Sunday Evening, April 27th

Gee, it’s :47 p.m. here on the east coast and nobody’s around today. Well, guess I will just put in a few cents worth so the dsy gets a post anyway.

Was a beautiful sunny day today. Definitely in the uppe4 60’s. Chiily 29° to start the day, but warmed up fast. Went to Mas, stopped at Meijer for a few things, then came home, had some lunch and headed outside. Did a last pass over the front yard, so that’s done. Just have a little raking to do behind the garage and then will be all done with yard cleanup from both winter and the ice storm. Can just putter with other stuff as I want. I have limbs and branches down in the woods behind me and they will stay there. But there are a few that are sticking up, so will cut them as well as a couple bent saplings down.

Took the dogs for their afternoon walk. We did the road around Heart Lake today. That’s about 2 1/2 miles from home and back. Then a short walk around the neighborhood this evening. Yesterday we went across the highway and walked a road over there, so that’s another couple miles or more, plus a an evening walk as well.So about 5 miles in since yesterday. Onward and upward.

Sue, I should have walked more this morning. It was a good walk but I knew the high today was only to the mid 70's so planned a good afternoon walk. I knew there was to be some wind, but it was so windy I thought it would knock me over. So we only made it to the garbage bins with the bag I brought and back home. It seems to be calming down to we'll try again in a little while.

For some reason my hotspot is refusing to connect to my TV. Today I went in the RV and same thing there. My 2nd phone had hot spot disabled because it's unlimited on the other. But I enabled it on that phone and voila, connects on both TVs. Now the first worked fine in Texas but I've figured it as a phone problem and I do have cable TV here so I'm not going to worry about the limited data I'm going to have for $10/month on the 2nd phone but it'll be great for watching movies and shows on my schedule, etc. And the ones on channels I don't have on cable. I'm glad I found where the problem lies and as frugal as I am, I'll pay the $10 monthly for now.

I think tomorrow I'll get my humidifier going. Probably should have last week. It's dry as a bone in here and it's really easy to do. I have it out and ready and the cold packs to use with it in the freezer, so there was no reason to wait after they were cold.

Judy, I'm waiting to here how you're feeling and if you went to urgent care. Hoping for good news from you!

Thanks for all of your concerns! I had a horrible night with coughing and sneezing very strongly, keeping me awake until 5 am, in spite of taking a musinex with a cough suppressant. Had a bad dream when I did fall asleep about being dizzy and not being able to walk without holding onto a wall. Anyway, I woke up about 9:30 am and did not feel too bad except for a bad headache, a little coughing, and stuffed up ears. Started coughing again, so about 11 am I packed up and drove the 45 miles to St. George. I was careful to find an urgent care facility that was connected to a hospital because I knew from kidney stone experience that some do not have x-ray or cat scan equipment.

Had to stop to get gas, but got there about 1:30 pm, with not too long a wait, and doctor did x-ray and had them give me a breathing treatment. I always carry my most recent lab tests with me, so that showed that I had passed a pulmonary function test last October. Also gave him the test result report showing i had weak immune system.

Anyway, I was really tired and ears still blocked, but he said my lungs showed some bronchitis, but no pneumonia, which was good to hear. He ended up giving me a prescription for prednisone to calm my lungs down, and also a prescription for an albuterol inhaler, which I was out of because I had not used it in a long time. Said to come back on Wednesday if I was not better. Took my first prednisone tablet and used inhaler, and feel a little better with a little less coughing. I picked up my prescriptions and also some slightly bigger pads--the ones I had were tiny and really for just minor leaks, but my coughing has really been a problem in this area.

So, am taking it easy tomorrow--not going out for anything. Refilled water tank when I got back, so have everything I need for a few days. Still have a headache so am taking some Aleve right now.
