Good Morning on this snowy Monday morning. Neighbors just beelined out of here to head downstate. Hope they get ahead of the weather before it really starts in.
Shelia, my condolences to you and your family. At least your mother passed peacefully. We had my mother home with hospice for about a month and I know well the amount of care needed and the strain in the caregiver. My mother passed during the night and I was the one who discovered it. Yes, there is that feeling of loss, and the sudden abrupt change of one’s routine. But at the same time, a feeling of relief that it’s over for both her and yourself. It wasn’t easy for your mom nor you. And getting caught up in the holidays doesn’t help either. But take time for yourself to process and rest. Things will fall into place in their time.
Will be staying today and working in the house. Was going to run down to the Post Office as ran out of stamps to mail out a couple late Christmas, but decided it’s not worth it in this weather unless we get a lull. . So, am goi png to run the vac and then do a slight sanding and painting in that spot on the closet wall. Then can put the stuff back in that closet on the new shelf. Will get a clothes rod later. Then I will move sone more if not all of what remains in there, out. Just the bed and dresser.
Karen and Judy are on an organization binge. Guess I am too, to a point. That tine of year to clean and purge. Although mine is more clean than purge as I’ve already purged a lot of stuff.
So best get busy as time is moving on.
