether or not to leave either Izzy or Stuart at home with their Ma, Blondie. Izzy has proven to be a pretty easy keeper when traveling. Stuart requires I little more exercise and more coast care. His coat is one of the reasons I am thinking of bringing him. After three weeks of not being brushed out I don't really want to think about getting the mats out! :? He does love to travel and explore though.

Need to pay som last minute bills for my step mother and of my own. Need to take her to a doc apt this afternoon and pick up some meds that Walmart didn't have on hand yesterday when I tries to plan ahead and get my scripts refilled. Off to do start the laundry and sort through stuff in the rig. Going to be a good day! Hope to be heading SW from Ohio on Friday. :)

Good Morning it is crispy here also... but will recover fast into the mid 70s... I did not put a blanket on the bed so only had a sheet on... oh I was cold and achy this morning so I put the comforter on and got warm! now have coffee and am contemplating what to do this morning... this afternoon I have my picture taken for the church directory... that should be interesting... wonder if they can shave off about 100 lbs... hmmmm

Shadow is still outside he is enjoying the cool as it will be hot in the sun on the deck later... he is such a baby...

I sure will be thinking of all you ladies heading for ARK this week... how fun that would be... glad you can all go... looks like perfect weather for the GTG...

Travel safe and enjoy...

It's hard to believe that some are having cold weather already and we are still in the 90's. It's the low 90's but still hot.

I have already been to Lafayette to bring 3 cats to the spay and neuter clinic. They might have more business if you didn't have to get there so early. But they are doing the community a great service by offering low cost spaying and neutering. I hope they do a study to see if the number of cats and dogs at the shelters decreases. I finally caught the tom cat that was fighting at the barn. I hope his "attitude adjustment" helps. I may try to trap one of the wild kittens and bring it in the morning when I go to pick up the 3. But that would mean 2 trips to Lafayette tomorrow because on Fridays you bring and pick up the same day.

I need to drag out the weed eater but hate to use that thing because it gets me so dirty. Might do like my DH and use Round-Up. At least I don't broadcast it like he does.

Hmmm, my day belonging to Thor required a trip to the lab for my bi-annual bone density scan. Doesn't take long and hopefully the drugs have been doing what they are supposed to and there isn't any more bone loss.

Weather here has broken and is absolutely gorgeous! Upper 70's this week days and mid 50's nights. If the weather could stay like this year round I'd be one happy camper for sure! ;)

In Norse polytheism, Thor (from Old Norse Þórr) is a hammer-wielding god associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, destruction, fertility, healing, and the protection of mankind.

There ya go----from whence the name of our day, Thursday, comes. I loved to read the old Norse myths back when!
