Couldn't believe there isn't anyone putting out morning goodies today. So - you all sleep in today?

Me, I'm just being a bum today. Hope everyone has a good day - where ever you are and whatever you're doing.

Yesterday was a quiet day too! I have been up for about an hour and a half but am just now getting on here to check on things.

Not much happening here with me today. Ron had to be at the lot at 8:00 this morning. I go in to ready the ticket box after lunch. Probably will only work for an hour or so.

The weather here is dry right now. The sun keeps going behind the clouds but the rain is holding off for now. Supposed to rain on/off all week. Not the best carnival weather. Heard that the carnival is usually pretty quiet here on Ft. Lewis. I sure hope that is not the case as slow carnival days makes for long days.

Don't know much else so will get off here for now. Hope everyone has a great day.

I was up at 0530 this morning, took a shower, did a few things around the house, took Chewy for her pack walk, had breakfast, and headed off to the gym for some torture. Think all of the trainers had a lot of chocolate over the w/e, all classes this week have been kick-butt. BF's on the way over to wall up the window in the garage so when I'm out of town I don't stress about someone breaking in and taking any of my toys. Hope everyone has a great day, it's finally sunny and warm here in SoCal after a few days of cold, wet, windy weather. No goodies, not on the diet, but more than willing to share my Go Lean Cereal with you! Be a bum, Beth, it's good for the soul! Hope everyone has a great day!

The weather forecast served up some severe T-storms for breakfast this AM. My old gal decided to be a lap dog, all 64 pounds. She was so scared, her teeth were chattering. She stayed in my lap and finally fell asleep. I had two others flanking her and shivering. Didn't have the heart to tell them that more T-storms are expected this PM and tomorrow. We should be done with them for a while after that. I am getting escorted to any room I go into and "helped" when doing any chore. Decided to stop doing chores and visit here and cuddle some more.

Anyone driving in this area, please be careful. Linda

My little Kiwi dog got the stitches out today ... and her face looks normal except for her permanent "wink."

I started my volunteer gig at the state park last week ... and I'm just packing up to head back. I'm SO glad I replaced my carpet with wood laminate floors in the MH. Bandit continues to "spill" once or twice a day (or more ... depending on the day). Paper towels beat carpet scrubbing hands down.

Oh, and his, uh, contribution is the best indicator of whether my rig is level.

I slept in a little bit this morning, but then got up and headed back to the MN Landscape Arboretum. When I was there on Sunday, I forgot my camera, so I went back this morning with my new camera to try it out. I took over 200 pictures! It is a beautiful day today, sunny, light breeze and 78 degrees! Everything is in full bloom right now, especially the azaleas! And there are hundreds of azalea plants, bushes and trees in many, many different gorgeous colors! I was there for about 4 hours. One thing I discovered about my new camera is that it goes thru batteries very quickly! Luckily, I brought extras with me just in case and ended up using them. At one point a Canadian goose family walked right up to me and was within 6 feet of me with their 5 little babies in tow, and my batteries went dead! By the time I switched batteries they had moved on and were swimming in the pond. I did get some shots of them there, but still was mad I missed an opportunity! There were lots of new things there that I haven't seen before so that was fun! One was a maze made from bushes, trees and bamboo walls. This place is just a couple miles from where I work (I will be driving past it every day) so hopefully I will get to visit often this summer. I might buy a membership so I don't have to pay each time. I will have to go thru all the photos and upload them all into photobucket and try to pick and choose which ones to put on here. That's gonna be tough!

I just did a woodtick check and didn't find any this time, luckily! Now I have to do laundry and sort thru my clothes and get rid of a bunch of stuff and pack up my winter things (hopefully never needed again!). Next project will be to go thru my multitude of books. Those will be tough to part with but can't take them all with me! I have a major addiction to books!

Hope you gals all have a good day today too!

HI all!

What the heck happened to my morning post???? I KNOW I sent one! Oh well----maybe I only thought I sent one! I made a copy of it, so here it is now!-----Thanks, Beth, for waking everyone up!!

(Both assemblies were good, and the kids were polite, attentive, and perhaps learned something. The one I couldn't think of was by a guy whose last name is Roberts who is a vice president of Sony Entertainment Company. He was an inspirational speaker with a great presentation who captured the interest of the kids very well. Saranac Lake High School graduate millionaire, who has a family home not too far from me, where his family has lived for generations. He was a good speaker, too. His home is now in CA, but he made the point that he still loves returning here to relax and get grounded and re-rooted when life in the fast lane becomes overwhelming. His message----"Have a dream, make a plan, make it happen.")

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's actually WARM outside today----45 degrees! Molly and I slept in the old trailer last night after I got a comfy bed all fixed up in there and ran a long extension cord out so I could have TV. I can only get our 3 PBS channels over the air with an inside antenna, as they are the only digital channels strong enough to make it this far from their tower about 40 miles, or more, away. I tried to aim my portable satellite dish, but got tired and impatient trying to set up the receiver out there, and gave up. Now I just hope I haven't disturbed the settings on that receiver that work when I connect it to my regular dish for the new trailer. I hate setting those things up all over again.

We have a day of assemblies at school, in between a few classes and lunches. One is about bullying and another is some other topic I can't remember for the life of me. We go from having no assemblies to having 3 within a two week span----what's with that?

Today is my Fossamax day morning, so it's been cold water so far and then a half hour wait for a nice hot cup of coffee. Two things about this drug drive me crazy----one is the impossible packaging it comes it, encapsulated in those impenetrable plastic bubbles with with a little tab you are suppose to be able to rip off that NEVER works, so I have to find scissors and cut it free. (I feel like stabbing the entire package or taking a machete to it!) And secondly is the nasty cold water first thing in the morning which makes me shiver for the half-hour wait. ACK!!!

Weather report is still good, I believe. I got a message on my phone last night that my trailer is ready to be picked up, so Friday I will go bring it home again. We have that day off for an unused snow day, making us a 3-day weekend! YAY!

Time to read my email now while I am waiting for coffee, but for those of you others, it is freshly made and ready to sip! Hope you all have a good day today.

My insurance won't cover the cost of that one! Believe me, I have checked! So I will just grit my teeth and keep my machete handy for each Wednesday!

When I had my prescription - my doctor wanted me on the weekly over the monthly - I forget exactly why. Something about the monthly wasn't as good - in his opinion - at one type of bone loss, which I was showing. I went along with it. Who really knows.

I've gone off on my own because of the problems they are all showing now. Will go on again, but am taking a break. I guess now they think the body needs a break from taking them for too long - and while they keep the bones stronger, studies are showing that isn't necessarily stopping them from breaking. go figure! I do believe it's helped me though - just going to watch where the studies go next.
