Thursday - I'm on first?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday - I'm on first?

Postby Sparkle » Thu Mar 11, 2010 9:49 am

Can't believe it! Anyway, beautiful sunny day, though not so warm as we would like it. Today I'm going to go for the Cat Scan. Beth is going with me to keep me company, and as I found out last night on Google I'll be injected with a contrast dye, so who knows what affect that will have on me. She may be driving home. None of you are getting breakfast this morning as I have to fast - so there!

You could take Belle with you, too. She'd charm all those doctors and nurses. Or they'd think you're completely bonkers.

Morning...just checking in before we head out to Kodie's OT and PT appts.

Things are going great. The trailer will be headed in soon to get it annual inspection and maintenance completed and the window fixed.
Then we will be ready for the camping season. I have 2 of the 3 reservations completed for the big trip. Had to change to a different park for the Silverwood part. Silverwood Theme Park has it own campground, but they did not have consecutive sites...so we would have to move each day. I hate doing that..so I opted to search around and I found a nice little park about 7 miles away.

I left a message at the last one..so hopefully they call back soon.

The weather is windy and wet. Looks like winter is showing up.

Mitch, I was thinking the same thing after all I was injected with for back to back procedures.
THe nurses told me to drink allot of water after the procedure to flush out as much dye as possible as it's hard on the liver. So water, water, water!!
You are on our hearts today. Let us know asap if you get any results. Or at least give Beth permission to relay how you are.

Good luck, Sparkle. I had the procedure last fall, and it felt like a momentary warmth spread through my body. No big deal.

I'm well enough now to start getting antsy. I was rearranging furniture yesterday ... that tells you how much I want a change in scenery. I had been thinking about going to New Mexico to do a "Tony Hillerman Tour," visiting all those landmarks and places he talks about in his Navajo nation murder mysteries. Today on the weather map this morning it was snowing there.

Thought I would check in before morning had passed.

Sparkle ~ hope things go well for you today. I too have had the contrast dye CT scan before. Felt a little funny going in but no side effects from it. Please let us know how you are doing.

It has been raining and windy here today. The wind blew so hard last night it moved our satelite dish so we lost TV. Ron is still fighting his cold and doesn't feel like climbing on top of the rig to readjust it. He is snugged under a blanket read a book and I am sitting here wasting time on the computer ~ at least its a fun way to waste time. I am sure before the afternoon is over he will be up there readjusting the dish so we can watch TV tonight. We have decided to cancel our Direct TV services while we are working/traveling with the carnival. I am sure we can find things to do on our off time. May have to find some used book stores to get more books to read but that will be okay.

Today on my list of things to do is to print up some letterhead for the church ~ Pastor Charles likes how I have designed the letterhead and so he bought some paper so I can make him up some sheets for while we are gone. Our church does not have a color printer so I do it from home. I will also be making him some more business cards before we leave. That is on the agenda for one day next week. Can't rush into things now can I?

I am also going to do some straightening out here in the motor home. I am always so amazed how it can get so cluttered up so quickly.

That's all from here for now. Wishing everyone a blessed day.
