WARM WEDNESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WARM WEDNESDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Aug 25, 2010 8:04 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I slept late again this morning, after getting up at dawn and letting a mouse go that I had trapped in here----the trailer! I guess I should have kept my mouth closed yesterday when I was bragging about not catching any mice in here! I also had one in the house live-trap yesterday morning. I guess they know there is a cold, dark, long winter coming!

I spent yesterday going over stuff in the house, filling my 6 new transparent bins I bought at Kinneys with things I wish to save and/or take with me when I head to FL. I also re-organized my trailer for about the hundredth time! I know I didn't slow down for even a half hour all day, but I I seem to have so very little to show for the work/organization I did. I also did two loads of laundry, hanging most of it out in the nice sunshine and wind. I suppose I should be happy with whatever gets done, and, as someone said, choose just one or two things to work on each day so as to not get overwhelmed by all the chores. Rain is predicted for today and tomorrow, with a nice, sunny hot weekend to come. I will spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the leanto, so will probably not get on here until the rains come again. I will try to get up here at least once each day to check the mouse traps, however, and, if I can spare the time, I will write a quick hello to all.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know your plans for the day. Happy Wednesday!

Birdie here

Postby retiredhappy » Wed Aug 25, 2010 8:57 am

Birdie has been here for a couple of days and she's heading out this AM to the repair shop to get her Extend-a-stay fixed. We had a great rain storm come thru last night and its cloudy this morning but expected to get hot later. We have a "cold front" coming thru which means it will only be in the high 90's today. Certainly does NOT meet my definition of a "cold" front. Thought my AC had gone out yesterday - quit putting out cold air. Chris, my repair guy, came out and I had shut it off for about 15 minutes and it was working again by the time he got here. He said that since it was 103 yesterday some sensor on my AC had apparently gotten too hot and shut off. So, fingers crossed, everything is fine now.

Leaving here the 10th and will overnight at Carole's while she loads her stuff then we're off for AR Sat morning. Am hoping it cools off some in AR before we get there. I am SO READY for cooler temps. I'm a cold weather baby altho not as cold as it was in Florida last year.

Good Morning... we are having a cool down finally... it will only be 79 today... it is 67 now boy I will welcome the cool with open arms...
I sorted through mail that had gathered up since my daughter was here... I had only checked the important things the rest went into a pile... have no excuse for that after I get this done as my shredded is in the 'office' bedroom... I measured my day bed and it will fit between the two doors (one a closet and the other the entrance) that way I will have the window free also... It seemed so much bigger when there were boxes in there... well maybe I need to simply be glad it is clean...

Physical therapy again this morning... it does not seem to help a great deal... before the sale I had two days with no pain now ugh... this to shall pass... ha ha ha not as bad as all that...

time for another cup of coffee... have safe travels...

Good-morning !! I'm home, got in late evening yesterday, as I came through my hometown, I stopped by my R.V guys and he checked AC, thinks its only my fan, so I'll take it in tomorrow, and he'll get it fixed up for me, I hope. Also needs a new cover, mine has holes, got brittle with age and hail we had last spring did a number on it. Luckily he is replacing two AC's and thought maybe one of the covers would fit mine, if so, will just give it to me. I am sure hoping it all goes as smoothly as he seems to think it will. I sure found out, I can not do without the AC in there. I'm with you Karen, I am a cool natured person. Even last Jan. wasn't that bad for me, getting warmed up from time to time.

Today is clean out some things from R.V. it will probably be gone for a couple of days, as he has to order the fan motor. First has to get it out and find some kind of number on it, its old. Some things can be left in there, as I will want for my trip to ARk. Dirty clothes etc. come out :)

I have set here long enough, trying to catch up on this thread have no idea what is happening on other threads here. Have to come back to it later, getting late in the morning, and warmer outside. Have done several chores, and loads more to go.  One reason, would have just loved going on with LIz, just too much to do here and I have gotten lazy or discouraged, take your pick

Beth, hope your ankle is better. You don't need that. Kathleen, glad your sale went well. I'm so sorry, you are having such a time with pain in your shoulder. Hope it passes on by soon. Linda, so glad to hear you got some money, finally. Soos, you are plumb wearing me out, with all you keep doing each day. Want to come visit and continue doing all that here

Have a Great day, stay safe, cool, dry, whatever it takes wherever you are.

Morning all!
As it's getting pretty cool at night I thought I'd better check my mousetrap under my kitchen sink, and sure enough I had a visitor. Flushed him and reset the trap.

Will mow the lawn today. It's been growing like crazy this summer and looks the best I've ever seen it.

This afternoon I have two inspectors coming by concerning my new heat pump. One from the city to make sure it got installed properly, mainly the electric part, I guess. Then Trane is sending someone for a walkthrough with me and to make sure their installers did their job and also to check that it's all running as it should. Then the salesman from Trane is stopping by tomorrow for his part (not sure what that will be). So I'm pretty much a prisoner to my home the next few days as they don't set up appointments. Just say either morning or afternoon we'll be there. ;)
Overall I'm so happy I got the heat pump put in even though we've not had a very warm summer, we did get a few hot days and I appreciated having a cool home.

Stopped by the new eye Dr in town and set up an appointment. I had been going to Lenscrafters at the mall but am not happy with them after my last appt. I also looked thru the frames at the new Dr's as I have a hard time finding one that fits my face with my super high cheekbones and close set eyes. I found one that will do so had them set it aside for me for when I come in on Sept 3rd for my exam etc. I know my insurance will pay for the exam but this isn't the year for replacing lenses so will have to pay out of pocket for that.

Wishing all not feeling well a speedy recovery, and those needing RV repairs to be done quickly.

Afternoon all. Have been totally enjoying the cooler temps and less humidity. Going to be around 87 today and sunny. I will keep this weather for a few more days and then send in on to the AR GTG, this way it will be in the mid 80's and comfortable during the day and the upper 50's at night. (My contribution to the GTG. :D ) Getting a few ore chores done around here, otherwise not much else going on.

To those traveling, drive safely. inda
