Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning y’all. Today’s weather forecast: Cloudy, high in 20’s. Snow accumulating 1-3 inches. Currently 20° typical winters day forecast.

I too was thinking of Shelia yesterday. Beth, hope you get your propane tanks all filled up. Martha, I agree with BJ about Luana’s itching. Could be her food or an external source.

Have been watching g the CA fires and the destruction is unbelievable. I’ve seen many pictures and videos of fires out there over the years, but this is a major urban area, affecting thousands of people. . And far from over. One of my neighbors here, lives in Thousand Oaks and I’m hoping nothing breaks out near there. Also have a friend at church, whose son lives in CA. Not sure if LA area, but will find out if I see her on Sunday.

Nothing exciting happening here. Going to run vac and dust and house will be done for this week. Have a little touchup painting to do in heat baseboards in one bedroom, so will get that done before new carpet gets laid in a bit over a week. Will finish moving out remaining stuff next week. So guess I will get moving here and accomplish something.

Good morning gals!

Just finished my hot protein and cappuccino drink for breakfast.

Yesterday, I got the new propane tube and had the RV tech (who lives here in the park) put it on for me. He says he thinks the other tank needs to be replaced since it looks quite old. I should get a Costco membership since they are just down the street from me and they have cheaper propane. Altho, one of my neighbors told me yesterday that the park is planning to get a huge propane tank so we can fill our tanks up from that and it will be much cheaper. Not sure when that will happen tho.

Got to Heather's in the afternoon and loaded up the rest of my stuff (mostly bigger things) and the car was packed tight! Came back home and unloaded most of it. Some things are going to Julie and Davids and some to the storage unit. My trailer is really getting tight in here! But now I will have time to start going thru each box/bin and putting stuff away. I am ordering sliding metal shelves for the pantry that should work very well to give me not only more space for food storage but also allow me to pull out each self to see what is in the back. The pantry is 2 ft deep and only 9 inches wide so almost impossible to reach back that far to get anything, let alone see what is back there. So this should be a good solution. Someone on one of my FB RV groups suggested it since she has the same sized pantry.

Went out to meet my friend from camp last night for dinner. We talked for almost 2 hours. She is so nice and easy to talk to. Too bad she is moving away to Phoenix, but I can visit her if I am going up that way. She said she has a neighbor here who is a gourd crafter too and has a whole garage full of gourd supplies. She is going to get her info for me so we can get in contact.

I got home and it was toasty in the trailer. Then about 10pm it started getting colder in here. I checked, and no heat coming thru the registers! I checked everything out but couldn't figure out why. So I turned on the fireplace heater again. Luckily, that works awesome. It has a thermostat on it so will come on and turn off based on the temp I set it to. I was worried it might trip a breaker or blow a fuse but so far it hasn't. Will need to make a phone call later to get the RV tech guy over to see what the problem is now. Luckily, he hasn't charged me for these little issues. My new thermostat arrived at Julie's so I will pick that up after my dentist appointment in an hour and he can install that for me too. I will expect a bill for that tho.

Other than these annoying inconveniences, I really do like my trailer. Once everything gets a home and put away, it will be very nice and comfy in here. Still have a few small projects I want to do but those can wait for awhile. Can't work on them until I get things put away first.

I found out that my brother and SIL from MN (Paul and Maryann) will be driving down here for a visit in February. Paul and I have not spoken since the whole wedding situation about 7 years ago (the wedding I didn't go to up in Paso Robles, CA). So it could be a little tense and uncomfortable. I wish we could sit down and talk about how his critical and cynical attitude towards me, upsets me so much, but I know he would just get very defensive.

I have a dentist appt in an hour to get my permanent crown put in. Then will stop at my storage unit and get a few things and put in a few things. I have some of those cloth shoe holders that hang on a door that I saved from the first trailer I had. They come in very handy for storing small things without taking up much space. I can use them in several places around here. Then I will stop at Julie and Davids to visit and pick up a couple packages I had sent there from Amazon.

Well, anyways, I need to get ready here...have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I'm with you Sue the devastation from the fires in California is unbelievable. We are still having weather issues today we have several inches snow now on top of the ice. I would guess 6 or more but not going out to check! . It is rather beautiful but so dangerous. It is supposed to be ending and warmer tomorrow so nice man is coming once again to dig us and the cars out. It has been a bit expensive but at this point I am grateful to have found someone to do it. It really sticks to Toby's hair but not to Emma's which I think is strange. Pippa of course never goes out I think it might be over her head if she did. The deer are everywhere and if I don't see them in the yard the dogs chase them over the fence. I know Emma could jump it easily but so far she hasn't. I am going a bit stir crazy. Barbie hang in there you will get organized some day.It is good you have an RV tech right handy. I hope the meeting with your other brother goes well.

Barbie, one advantage of living full time in an RV is all the things you cannot buy because you have no room to put them!! It really helps curb any shopping trends you might have. I buy gifts for others for holidays and birthdays, but for myself, I can only buy very small things or stuff I will wear or eat.

Sandstorm has ended, so I need to run outside and add water to my tank. I tried to do that and a couple of other things yesterday when I arrived, but the blowing sand was too much. Had to brush my teeth to get grit out!

Also, was reading about norovirus spreading so fast. The EPA says usual disinfectants and hand sanitizers we used for COVID do not work well on this virus, but bleach and hydrogen peroxide do. Check it out here: https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/09/health/video/norovirus-cleaning-products-dr-sanjay-gupta-on-call-digvid

Good afternoon. Been rainy so far but supposed to abate soon. I didn't do too much of anything today. A load of laundry and not much else. It was garbage day so put alot of junk out in the trash. Did a little paperwork, sent Henry into the living room and family room and I even dusted. Then I was done.

Barbie glad you are getting everything in one spot and now will have time to go thru it and sort and dump I call it. Hope you get your propane all dialed in. If your propane tank is too old they usually wont fill it. Safety regulations. But glad you have an RV fellow to get to check it out. Good luck with your dentist appt.
BJ I would stay in too. I love looking at the snow but that is about as far as it goes. I dont want walk or drive in it.....nor shovel it. Emma loves it when we get a little snow. Her hair is kind of like teflon, she just shakes and it all falls off. They told me a long time ago not to dry her off or it would just make her wetter. I do wipe her feet with a towel if she has been out in the muddy part of the yard but that it is.

Martha when we first moved here Emma was so itchy and her hair was falling out and was dry. She normally has a very soft coat but it was dull and not alot of it. So when I took her to the vet they gave her a shot of Apoquel and that helped tremendously. She has not had to have another one and the vet said it was probably the change of environment that triggered it. I dont know about that but the shot helped.

Well I am off to make my spaghetti sauce I didnt make yesterday

I took the return to Staples that didn't make it last week and my Amazon account has already been credited. I took one of my propane tanks to Tractor Supply and got it filled. Got it home and hooked up and got a badly needed shower. I'll probably take the other tank this coming week so this won't happen again. I'm switching sheets on my bed tonight and will do all my laundry tomorrow. I'm starting to eat more foods again but very carefully keeping things away from that side of my mouth. I'm watching a Midsomer Murders right now. Not one of my favorite but keeping my interest enough to keep it on as I read here and while I get my sheets on the bed.

I didn't do much today except bring Luna to the vet this afternoon. He gave her two kinds of pills, one for allergies and an antibiotic because her skin is scratched up. The one for allergies is apoquel in a chewable tablet.

It was cold and windy all day. Sometime last night the wind and rain woke me up because it was making so much noise. The weather says we had 50 to 60 mph gusts and I believe it. It blew two of the vent covers from the bricks around my house. The cats had found the holes and they were under the house. Those vent covers have been an ongoing problem so I put gorilla tape on them. I'll see how well that works. The sun never did come out and it was cold all day. At least it's not snowing.

Barbie, hope you get your heat working. In my previous motorhomes the furnaces never worked. They might come on once and after they stopped they would just blow cold air. I think it's something called a sail switch that wouldn't work. I got tired of trying to get them fixed. I have never even tried to run the furnace in the one I have. I have a heat strip in the air conditioner and that's the only heat I have used.

It was a long day yesterday by the time I was home I didn't do much but go through the house and to my room.... even forgot to turn down the pellet stove... I still don't remember turning it on...
I know that I didn't before the funeral or I don't think that I did
it's a good thing we have a large family there wasn't many there but then I guess she out lived many of her friends... I was just surprised that some that I expected weren't there... how ever the funeral was beautiful and under an hour (just) so it would have met her approval... we had three of the great grandchildren play violins with another granddaughter accompanying them... it was just going to be instrument but that morning they decided to have some of the great grandkids sing with the violins.... I think she would have enjoyed it then 5 of the grandkids did her life sketch... did really well... my brother did most of it... and another song was most of the grand and greats...we had beautiful arrangments she loved flowers... followed by a nice lunch then on to the cemetery which was about 45 mins away ... it was cold had walk through snow banks... thankfully my grandson's were very helpful and one of my brother's was thoughtful enough that he had a blanket in his truck it covered two of us... again a beautiful time some took the opportunity to share thoughts and memories...
had to laugh during the luncheon... my #2 dd came up front got everyone's attention and said their is a big problem (can't recall the exact word but this was closest I can come) going on and we need to solve it here and now so everyone that knows how grandma sneezed please sneeze and all complied AAAWWShit   then someone said nope done wrong we didn't sneeze three times so had to redo it ... she always said it was my dad that sneezed that way but can't with an room full of people to heard it differently ...
after the funeral we spent a bit of time at then house then went over to the motel where many were staying had pizza and visited some went swimming spending time with cousins their age..
my brother was going to have mom's car put in my name but because of mom's rapid decent he wasn't able to get her to sign the paper work not there is concerns about who legally owns the car and the insurance with it .... so guess for awhile I am not able to drive the car.. thought about bring the truck over but with it being a diesel they (brothers) are worried that it would cause issues with it due to the cold we are getting and I don't know if there is a plug in where I could plug it in... so guess till we figure out what to do I will have to rely on other means... usually my dd#2 has cars hanging around but right now they don't their daughter's car broke down today so they are trying to figure out transportation .... guess it will work out
thank you all for your thoughts
you all have a great day

Sheila, your Mother’s funeral sounds lovely. Glad you had time to visit with those there. Thanks for posting.
