Hi ladies!

It's a bit late for morning coffee so I've put on a pot of turkey noodle soup for dinner. I just put the carcass in the broth so it'll still be a few hours before it's ready. It was 69 degrees when I got up and we'll get into the mid 80's. We ran errands today and did some banking, went to the Winn Dixie grocery store for a few things and on the way home, we stopped at the hardware store in town and bought a Dewalt pressure washer. The one we got from Amazon quit yesterday and we need to finish cleaning our patio. Steve has put it together and as we were walking out to use it, it started raining. It's more heavy duty than the one we had so hopefully we don't have to spend so much time cleaning the concrete. Here's wishing all of you a good day.

Really quiet in here today. It's my birthday and I've pretty much ignored it. Just not in a celebratory mood today. My floor should be done but the guy doing it works on his own schedule which can be frustrating. When he screwed around yesterday I was fine with him saying he'd finish today. But today was worse. He called at 10 that he'd be here in 1/2 an hour. He got here just before 1. Then left an hour later saying he'd be right back and cage back about 4. I said he could finish tomorrow instead at that point. Probably should have made him stay and finish but I needed to walk Ty and fix dinner, etc and I knew he'd still be here. Hopefully tomorrow will go better. Luckily he's getting a set fee or I'd be broke!

Irmi thanks for making something that doesn't make my mouth water. I'm the oddball that doesn't care for turkey. My sister was happy because she always got all the leftover turkey from holiday meals.

Good evening and another Happy Birthday Beth greeting. I dont celebrate birthdays much either. They aren't really very exciting any more ha ha Just another day usually.
Had Bunco this afternoon and some laughs it was fun. I didnt win anything but I never really care it is more for the social gathering I enjoy.
Emma goes to the groomer in the morning and I will go to the store while she is getting beautiful it usually only takes an hour to bath, brush, trim nails and pads. $30 so well worth it and that includes the tip. We go every 6 or 7 weeks. I make my next appt when I am there because they are very busy and full some weeks so easier just to make the appt at the same time as I pick her up.
Just having a bowl of soup and some toast as we always have a dessert during our break so I am not really very hungry. I could stand to miss a meal but we all know that isnt going to happen.

Happy Birthday Beth... it's too bad that you didn't get the things done you wanted finished... it's too bad that the person doing it doesn't think of the inconvenience he is causing ... hopefully tomorrow will be better...
Irmi that soup does sound good .... anything anyone else makes sounds good... and yours always does as does Karen's
I remembered that I had a thermometer in the bedroom so brought it into the living room bedroom was really cold I guess as it started at 64 climbed up to 70 so guess it's not as cold as I thought it was... but even at 70 it feels chilly we will just complain
reheated the tater tot casserole... mom still isn't eating not sure what happened since we got back she has been eating pretty good till this week even today she didn't finish her cream of wheat and normally she does but granted it was a big bowl full I had collected about 3 days of spoonfuls left over it came to more than I thought it would ... but I wanted cold cereal most of the time I am good with hot but I did want cold cereal today
the "kid downstairs" is going to pick up fish from the fish truck tomorrow not sure if on his way home or go just before supper either way it will need to be reheated so guess it doesn't matter which
I invited my two dd's and their families to dinner Sunday as it's my husband's birthday thought we would have what he probably would have asked for just rites and belgium fries and cake and dip if you are acquainted with Maide Rites it's my take on it... and Belgium fries are just potatoes cut differently and deep fried ... but one of my dd's can't come as she is going away for a school thing and the other her son said Saturday would be better... guess I need to give thought to something for Sunday now ...
you all have a great day

Happy belated birthday, Beth.

Hope you get your floor finished soon. I really hate unreliable workers, so frustrating. One time, back when I was working, I hired this guy that came with sterling recommendations to work on my plumbing. I took the whole day off so as to be home - big chunk out of my vacation day bank (so it cost me).

The guy called in the morning to say he would be late, called later in the morning to say he would be later, called after lunch to say he would be there "soon".

I told him to forget it, and just did the job myself. I was steaming.
