Good morning, good morning, good morning everyone
I can see its gonna be a long week, its only Tuesday and I'm looking forward
to the end of this year!
I've been up for quite a long time, on my third cup of coffee already.
Weatherman says possible showers today so guess I won't get anything done
outside again.
I have no stories for ya today, just gonna go read up on new posts and see
whats happening.
Have a great day and be safe.

Another day another doc visit with the step mother....I hope she stays healthy through to Feb. I don't want my SIL to have to take off work to drive her to doc visits...She is talking about visiting the Cardio doc to ask him if she can discontinue her heart meds, because as she has noted she isn't having any of those problems now and it gives her "dry" mouth. Hey, lady, how about, you can breath and you don't have fluid retention about your lungs and heart because you are taking the medicine  You could put her medical sense in a thimble. It is too cold here...all I want to do is turn on a space heater and hunker down under a blankie....If it will just warm up a little , sure would help with the packing and shopping needed to get ready to travel SOUTH.... :D Pups are full of energy, too cold to play outside......
Maybe a cup of that good tea sitting over there will start my internal heater......I am trying to avoid all the goodies sitting out.....not good at ignoring......

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Dang I'm really looking forward to getting out of TN and finding some warmer weather! Never got over 32f yesterday here. I was cold and shivery all day. Today it's suppose to get to the mid 40's so maybe I'll be a little warmer? brrrrrrrrr I think I want to go to the tropics! Maybe I'll look for a hidey hole and stow away on Carol's and the 'Drivers' next trip to Mexico??? ;)

Got Kelly's sewing machine out yesterday. Should have seen me trying to figure it out for the first time. The directions for threading it were less than helpful and Kelly said it's been over 2yrs since she used it. So it was almost a case of the blind teaching the blind. But between the 2 of us we got it figured out. Well for the most part..... still need to figure out how to fill a bobbin. I'm gonna play with it and try to attempt to sew me a fleece hat before I try to sew up anything important. I did get the ragged edges trimmed and the satin edging all pinned on Connors one blanket. And got all the blocks for the fleece quilt matched and pinned. Today I will cut the border and fit the backing. Have no idea what might be on the agenda today? Will have to wait and see what transpires. ;)

Poor Connor got his first series of baby shots yesterday. Jenny said he was in such a good mood and smiling at the nurses. Then they gave him his shot! Poor little guy. She said he screamed and screamed, finally got him calmed down, fed him and he went to sleep for a few hours. That all went to he77 when he woke up from his nap. Said he fussed, cried and screamed for hours even with giving him baby Tylenol every 4hrs. Oh how I remember that from Kelly's first shots. OMG!!

Hope ya'll have a great day, stay warm or cool which ever the case may be. And of course remember to be safe in all that you do.

Love to all

Good Morning to All - Here we are in cool and very rainy Mazatlan. Started to rain last night and hasn't stopped yet.
And the people here told us "it never rains here in December" Oh well it is better than snow. At home in Indiana it is 12 degrees out today with snow forecast. Hope it cleans some of the dust off the poor plants.
This campground has quite a few people in it in the front part - Mostly Canadians who come here every year. Only about 4 US rigs here.
Echo - just jump in the car and drive down - there are lots of nice inexpensive hotels in Mexico and food is cheap.
Hope everyone has a good and fruitful day.

..

All this talk of warmer weather got me thinking - how difficult is it to get your pooch into Mexico?
No quarantine period?

For Canada, all I needed was proof of current rabies vaccination.

We have proof of shots and so far nobody has asked for it. the only thing we have been asked for so far is proof of Mexcian Insurance. The funny thing is though, I was told that it is harder to get a Chihuahua back into the States, even though you went into Mexico with one. don't know if this is just a tale (tail) or not.

Another late reply... I work two jobs so I don't get a chance to get on here until night time.

I went to Steve's sister's funeral this afternoon (between jobs). It was short and sweet, but sad. Yesterday, they found letters she had written to everyone in her family months ago before she had her kidney transplant, knowing she might not survive. The minister read one of the letters and it was very moving. She was a very brave woman.

On my way to the funeral, I saw a flock (?) of wild turkeys by the side of the road, and a couple of them flew over my car! I have never seen a turkey fly! They look just like fat pheasants when flying!

Hope everyone had a good day. It is getting colder up here already. The high on Friday is 6 above.

Barbie
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

What a strange day you had. Work, a funeral and turkeys. Hope today is better in every way and for Steve especially.
