So they call this Tuesday...and yes, it is Morning too !...A Warm morning ..it's already 76 degrees.. Opened that door to let the critters 4 go out.. and oh my... it's gonna be another scorcher... Was yesterday.. the hottest day of the Summer.. in fact should know better.. it's August.. isn't that what they call the Dog Days ...mmmmm oh yeah your feet go barkin as ya step outside...So..that means the air is on high and I is staying inside.....pull the Crock pot out.. cause don't wanna warm up the kitchen..and of course I have a few things I need to catch up on.. and speaking of catching up on.. let's check the forum and see what's happening...

Vickie thanks for the update on our Beth...I couldn't get into her page yesterday..but boy when I did later on.. holy hannah.. don't think I'd wanna stick my hand out to pet..uh not me ! and did ya all see how close that was.. I mean..even looking in from the front window..HELLO THERE MOMMA !

Beth I'm sure Peaches must have been barkin.. cause I know mine would have been wild..and Me.. well.. I don't think I would have been that calm either.. however..I'd a put my baby on slow motion..Yikes..slowly I drive down the road..Go away dear Bearie..LOL but awesome lookin they is !!!..Gosh Beth you could almost see the Twinkle in it's eye.. ooooooh and the darn thing pooped..hahahahaha..maybe he or she.. wanted to use the potty..inside..:)

Vickie on that show Great American Road Trip.. saw it the first time.. and then not for me.. I don't do well with all that whining.. I wanna open the door and let them out..drive quickly away...LOL Was really hoping it would be more like real world what we have all gone or are going through.. the comedy of errors.. LOL so fresh in my mind some days.. and the neat places to see... oh well...

Almost There.. (Lenora) asks about the Jane Austen Book movie.. and like Birdbybird.(Tina) I'll catch it on Netflix too.. in fact Cedar was the one that got me started on NetFlix.. and ya know I'm now also streaming movies to my computer via NetFlix... cut out a lot of my cable bill... works for us...and love the movies..don't have to go out and pick them up.. they get delivered ..have to say.. the Mailman does a great job :)

RetiredHappy (Karen) your Caravan is still growing.. Cnanago (Micheline) is interested in part of the trip.. now the search is on to find you a Co pilot... Heck I sure wish I could go.. I'd love it.. but heck I'm on the East coast already.. you'd have to drive across country to pick me up.. LOL... but I'm gonna be getting.. New Knees.. goodness sounds like I'm going shopping hahahahaha.. anyway Karen.. ya never know .. I mean things change and it can be in the happening !!!!

NaSoosie (Soos) is getting ready for her big GTG this coming weekend.. and yep read that Lizzie and Carolinagal (Carol ) will be there too along with Cedar and some of the other ORS members.. Now ya gotta remember we need Pictures.. cause although you describe things.. we need ta see.. You know like that Bluegrass Festival.. one shot deal LOL hint hint hint..

Oh Cedar.. yoooo hoooo...liked how you both parked at the festival... that's how my friends and I would park at the dog shows..and in the evening.. we could just group our cooking together and feast....it gives you that hommie type feeling..ofcourse we only saw the ONE picture...ya got any more ???????

Avalen (Ava) yes has a "new" toy.. LOL and of course Mitch chimmed right in.. Ya know Mitch I get my bread from New York.. of course via my family.. I love my Panini machine..heck grew up with it.. oh and the Laughing cow cheese..oh yeah even put that in a chicken breast and bake in oven.. Ava.. you is gonna love it.. my favorite of all times is toasted cheese and tomato..can't go wrong..

Mitch somethin tells me there might be a plan to visit your resort :) uh huh.. mines are workin.. and by the looks of it.. most of us are use to boondockin... no big deal... Heads up on this one Sistah's..:)...

Another well, "Newbie" not so new.. I mean she's been with us awhile just got to posting.. and then she hits us with..I'm a long time friend of Sparkles'...HA ! Now you know we are all anxious to hear from MrsSissy..Welcome.. and hey... don't sweat the paragraphs.. the lines can run all together.. don't matter.. just spill the "beans"... in other words.. Tell US ALL !!! but then again those that have known Sparkle.. nothing is surprising.. hahahahaha... Oh yeah !!! so now we will
officially welcome in... Mrs Sissy .... Greetings.. !!! ....

Alrighty it's that time I get my Coffee Pot Perkin' and that Kettle Whistlin' yeppers.. I'm in need of the caffine fix.. and Oh I have cold OJ and Cola.. oooooooh yeah... Lots of goodies on the table.. New York Style Crumb Cake.. Donut Holes.. Cinnamon Raisin Bagels..Biscotti..oh and last but not least.. Apple Turnovers..oooooooh they are just coming out of the oven too...okie dokie..folks.. grab a chair sit a spell.. and let it rip.. I mean.. just let's hear what's happening in your area..are you planning anything ???

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey Always Always be Safe...

OK,.OK,... I hear ya Zeeee.... I'll put up a couple more!

Good morning everyone,..... overcast here,... rained during night. but still warm. that's nice at least as we've been having a very cool summer ... (summer?????) here in the northeast.

I have a busy day today,.. I'm working noon-7 p.m. at the 4-H bldg at the county fair. They asked me to judge some of the kids exhibits. I'm doing the Cloverbuds kids,... that's the youngest members and they all get a ribbon. So it's mainly just chat with them, encourage them and give them a multi-colored ribbon sticker. No first prize, second prize at that age, ..everyone is a winner. I like that. Should be fun, I've never done that before. My daughter hooked me into it. she's a 4-H leader.

So it will be puttering around this a.m. and then gone for most of the day,... hope you all have a great day!

Good morning, everyone!

Looks like it's going to be a nice and hot/humid day here in NW TN! (oh, like I'm surprised!)

It's the final countdown for the arrival of The Sisterhood - the annual Blue Marlin get-together of a bunch of good friends (no men allowed, except George, who pretends to be our 27-year-old naked pool boy - well, except for the naked part, and the 27-years old part, oh, and he doesn't serve us drinks or clean the pool...)

We'll be two short this year - one woman's mother died Friday (she was 90 or so), and my best friend ever (for 37+ years), who died this past January 3 at age 52. (wow - here come the tears - I guess I still can't even mention it in the written word yet...). And two of the ones coming are on new meds that don't allow drinking...color this gathering subdued!

But there will be no shortage of giggles, that's for sure. Final touches on the menu this morning. This afternoon, make the pizza dough (a new pizza will be tried this year - BLT pizza - sounds WONDERFUL! Just heard about it over on RV.NET), make a couple of batches of homemade mayo with my newly obtained (yesterday) stick blender, prep some of the veggies...shopping tomorrow morning. Final touches on the cleaning and then sit down, take a deep breath, give George some last minute attention (which will be in short supply during The Sisterhood Weekend, but just by me - not the girls - they love George) and wait for their arrival!!

Poor George - us girls kinda just take over the entire house, even his den. So this year - I'm going to make him sleep in the trailer, which is currently sitting in the driveway! He'll have his own satellite television, potty, and a fridge for his insulin...no yackin' women, no hub-bub/girlie chaos. What more could a man ask for? (well, maybe a 22-year old stripper, but that's another story.)

Hope everyone travels safe and has a fun Summer Day!

GOOD MORNING BARB AND EVERYONE!!!

We had a few thunderstorms overnight, but none got right overhead, for which I am very thankful and so is Molly---neither of us likes lightning. It's overcast, warm at 66 degrees, with possible showers again today. The weekend is predicted to be BEAUTIFUL weather, and I am praying it comes true! It would be fun to have the GTG in the sun.

My friend Laura's father is hospitalized after suffering another mini-stroke. She called to ask if she could stay overnight with me again last night, but then called back to say her father was having trouble breathing, too, and was scared to be alone. So Laura stayed with him last night in the Saranac Lake Hospital. I sure do hope he is feeling better this morning. I'm also very glad he didn't get sick while we were at the bluegrass festival, as it would have been a tear to get her back here to be with him. He is such a nice man, and has just lost his wife of over 65 years...his wish is to join her, and he well may do just that. Laura is trying to remind him how much he is needed by his 8 children and myriads of grandkids and great grandkids. Things like this make being laid up for a month with broken ribs a piece of cake.

I will spend today waiting for old friends of mine to come for supper and stay overnight, and, if possible, maybe I can get them to stay for one more night, if the weather holds out When our kids were young, we spent many fun times together, especially during Winter Carnival, when their home, which was right in the middle of the carnival route, was a comforting place to get warm and stuff our bellies with good homemade food! I have good steak to cook out tonight, and local corn which I will serve with rice of some sort.

Tomorrow I will do my last-minute shopping and setting up of stuff, although I got a ton done yesterday. I am mostly ready for whatever and whoever comes for my GTG this weekend. I need to clip back a few tree branchesin the driveway, put a prop pole under my wires across the driveway so they will clear the tall rigs, and tie the surveyor's tape on the trees at the end of the driveway to mark the spot!

After a final vacuuming of the house today, I will try to get my bluegrass festival pics posted, I promise! As usual, I didn't get very many as I was too busy to settle down and take them....most of mine were taken at the end after most had already left!

Thanks for the coffee, Barbzee....tastes good! I need to read the other posts and get caught up. Hope you all have a wonderful day, doing whatever is fun. I see some sun trying to peek through the clouds---YIPPEEE!!!

Kennedy family is mourning the loss of Eunice today---what an amazing woman she was.

OH-----for those of you with clear skies tonight, the Perseids meteor shower main night is on. Sure hope it clears for that event, as I can lay out in my lounger in the middle of my field and catch the show! Bet that our own Star-Gazing Susan will be out somewhere watching that.

Happy travels!

We had storms here last night and it did cool off some, thankfully. Winnie headed for the pantry to her 'storm' shelter. Since the really horrible storm in May she is afraid of the storms. Her shelter is only good for awhile, then she wants to be in Mom's lap, but so does her brother and my lap isn't that big. Charley pretty much doesn't mind. It's funny if I'm not here they will go to DH to be held but if I'm home only my lap will do.
I need to catch up on errands I didn't do over the weekend while it was too hot & humid to get out. Still looking at the iPhone, I know I don't need it but that doesn't keep me from wanting!

I hope the weather turns out wonderful for your GTG Soos.

Morning all. A comfortable 68 degrees here in Silver City so far. I keep checking the weather in Kerrville and that makes me want to stay here longer. Was originally going to leave first of Sept but decided to delay until Oct to let the weather cool off some. Well, dogs are prancing for their walk. Have a good day to everyone.

Top of the mornin to all. We are parked here in Grand Junction, CO for 2 nights to rest up from our 2 day trip from Jackson, WY on our way to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison area. The ride was very steep (except along the river area) and we are glad our transmission and brakes held. We are going to need new road brakes and are planning to do this when we arrive in Mountain Home, AR in about 2 weeks. We have 120,000 miles on it-60,000 traveling and 60,000 towing and as you know, the brakes sure get a workout when towing. Weather here is cool in am and hot by the afternoon, so we are off to play tennis while we can. Maybe catch a movie this afternoon???? Need to read the posts and Beth's blog, maybe when I get back. PS-son and family adding a 7th GK to the mix-due in March. carold

It's a steamy 86 here this morning with 40% chance of rain. My glasses fogged up when I went out to get the newspaper.
