Tues 12/10

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tues 12/10

Just lost my post :(

Martha. I've used voltaren gel for plantar fasciitis for several years. At the doctor this summer she recommended it for my hip. It's been helping and it's over the counter. I don't use it all the time, not sure why, but I notice a difference when I do.

Also, people thought putting carpet squares was silly. On our chilly nights they help the tt retain temp and me not walking on a cold floor. So I totally understand. And temps here jump all around. It was 80 at 1 and is 73 and windy now with tenor to low/ mid 40's tonight and high of low 60's tomorrow.

Good afternoon gals!

My trailer was supposed to be towed down here this morning but the tow driver called and said his dog got attacked early this morning by another dog while he was taking her out for a walk, so he was on his way to the vet. He texted later that the dog will be OK but had some cuts and puncture wounds. So we need to reschedule the towing.

I shopped on Amazon last night and ordered stuff that I need for the trailer $$$ . I will wait on other things like rugs, curtains, cushion covers, etc. I want to remove all the ugly factory valances on the windows first anyways. I will get a large, light colored area rug for the kitchen/living area that will brighten in up in there, but something that is easy to clean. The cats think rugs are puke pads! :o

My roommate is leaving on Saturday to spend Christmas with her son and his family out east, so I will have the house all to myself for the next few weeks. She won't be back until January 2nd, which is the day I am hoping to get the trailer moved to the park. I am planning to start moving things into the trailer while it is in storage so I don't have to do so much later on.

I have lots of other things to do today so I need to eat some lunch and get busy! Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Turns out Borrego Springs, where I am currently, is part of San Diego County, and that county's electric provider has turned off service for a lot of towns in the county because of Santa Ana winds which might knock down wires and cause fires because it is so dry here. (California really needs to harden its electrical systems!!)

So, power in campground went out last night at about 7 pm and is expected to not come on until Friday at 11 am, more or less. (Not counting on it.) Got a full tank of gas, lots of propane, and went out to find the art in this area. Walked around town and everything is closed, but we don't need anything, and my friend from NY and I are doing fine. She is learning how complicated motorhomes are in terms of having adequate water, power, and not too much sewage.

Glad to hear you got a new trailer, Barbie, and had it inspected before you bought it. Sounds like a good choice and looking forward to seeing it when you get it "customized." Sounds like a lot better than sharing a room somewhere, and am glad for you being near your brother and SIL.

Judy, what a time to have no power, when you have company. Do you at least have water?

At noon the temperature was 80. The noon weather said we had a front coming through this afternoon and the temperature was going to drop 20 degrees. Luna and I made our walk early. I went to town to go to the post office and store. The main thing I wanted at the store was coffee and I forgot it. I will have to take some out of the motorhome in the morning. I bought one tomato in case I wanted to make a hamburger and it was $2.50.

Beth, I think I have some Voltaren Gel around here somewhere. I take Aleve sometimes when I have a lot of pain and it works pretty good for me. I'm sure at my age I am getting arthritis in my joints. The shoulder I dislocated doesn't bother me during the day unless I pick up heavy things but I have trouble at night getting it comfortable. I usually have to sleep with a pillow under my shoulder and arm.

Yes. This site is really full hookup so we have water and sewer—-just not electric except for generator. So doing fine. Much better than all the trailers with no generators! Couple have solar on roofs but I am glad to have a generator!! All stores and shops around.

The tow guy called at 2pm saying he was on his way to pick up the trailer. He got down here just after 5pm. We got it all parked and locked up for the night. I will probably go over to put some stuff in it on Thursday morning before my dentist appointment. Then will have the next 3 days to figure out where I want to put stuff and what I want to do in there.
I will sleep good tonight...

glad that your trailer is where you can access it Barbie now you can have the time to dream about what you want to do... we have a group text between my kids and myself ddil sent a picture of their tree can you find Waldo (their cat) pretty easy then not long after there was another can't remember that kitties name ....followed Waldo then NO another kitties name they all three ended up in the tree no follow up so guessing the tree survived...

Sheila, I was having trouble with my mouse last night too. It has happened before and I thought it was the mouse but it's working fine this morning. I couldn't get into Facebook this morning. Lately I have had trouble with Facebook loading sometimes.

on my laptop I can't get on Facebook... dd tried last night and it just doesn't send the code to enable a person to go further... don't want to do anything to fix it so I can't get on it on the phone which is where I normally get on FB at but for family chat it's just easier on the laptop... that of course helped with the frustration today all is better
