Saturday and it's snowing (now w/pics)

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Good grief it's snowing! :o  Dang weather page didn't say a thing about the possibility of snow. It's coming down pretty good out there and sticking to the ground. People around here scare the crap out of me when it snows. Unless their transplants like me they have no idea how to handle the snow. I wonder how many places are closed or will close because of it. They get an inch of snow here and freak out. Sure does look pretty out there tho. I think I will grab Kelly's camera and see if I can figure out how to take a picture. Really have no idea how the thing works? I do remember how to turn it on tho! If I can get a picture or two I will see about posting one of them later.

Took Shade out to do her morning thing, skidded down the little ramp from the door and almost went azz over heels. Would have for sure been a ruder awakening that what I did have. Sat out in the carport waiting on Shade and right behind me on the hill I hear, "BANG, BANG"!!!!! About scared me to death! David's buddy came over last night and spent the night on the couch. I didn't know why? Didn't know if he and his wife had squabbled or if he was gonna go hunting. But he and David and both trucks were gone when I came stumbling out at 7am, David to work and the buddy??? Well I guess I now know that he was hunting! Within a few minutes he came pulling back into the driveway and said he had laid a doe down right up the hill behind the house. He put on his orange vest and up the hill he walked. ?? Dummy should have had that vest on in the first place as he was all dressed in camo. While I was back in the house I heard his truck start and leave. So never did confirm the doe.

Coffee is ready for whoever wants a cup. Made up a little bigger pot than I usually do cause I thought the guys might want some. HA! Now I have extra to go around. Toast, peanut butter and jelly on the table this morning. Might make some Oatmeal in a little bit if your interested.

Hope everyone has a great day, stay warm or cool which ever the need may be. And of course stay safe!!!!

Love to all

Good Morning, good morning
Cold out this moring, but I'm up and rested and ready to tackle the day. Soon as
I get enough coffee in me that is. Have a 10 appt to meet with the manager at
the rv park I've decided to move into, pick my spot out of the many vacancies
and put down a deposit. I spent a lot of my lunch breaks during the week checking
out other parks, but my original plan still sticks. The place is called Winter Cove.
Once my space is reserved I can formulate the plan to get my shed moved. Thats
the tricky one. The shed is small, 6 x 7, and it will fit inside a uhaul box truck,
the trucks rent for $20 a day. Thats doable. The rest of the truck, I can fill with
my stuff from the patio and whats inside the shed. Will visit uhaul down the
street this afternoon.
Will spend the rest of today doing up laundry, cleaning spots on the carpet, (thats
another story, and not a good one) more on that later.
Coffee is ready, no time for breakfast so your on your own there. Enjoy your day
and be safe.

It's not snowing here in the desert, but the temperature is down to 33 degrees this morning. Possibility of heavy rain on Monday. I'm still glad to be here instead of Coffeyville, Kansas, though.

Not sure what today will hold other than bundling up in a few minutes for a long walk to see the sunrise over the mountains. There's a Christmas parade in town tonight, so that should be fun.

Finishing touches on planning for Baja, weeding out everything in this rig and my pickup that I don't need to carry around. The pickup is going to live up at the Desert View Tower for two months while we're gone, but I'd like to cut down on stuff going into Baja as much as possible. Money is going to be tight (as usual  ) but I'd much rather it be tight where things are warmer and more inexpensive than here. Can't believe the price of things here in Blythe. I mean, $6.99 for a small, 1 1/2 quart container of ice cream and $3.15/gallon for regular gas. Over the border in Quartzsite, only 20 miles away, gas is around $2.75. Hate to say it, but I really believe stores here (Albertsons, Rite-Aid, and K-Mart) are gouging the large Hispanic population as I've never seen such high prices. Newver thought I'd say this, but I miss Wal-Mart. I'm making a list and checking it out for when I move down to Brawley/El Centro area the end of next week and can visit Wally again. :D

Stay warm, people.

Good morning all - its cooler here in MX too - but not that cool.
The Driver is out hooking up Willie and we will soon be on the road - only going about 100 miles to San Carlos for a day or two.
For any of you who read Ms Tioga and George - we are the yellow dot #10144 just above him on the datastorm map. Eventually we hope to meet him somewhere here. in MX.
Best get Jennie ready to go.

Carol,
Good luck if you meet TG - as even he admits most people don't like him if they meet him - and someone just recently came by and he refused to talk to him. He might have useful information on his blog, but I simply don't like the man, and I've never met him :)

We drove right past when he was on the side of the road - but the tow truck was already there - much earlier than he claims in the blog - and he could have easily gotten help sooner by simply walking about 2 blocks down the road - as he was right next to a custom's check. But, no, he had to go online and get help via people reading the blog. Weird man. Sparkle reads his blog regularly, therefore I'm up-to-date on him, as you can see. But I recognized his rv immediately when we passed, with the tow truck in front of him.
